Astrology and Mayan Tzolkin for March 30th to April 11th 2015

This is the "Care and feeding of a New World Age" report for Gregorian date of March 30th and 1 - Muluc "moo-luke" or Offering in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, with Mercury moving into Aries, Mars entering Taurus, the Libra Full Moon, Jupiter turning direct, and Venus entering Gemini.

March 30th for 1 - Muluc "moo-luke" or Offering which carries the themes of water, rain collected in water pots, vessels of gratitude for life, clouds heavy with rain, the sacred jade stones used in rituals and burials, offerings made in ceremony, baptisms and purification, deep undercurrents of emotions, restoring equilibrium, appreciation for creation, releasing negative patterns, energy, and emotions and accepting change. The day glyph for Offering depicts a fish who represents the Mayan water deity. The energy of this thirteen day period is about gratitude for life and cleansing the past for transformation in the present. Having 13 - Imix "e-meesh" or Crocodile as a day sign, this is my trecena, where I experience the five days leading up to my Tzolkin return as releasing the past to prepare for a new beginning as I enter my personal round.

Since we begin a new Gregorian month during this trecena, I thought I'd discuss the metaphysics of the upcoming month. April is the fourth month and with the digits for 2015, when added together we get 12, then we add 1 + 2 to tell us that this is an twelve/three month in numerology. Basic numerology reduces numbers to one through nine, so when we think about that arc the 3 represents a time which brings creativity and a chance to let go of some of the intensity of the past two months. The twelve/three combination is represented by the Hanged Man/Empress tarot cards which is about our willingness to turn ourselves upside down to see from a new perspective through nurturing others and ourselves. Alan Cohen expressed the energy of the hanged man in "The world would have you agree with its dismal dream of limitation. But the light would have you soar like the eagle of your sacred visions." The Empress could be described from this quote from "The Road Less Traveled" by Scott Peck, "Love is the will to extend one's self for the purpose of nurturing one's own or another's spiritual growth." So April is a month to change our perspective to find freedom from limitation, through nurturing ourselves and others and expressing our creativity, love, happiness, and optimism, after coming through the fire of the final Uranus Pluto square in March. I think this is a funny synchronicity of having my Tzolkin return during an Empress month. The numerology of my birthday is the 21 Universe, 3 Empress combination. Many years ago I did multi-systemic readings where I would move freely from a person's numerology and Tarot, Mayan day sign, Astrology, and Human Design, in giving a reading. I think there's a video, using my information as a reference, on the New World Birth youtube page.

Before I get into the daily energy for 1 – Muluc "moo-luke" or Offering, on the 30th all the planets appear to be moving forward from our vantage point on Earth, except Jupiter and Saturn which appear to move retrograde or in reverse motion. Remember the themes of retrograde planets are the review the past, re-evaluate, reminisce and we can see these themes being played out. Jupiter retrograde in Leo brings a review of opportunities, faith, religion, beliefs and expansion. Leo is about leadership, creativity, drama, entertainment, and children. Mostly what I find with Jupiter retrograde, as with any retrograde cycle there is a review of the past, and with Jupiter what gets reviewed are missed opportunities. Jupiter turns direct on April 8th so it's at a standstill and at the peak of its power during the Offering trecena. Saturn retrograde reviews our commitments, plans, what we do for work, and structures of our lives. This one is a little more complicated than most because Saturn begins its apparent reverse movement in Sagittarius, but eventually backs into the final degrees of Scorpio. Saturn retrograde is a task master that demands we take responsibility to review, our beliefs while in Sagittarius, and our ethics while in Scorpio.

Ok let's look at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena.
March 30th for 1 – Muluc "moo-luke" or Offering: unity experienced through appreciating creation in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, while Mercury enters Aries which brings our minds and communications into the realm of new beginnings, restlessness, impulsivity, impatience, the self and courage. In Aries, Mercury gains strength imparting aggressiveness in thinking and dialog, and also brilliance to the intelligence. Expect people to become more outspoken and witty, but also impatient and self serving until it moves into Taurus on the April 14th. Also on the 30th Venus trines Pluto which is a day when we might hear from or contemplate contacting a former lover. With Pluto involved this intensifies our emotional expression, as emotions come to the surface that can now be meaningfully expressed to your loved ones. This alignment deepens our emotions and can make relationships intense. It's quite likely people will feel love more strongly under this transit and express those feelings to the object of their affection. Sexual desires also increase under the Venus Pluto connection. This is not an intellectual experience, but rather love expressed through mind, body, and emotions. This transit can produce profound insights that reveal the inner workings of our relationships. Beginning a relationship during this transit indicates that the connection will feel quite intense as if being drawn together by some magical power. This can be a good relationship as long as the couple recognizes that the compulsive quality will wear off before the pairing solidifies into a long term relationship. This transit is great for artistic work because the emotional intensity characteristic can be harnessed in work that reveals the inner depth of the artist's soul. Also on the 30th the Moon in Leo merges with Jupiter, is challenged by Venus, and finds support from Uranus, which shifts from good feelings and generosity towards others, followed by having pleasant energy to be with friends and loved ones, and finally having the impulse to engage in activities that make us feel more alive.

