July 27th to August 8th 2013

This is the "Care and feeding of a New World Age" report for Gregorian date of July 27th 2013 for 1 - Etznab "etz-nob" or Flint in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, also the Leo New Moon, and Mercury moving into Leo.

July 27th 2013 is 1 - Etznab "etz-nob" or Flint which carries the themes of
introspection and reflection, sparks of insight, the self-sacrificing healer, the archetype of Chiron, the spiritual warrior, the knife that can be used to heal or harm, duality… right or wrong, good or evil, fear or faith, east or west, feasting or fasting, woman or man, us or them, leaders or followers, left or right mindedness. It reminds me of the story of Chiron, the wounded healer, giving up his immortality so that Prometheus could be freed from his eternal bondage of being chained to a rock and having vultures devour his liver by day and then having it regenerated by night, which was his punishment for bringing fire to humans. The spark that comes from flint. Flint makes us aware of the illusion of our separateness so we can transcend duality. To realize our minds tell us we are this and that, and our hearts tell us that we just are. Boundaries are a construct of the mind… I am another you!

I've included the Human Design transits for the trecena, along with the astrology and Tzolkin day signs. I'll quickly review some of that information before discussing the Neutrino Forecast for the current 1 - Flint 13 day period. We start by looking at the position of the Sun, Earth, Moon, Planets, and Nodes as we would in astrology, except instead of relating them to the Zodialogical constellations and each other, we look at them in relation to the hexagrams of the I'Ching, which are then mapped to specific locations in the body graph. For instance at the beginning of this trecena we have the Sun in Leo but also in the 31st hexagram. The shapes inside the body graph are called centers and represent the next stage in our evolution as humans from having seven chakras to having nine centers. The pathways between the centers are called channels and are from the Kabala. The Sun in the 31st hexagram is mapped to an opening in an energy channel called a gate, and which is the 31st gate of Leading, located on the lower left side of the Throat center in a logical collective energy path called the "Channel of the Alpha". I have found HD to be amazingly accurate and my primary tool when I provide readings. The black strips of paper in this diagram represent the gates activated by the Sun, Planets, and Nodes regardless if they form a channel. So we have the following hanging gates or potentials at the beginning of this 1 - Flint trecena; the Earth in the 41, the Sun in the 31, the North node in the 44 and South Node in the 24, Mercury in the 53, Venus in the 59, Mars and Jupiter in the 52, Uranus in the 21, and Neptune in the 55. Obviously not every gate activation forms a channel, but this information can be very helpful if you know your own Human Design chart, because some of these transits will form channels with potentials in your personal body graph. I'm not going to follow the moon with this demonstration, because it moves so fast that it activates three to four gates a day.

On 1 - Etznab or Flint, we have one channel defined. Pluto in the 38 and Saturn in the 28 we have the Channel of Struggle which will be affecting us until August 4th. This brings experiences where people struggle against overwhelming odds. It is through this archetypal "hero's journey" of fighting for our purpose that empowers others to stubbornly fight for what holds meaning for them. This is about empowerment that comes from being who we are meant to be instead of following the conditioning of our families, schools, religions and governments. They are said to be deaf, so they don't hear the other and become distracted from their authentic path.

Later on the 27th Mars in the 39 connects with Neptune in the 55 which brings the Channel of Emoting, until the 5th, which will be a time period when people feel pressure in the form of an emotional wave. The best way to deal with this level of sensitivity is to appreciate the lows as well as the highs. Recognizing that it is all part of our human experience and is temporary for those of us who don't have this channel in our birth charts. This can bring lessons that yield wisdom as long as we can stay present in moving from hope to despair and back to hope in this cycle. We can tap into great creativity by fueling our melancholy or feeling "blue" into some form of artistic expression. This brings deeply romantic and acoustic sensitivity so listening to music or talking with a loved one is favored.

On the 8th Jupiter in the 39 connects with Neptune in the 55 which brings the Channel of Emoting, until September 7th, which will be a time period when people feel pressure in the form of an emotional wave.