The 31st is 2 - Oc "awk" or Dog: duality experienced through enjoying family and friends, while Mars enters Taurus where it is in its detriment, because Taurus is opposite Scorpio, which is traditionally ruled by Mars. This begins the shift of our desires and drive, Mars entering Taurus which emphasizes comfort and calm as we leave the intensity of March behind. Also on the 31st the Virgo Moon finds support from Mars and is challenged by Saturn which moves from having the energy for asserting ourselves in a positive manner and standing our ground if necessary, to later people feeling lonely or isolated during the square to Saturn.

April 1st is 3 - Chuen "shoe-in" or Monkey: taking action through creating something new, while the Moon in Virgo is opposed by Neptune, and supported by Pluto, which shifts from feeling sensitive emotionally but confused regarding the accuracy of what's being felt, to later feeling on a deeper more intense level under the influence of Pluto.

The 2nd is 4 - Eb "eb" or Road: stability through serving your community, while the Sun trines Jupiter, which is one of the most positive transits bringing enthusiasm and optimism, it can have the effect of people feeling lazy, but I would encourage folks to use this energy to accomplish something good for yourself. This is a day to project positive energy into the environment that can have some influence on your affairs and accomplishing something you desire. Some will see this as "dumb luck", but this transit has its roots in something that was done in the recent past. This is great energy for making changes in your life without feeling a sense of loss. This is also good for studying something of interest to you, particularly subjects that help us to see the world as a whole. Also on the 2nd Mercury trines Saturn in the fire signs of Aries, and Sagitarius. Saturn supporting Mercury which may bring our thoughts to more serious concerns. This brings concentration and attention to details. This is careful energy to be methodical and painstaking. This is good for organizing your environment or your life from a conservative and practical perspective. Counsel from an elder is favored under this influence or you may just want to be alone in your thoughts. Also on the 2nd the Moon finds support from Venus which brings pleasant feelings and social interactions.

April 3rd is 5 - Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn: empowerment through maintaining the home, while the Libra Moon harmonizes with Saturn and opposed by Mercury which moves from realistic expectations through being calm and reflective, to later some feeling a real conflict between feelings and reason and others having fruitful expressions of their deeper awareness either internally or with another.

The 4th is 6 - Ix "eesh" or Jaguar: being in the flow through enjoying nature, while we have the Libra Full Moon and full lunar eclipse with the moon at 14 degrees Libra, in harmony with Jupiter, opposed by the Sun and Uranus, and challenged by Pluto. This is about finding balance between our personal needs with the Sun in Aries and our sensitivity to the needs of those we have emotional relationships with the Moon in Libra. With this lunation sextile Jupiter, the day brings good feelings and congenial social interactions. The new moon opposed by Uranus influences folks to be more emotionally excitable and impulsive and challenged by Pluto to having the compulsion to act in ways that may not be good for them in the long run. People tend to “howl” on the full moon and this one is all that and more. Throughout history eclipses have been seen as bringing challenges particularly in the part of the globe where they can be viewed. This lunar eclipse is the third of four, or tetrad Total Lunar eclipses occurring approximately 6 months apart, which began April 15th of last year followed by October 8th 2014, and the final being September 28 2015 that will be visible across North America. Longtime NASA eclipse expert Fred Espenak said "The most unique thing about the 2014-2015 tetrad is that all of them are visible for all or parts of the USA."

April 5th is 7 – Men "men" or Eagle: reflection through seeing from a higher perspective, with the Sun square Pluto which begins a tense time period when the Sun activates the separating Uranus Pluto square. A square between the Sun and Pluto brings powerful forces that test us from within and without. These tests may lead us to make radical changes in some area of our life that is not working very well. This can be very beneficial for letting go of the old patterns or behaviors that come up for examination at this time. Holding on to what is not working will just make life more difficult. This transit also indicates that persons in authority may demand that we account for our actions or even ourselves. Some people will abuse the power they are wielding under this influence. Also this indicates a breakdown of situations and machinery. No matter what your experience something will make you aware that it needs fixing, and my advice is to fix it whether it's a machine, a relationship, a behavior, or pattern that no longer works. Also on the 5th the Scorpio Moon is opposed by Mars which influences people to be more excitable and irritable which can cause problems in our personal lives.