Before I get into the daily energy of the Flint trecena, I thought I'd look at the July 29th "Grand Sextile", or as some refer to it the "Star of David", that is currently becoming very popular as the next "really important shift that spiritual seekers have been waiting for." In other words more hype with very little fact. Hey, it's the one Etznab trecena, if I can't create a few sparks now, then when? First of all as a heretical investigator I have a great difficulty in just going along with peoples' made up and self serving "spiritual" misinformation that seems to be the steady diet of so many. In the past we discussed why Carl Calleman's Mayan Tun calendar continuing after October 28th 2011 was not based on scientific data, but only opinions. We discussed that the December 21st 2012 reported end of the Mayan Long Count was not based on speculation and the great disinformation of the film "2012 Crossing Over" where they repeatedly referenced the solar system crossing the galactic plane, which actually happened in 1998. We discussed the lie that all the planets were in a straight line at that time. We discussed the misinformation of Saturn, Venus and Mercury lining up over the pyramids at Giza. We proved that we are over 300 years away from the "Age of Aquarius". We discussed how the pursuit of unity consciousness benefits the global elite. The popularity of these hoaxes compared to my rebuttals certainly illustrates the Mark Twain quote that "It is easier to fool people than convince them that they've been fooled." Sometimes I wonder why I even continue to point out that "the emperor has no clothes." The forces of misinformation are vast. But I keep going because I agree with George Bernard Shaw's statement "Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance."

So the latest hype is the July 29th "Grand Sextile". The article that seems to be getting the greatest play has an author who is referencing the "Mayan Tzolkin" but in fact he is not discussing the Tzolkin of the Maya, which is what we talk about here at New World Birth. This author is referencing the Dream Spell "Tzolkin" which is completely a false representation and not from the Maya, but the invention of Jose Arguelles... which has nothing to do with the Mayan Tzolkin. Second look at the Earth Grand Trine it is being defined by Pluto along with Venus and the Moon. Given how fast the moon moves this chart will be out of orb within hours. The third point of the Earth Grand Trine is Venus which is also currently moving very fast covering more than a degree in a day, faster in movement than even the Sun at the time of the "Grand Sextile". The significance of this configuration is as a kite, with the Water Grand trine and Pluto acting as the tail. This is more folks creating drama out of nothing, except their own wishful thinking. This type of hype is the worst form of "spiritual" guidance, but people would rather consume false sugar coated non-sense and look for the quick fix, as if we are all going to ascend because of a date, or alignment. This type of information is toxic and a distraction to keep people from finding their own path as an authentic individual.

Why should I care about this type of disinformation? I am repulsed by people looking for the quick fix to come from the cosmos from some portal, star gate, ascension, or any other cosmic gift that does not require any real work from us, just to have been born at the right moment, to be incarnated when Santa Claus makes his visit. The Koran speaks "Do you expect to enter the gates of Heaven without going through the trials of those who passed before you?" What this type of misinformation does is it causes people to lose hope. Personally I've had enough of this date and that date, that will change humanity. There is only now. I used this Krishnamurti quote last time but it is an important statement, which is "The only hope for humankind is in the transformation of the individual." Don't look out there for your transformation. It resides inside of you to awaken to and shine as a beacon for others to realize they too can find their authentic selves. Or wait until the 29th to realize this is one more hoax that leaves people feeling disappointed and questioning if there is any valid information that they can trust. These types of posts leave people disenchanted and are spiritually damaging. I don't wish to rain on anyone's parade, but I feel I must speak up when it's a parade of lemmings going over a cliff...again.

On the lighter side, August is the eighth month and with the digits for 2013, when added together we get 14, then we add 1 + 4 to tell us that this is a fourteen/five month in numerology. Basic numerology reduces numbers to one through nine, so when we think about that arc the five represents the middle of the journey where we reach the peak of the mountain before heading down the other side. Until the five month, information is obstructed from view as we climb, then at the peak we can see the lay of the land for the rest of the journey. August will bring changes that break through the restrictions of the past to shift us in a new direction. A five month brings new opportunities, options, and choices through our creativity. The fourteen/five combination are represented by the Art/Temperance and the Hierophant in the Tarot cards, which is about integration of opposites to discover the ground that transcends them both, which we bring forth as teachers, who learn from what we share and the experience of those who honor us by implementing our guidance in their lives.

At first glance August does not seem to have the intensity of the previous months with no planets changing directions or any transpersonal planets changing signs. But looking a little deeper we have Jupiter entering into the t-square with Uranus and Pluto which expands our efforts regarding our true purpose and the security of our homes and families against the forces of tyranny. When Venus moves into Libra it creates a grand cross with Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto late in August. I don't know how many other ways I can say transform, which is the theme of the current years. Jupiter in Cancer opposed by Pluto in Capricorn and squaring Uranus in Aries, pushes us to move beyond our old conditioned responses and break through into the freedom of acting as your authentic true self in August. The dance becomes even more interesting on the 7th when Jupiter exactly opposes Pluto, then on the 21st Jupiter exactly squares Uranus, and the grand finale of August hits from the 23rd to the 29th when Venus newly in Libra forms a very challenging Grand Cross opposing Uranus in Aries while both planets square Jupiter opposing Pluto. The moon adds to the intense configuration as it moves through Cancer on the 3rd and 4th, then Libra on the 10th and particularly on the 11th, then Capricorn on the 17th, and finally in Aries on the 23rd and 24th. Grand Crosses are difficult energy so this will be a time of challenges.

As we begin the Flint trecena, all the planets appear to move forward from our vantage point on Earth except Chiron, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto which appear to move retrograde or in reverse motion. As I've said before planets don't really move in reverse in their orbits, but appear to move backward much like being in a car passing a slower moving car. There is a point where the slower moving car appears to be moving in reverse when compared to landmarks in the far distance. Chiron retrograde in Pisces is about releasing stuck emotional energy, so that we can return to the natural flow of life. Retrograde Chiron has us reviewing our wounds so that they can be released, by having the courage to open our hearts to any fear or pain associated with our past. When Chiron is in Pisces people are willing to sacrifice their individual pain in hopes of finding bliss in Universal consciousness. At its worst this can manifest as folks justifying their victimhood as some form of martyrdom. This should be transcendence and surrender without losing ourselves in the experience. The retrograde aspect brings a longing for lost loves and the memories of our losses, encouraging us to return to look at our core wounds and bring them to the surface so they can be healed. Retrograde Uranus in Aries is seeking to shake our very foundation through the unexpected rebellion of the individual. This can shock us to awaken and forces us to embrace our new way of living through reversals and unexpected events. It is best to embrace the changes when they occur, because they are removing the obstacles to our new direction. This is about unplanned experiences that disrupt our perceived and planned life path in order to move us forward in our spiritual evolution, individually and globally. This quote from Gandhi also describes this energy when he said, “If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. We need not wait to see what others do.” It's interesting that Gandhi led Indians in protesting the national salt tax with the Dandi Salt March in 1930 when Uranus was last in Aries. Gandhi certainly showed the impact one individual can have on the world. Retrograde Neptune in Pisces is seeking transcendence through spiritual experiences. This will be a time to use spiritual practices to keep us grounded as we expand our intuition and consciousness. This will be important energy to nurture as we are in the middle of four years of the unexpected rebellion of the individual (Uranus in Aries) challenging the decaying power structure (Pluto in Capricorn). This will be a difficult time of upheaval, destruction, death, unexpected change, natural disasters, violence and war, so finding our own peace in our connection to spirit will be an important quality to cultivate now for the tumultuous road we are traversing. Neptune pushes us to transcend the physical world to connect with our higher purpose and spiritual transformation, but also encourages escapism as some will seek unconsciousness while others to awaken. With Pluto, the planet of transformation through a death and rebirth cycle, moving retrograde, which is about reviewing the past, and will require releasing anything from the past that is a burden to our new path. We can choose to let go or we can have it ripped from our hands, really all we have is the choice about how we want to react, but Pluto will take our baggage regardless of our attachment, if it doesn't have a purpose in our rebirth. Pluto represents death, completion, and in Capricorn, the breakdown of structures, to bring about transformation.