The 6th is 8 - Cib "keeb" or Wisdom: balance through introspection, meditation and forgiveness, with Mercury trine Jupiter is great energy for making plans for the future from an overview perspective. This transit does influence us to take the easy way out and avoid difficult intellectual and mental problems. Mercury supported by Jupiter is good for business dealings and signing contracts, as we find our minds are sharper to see opportunities that normally are overlooked. This is optimistic and promotes positive thinking and studying subjects that deal with high level thought such as law, philosophy, religion. Also on the 6th Sun conjunct Uranus in the sign of Aries. This day will be full of surprises but also unexpected disruptions. This transit brings the energy that wants freedom from the daily routine to explore your inner self and explore activities that make you feel more alive. This can be a good day to get out of a rut or break a habit. Those folks who are identified with routine and uncomfortable with disruption to their preordained plans will struggle as this transit pushes us to depart from our entrenched expectations that ultimately can lead to a dreary, lifeless existence. Flexibility will greatly enhance your experience of the day, so this might be a day to plan to do something different. On a global and local as well as personal scale, this is the merging of illumination with rebellion in the sign of the individual, so we may see folks strike out against people, governments, and systems of oppression and other unbearable restrictions. The spectrum of this energetic is from liberation on one end to impulsive and rash behavior on the other, with a greater potential for accidents. A day to avoid dangerous situations and activities, particularly if you are feeling anxious or overly excited. Also on the 6th the Moon in Scorpio finds support from Neptune, is challenged by Jupiter, and harmonizes with Pluto which shifts from fantasies and daydreams distracting us from accomplishing routine tasks, followed by benevolent and generous feelings for those in our immediate environment, and finally having deep emotions finding their way to the surface and felt on a profound level.

April 7th is 9 - Caban "kah-ban" or Earth: patience experienced through gratitude for Mother Earth, while Mercury squares Pluto which may have folks can be obsessing about some thought or idea, so it's important in conversations to be open to others' view points and not be forceful in getting others to agree with our beliefs. This may be a time where we experience one thought that dominates the day and leaves little room for anything else. This energy can easily provoke arguments over things that won't seem important in a few days. If you use this energy to explore your inner world, it can bring light to something that was hidden in the depths of our psyches. Great energy for studying subjects that deal with covert or hidden aspects, such as psychology, magic, or the occult, as well as meditation or yoga, to unveil other possibilities of human potential. Also on the 7th the Scorpio Moon is opposed by Venus which brings pleasant energy for enjoying sensual experiences and rich food with a caution against overindulgence.

The 8th is 10 - Etznab "etz-nob" or Flint: manifestation through being introspective, with Jupiter turning direct, meaning that it begins moving forward from our perspective here on Earth, after appearing to move in reverse since early December. Retrogrades are times of reviewing and Jupiter is about opportunities, so this will be a shift from people looking back on missed opportunities as they move forward into a more expansive future. In Leo this will begin a time of expansion to the arts and creativity, as well as opportunities for leadership. I'd expect dramas and ambitions to get a shot in the arm when the King of the Gods moves forward again in the sign of the King of the Jungles. Grandeur, extravagant displays, boasting, personal charm, entertainment, success, and creative opportunities are all themes of Jupiter in Leo. Also on the 8th Mercury conjunct Uranus which continues the interaction between planets and their higher octave planet. Here we have Mercury mind and Uranus higher mind, which can be very exciting as our personal awareness is expanded into the larger consciousness of the Universal Mind. It's very fast energy in thinking and communications which could lead to quantum leaps of faith or on the other side people getting overwhelmed by all the new information. People may also be more prone to accidents as they are moving too fast to be cautious. Also on the 8th the Sagittarius Moon merges with Saturn and is challenged by Neptune which moves from wanting to be alone in our thoughts and feelings, to later daydreams and fantasies feeling more important than reality.

April 9th is 11 - Cauac "cow-ack" or Storm: resolution through recognizing the gifts in adversity, while the Moon in Sagittarius forms a Grand Trine with Jupiter in Leo, and Uranus, Mercury, and the Sun in Aries, which starts as feelings of inner and outer equanimity, followed by having a desire for emotional excitement to engage in activities outside our daily routine, then later feeling in touch with our emotions and expressing them to others, and finally having a sense of harmony within ourselves and supports any type of group activity and relationships with the opposite sex.

The 10th is 12 - Ahau "ah-how" or Sun: understanding through honoring the wisdom and memory of our ancestors, with the Sun conjunct Mercury, which illuminates communications of all kinds. It is positive for being able to get a point across but also to listen more carefully to the expressions of others. Moving toward the Aries new moon energy, this may bring commitments and conversations about new beginnings. Excellent energy to start a business venture with Mercury ruling commerce. Also on the 10th the Capricorn Moon finds support from Mars, feeling a little more confident than usual with the ability to assert ourselves in a positive manner.

April 11th is 13 - Imix "e-meesh" or Crocodile: movement to the next stage through nurturing new beginnings, while Venus enters Gemini which brings a chatty superficial quality to social interactions. Venus in Gemini can bring a carelessness to spending money for the rest of April and into next month, before moving into Cancer May 7th. Also on the 11th the last quarter Moon in Capricorn harmonizes with Neptune, merges with Pluto, and is challenged by Uranus and the Sun which begins the day with greater sensitivity to others' emotions with possible psychic impressions for those who are open, then shifts to having more intense moods rising to the surface from deep in our psyches, later people are likely to act hasty and jump to conclusions, and finally we encounter challenges to our daily routines.

So no matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Offering trecena, take some time to be in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment through introspection, meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time to observe the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a human experience.