Ok let's look at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena. July 27th 2013 is 1 - Etznab "etz-nob" or Flint: unity experienced through being introspective, Mars opposes Pluto which activates the T-square to Uranus between the 27th and the 31st, as a time period that reignites the revolutionary upheaval to collapse the structures that have outgrown their usefulness. This may seem out of control and very intense when Mars opposes its higher octave planet Pluto. Mars is personal desire and will. Pluto represents the higher will and desire to transcend limitation to become our authentic and empowered Self. In opposition these forces are in a tense relationship with each other. While the Sun squares Saturn which brings controlling, conservative and limiting energy to challenge the expression of our true selves, with the Aries Moon finding support from the Sun, challenged by Jupiter, Mars, Pluto, and Mercury, and merging with Uranus. The day's emotional energy starts with a sense of inner harmony which is mirrored in the outside world, later shifts to benevolent and generous feelings for those in our immediate environment, then feeling irritable which could lead to needless disputes along with having the compulsion to act in ways that may not be good for us in the long run, then later shifts to people feeling impulsive and acting rashly, with moods changing quickly and unexpectedly, and finally being critical in their communications particularly with the people they have intimate relationships with. The 28th is 2 - Cauac "cow-ack" or Storm: duality experienced through recognizing the gifts in adversity, Venus sextiles Jupiter brings feelings of contentment and benevolence. A very nice sense of being at peace with the world. This is favorable for financial dealings, particularly foreign investments, or agreements related to medicine or legal matters. Also this is a very good day for getting together with friends and enjoying this lighthearted transit, with the Moon in Aries making no angles and void of course all day which does not favor major decisions or purchases, but is good to use for resting to assimilate this latest round of energy and experiences. July 29th is 3 - Ahau "ah-how" or Sun: taking action through honoring the wisdom and memory of our ancestors, we continue to have Jupiter activating the grand trine in water moving through Cancer connecting favorably with Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. A second grand trine, this time in earth, appears on July 29, which has been a point of interest for many because the planets form a hexagram with the water trine. This will be short lived because it involves the Moon and Venus along with Pluto, so the impact of the Earth Trine will at best last a few hours. The intensity peaks towards the end of July as Mars brings even more instability to the Uranus Pluto square pushing us to follow our own individual authentic paths rather than submitting to the machinery of governments and corporations, with the Last Quarter Taurus Moon harmonizing with Neptune, Jupiter, and Mars, opposed by Saturn, challenged by the Sun, and supported by Venus and Pluto. The day's emotional wave moves from being very sensitive to the moods of others while also feeling lonely and isolated, then later we encounter challenges to our daily routines, while feeling in the flow and having a sense of wholeness, to later in the day enjoying social interactions with others with Pluto bringing out intense emotions and stimulates sensitivity, which also favors sexual relationships, and finally desiring to work independently from others. The 30th is 4 - Imix "e-meesh" or Crocodile: stability through nurturing new beginnings, as Venus trines Pluto which is a day when we might hear from or contemplate contacting a former lover. With Pluto involved this intensifies our emotional expression, as emotions come to the surface that can now be meaningfully expressed to your loved ones. Also on the 30th the Moon in Taurus is stimulated by Mercury which is a day with increased communications. Lots of chatting with friends, neighbors, coworkers... July 31st is 5 - Ik "eek" or Wind: empowerment through communication, with Mars square Uranus which brings aggressive revolutionary energy as the integrity of the old world structures continue to be assaulted, as those in power violently try to suppress the individuals fighting for change and humanity. This would be a time to be cautious to avoid being involved in any accidents, with the Gemini Moon challenged by Neptune which has the emotional energy of daydreams and fantasies feeling more important than reality. August 1st is 6 - Akbal "awk-bol" or Night: being in the flow through contemplating the stars, with the Moon in Gemini harmonizing with the Sun and Uranus, and challenged by Venus. The day moves from feeling balance between our inner and outer worlds, to later having pleasant energy to be with friends and loved ones, along with pleasant yet restless energy that desires emotional excitement. August 2nd is 7 - Kan "con" or Seed or Lizard: reflection through planting seeds and making new connections, with Venus sextile Mars which favors love relationships and the formation of friendships. This brings balance between being self assertive and the desire to relate to others. In romantic or sexual relationships this comes about through a "give and take" process and in friendships we encourage others to be their selves by being authentic ourselves.  This also brings action (Mars) to creative projects (Venus). Overall it is a drive to beautify. A great day to be with others at a party, or a night "out on the town" with the energy for lively interactions, particularly with the opposite sex. This is also good for investments in something new and unique. Both Venus in Virgo and Mars in Cancer are in the signs of their fall, which means that folks struggle with the lack of perfection in romance (Venus in Virgo) and Cancer is very soft energy for Mars, so we can expect people to be somewhat frustrated under these influences. Also on the 20th the Gemini Moon making no angles and void of course all day which is positive for resting to assimilate this latest round of energy and experiences, but not good for making major decisions or purchases. The 3rd is 8 - Chicchan "chee-chan" or Serpent: balance through being flexible, as the Cancer Moon finds support from Neptune and Saturn, merges with Jupiter and is opposed by Pluto. The day moves from our innermost subconscious fantasies and daydreams confusing reality, which may not be great for accomplishing much work, while we settle into a more sober and realistic view of life, and later this shifts to good feelings and generosity towards others with deep emotions rising to the surface. August 4th is 9 - Cimi "key-mee" or Transformation: patience experienced through releasing what no longer serves us, with the Sun trine Uranus coloring the day's energy to engage in new and different activities that lead to self discovery and a greater understanding of the world. This is more exciting energy than we have most days. People will be more perceptive and able to make changes with a greater understanding of the interrelationships within our lives. Expect folks to be more forthright in expressing themselves without trying to filter what is expressed for the benefit of the listener. This day is good for studying science, something technical, or occult subjects such as astrology, because it brings the ability to find greater understanding of any discipline that reveals new and exciting aspects of the universe. On the other hand this will be a difficult day for just following the daily routine, so get out there and do something you've always wanted. It's a great day to cross something off your "bucket list" and you'll probably gain some new self awareness in the process. The Moon in Cancer is challenged by Uranus, merges with Mars, and harmonizes with Venus. Earlier in the day people are likely to act hasty and jump to conclusions, then shifts to irritable feelings and critical communications, then having pleasant energy to be with friends and loved ones. The 5th is 10 - Manik "man-eek" or Deer: manifestation through being of service to others, with the Moon merging with Mercury and challenged by Saturn which starts as positive energy for integrating our thoughts and moods and later may bring a few hours of feeling lonely and out of touch with others. August 6th is 11 - Lamat "la-maught" or Star: resolution through being grateful for abundant relationships, as the Leo New Moon finds support from Uranus and merges with the Sun. This continues to push the wave of seeing a new horizon through new information that arrives out of nowhere. This moon craves emotional excitement and in Leo there is the urge to roar. People will have the impulse to engage in activities that make them feel more alive. This brings a surge of new creativity through making different choices, exploring new options, and investigating unrealized desires. This new moon is about exploring the edge, because the familiar is no longer the preferred. New moons are times of new beginnings and in Leo is about power, exuberance, creativity, enthusiasm, and drama, which is ruled by the Sun. New Moons bring the opportunity to set an intension for manifestation on the following full moon. Look to the house of your astrology chart that contains 14 degrees Leo to consider what area of your life is being activated by this new moon. For me that would be my third house of communication, immediate environment, self expression, connections to family, and day to day travel, so I would set an intension related to using this energy, such as recording the video for the 1 - Monkey trecena on that day. That would fulfill the Leo New Moon's desire for dramatic expression through the third house's role of communication. The 7th is 12 - Muluc "moo-luke" or Offering: understanding through appreciating creation, as Jupiter is opposed by Pluto which begins Jupiter's interaction with the Uranus Pluto square to exactitude. This can seem like the completion of a long drive towards success or power, but it brings an important caution, because there is resistance from unseen and powerful forces. This is a time to follow your strategy and authority very closely if you've had a Human Design reading, to move through this time with relative ease, as opposed to folks who will try to think their way through something the mind can't grasp and only detriments. People can become ruthless in their desire to get ahead, under this Jupiter Pluto tug of war. The influence will last a few days before and after the 7th. This is a time where there are difficulties with the law and even arrests, so this will be important to watch local and world events as people will provoke authorities with very unfavorable consequences. This also indicates the possibility of fanatical or obsessive behavior, where folks are certain they are right and unwilling to consider another point of view. Self righteousness will abound. This day can go either way from making a power play or being the victim of one. The best way to navigate this energy is to work for the best interest of others, for the highest good, but recognize that beliefs can change so be open to considering other opinions, with the Moon in Leo making no connections and void of course all day, you may want to avoid major decisions and purchases and instead use the day for resting to assimilate this latest round of energy and experiences. August  8th is 13 - Oc "awk" or Dog: movement to the next stage through enjoying family and friends, as Mercury moves into Leo which brings two weeks of more eloquence and leadership in communication. Expect that people will express themselves with a little more drama. It would be best to avoid being arrogant or boastful under the Leo Mercury influence. While the Virgo Moon opposes Neptune, harmonizes with Saturn and Jupiter, and finds support from Pluto. The day moves from feeling sensitive emotionally but confused regarding the accuracy of what's being felt, while wanting to be alone in our thoughts and feelings, and finally feeling on a deeper more intense level under the influence of Pluto, with wanting to be with old friends and having congenial interactions.

So no matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Flint trecena, take some time to be in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment through introspection, meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time to observe the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a human experience.

July 14th to July 26th 2013

This is the "Care and feeding of a New World Age" report for Gregorian date of July 14th 2013 and 1 – Chicchan "chee-chan" or Serpent in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, also Uranus turning retrograde, Mercury turning direct, Venus moving into Virgo, the Sun moving into Leo, and the Aquarius Full Moon.

July 14th 2013 is 1 – Chicchan "chee-chan" which carries the themes of unity, flexibility, fluidity, movement, creation of time, kundalini, bringer of rain, the sky serpents, blood lightning, passion, the life force that flows through everything, the energy connecting our primal root electricity to our spiritual expression and the transcendence of duality, "Samadhi". Serpents are important in many different cultures from kundalini of the Hindi chakra system and blood lightning in the Mayan tradition to the Greek serpent eating it own tail, represents life, death and rebirth. Often associated with Gnosticism, it represents eternity. In China the snake is replaced with Dragon eating its own tail. In Aboriginal Australia the Rainbow Serpent is the guardian of life, fertility, water and other precious resources. And of course the Mayan god Quetzalcoatl, is the feathered or plumed serpent, the god of wind, the giver of breath and also the creator deity, when he descended into the land of the dead to gather up precious bone which he sprinkled with his own blood to create humans. This thirteen day period is an important time to connect with spirit, to have faith in your journey, experience gratitude in the moment, and let love guide your actions.

I've included the Human Design transits for the trecena, along with the astrology and Tzolkin day signs. I'll quickly review some of that information before discussing the Neutrino Forecast for the current 1 - Serpent 13 day period. For instance at the beginning of this trecena we have the Sun in Cancer but also in the 62nd hexagram. The shapes inside the body graph are called centers and represent the next stage in our evolution as humans from having seven chakras to having nine centers. The pathways between the centers are called channels and are from the Kabala. The Sun in the 62nd hexagram is mapped to an opening in an energy channel called a gate, and which is the 62nd gate of Details, located on the upper left side of the Throat center in a logical collective energy path called the "Channel of Acceptance". I have found HD to be amazingly accurate and my primary tool when I provide readings. The black strips of paper in this diagram represent the gates activated by the Sun, Planets, and Nodes regardless if they form a channel. So we have the following hanging gates or potentials at the beginning of this 1 - Serpent trecena; the Earth in the 61, the Sun in the 62, the North node in the 1 and South Node in the 2, Mercury in the 53, Venus in the 4, Jupiter in the 52, Uranus in the 21, and Neptune in the 55. Obviously not every gate activation forms a channel, but this information can be very helpful if you know your own Human Design chart, because some of these transits will form channels with potentials in your personal body graph. I'm not going to follow the moon with this demonstration, because it moves so fast that it activates three to four gates a day.

On 1 - Chicchan or Serpent, we have one channel defined. Pluto in the 38 and Saturn in the 28 we have the Channel of Struggle which will be affecting us until the beginning of August.

Later on the 14th Mercury in the 39 connects with Neptune in the 55 which brings the Channel of Emoting, until the 26th, which will be a time period when people feel pressure in the form of an emotional wave.

Before I get into the daily energy of the Chicchan trecena, I thought I'd look at Mars having moved into Cancer on the day before the Serpent trecena, joining the Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter in the sign of the nurturer of the Zodiac with its focus on home and family, but also on using our feelings to determine if our outer world is in alignment with our inner world. This also brings an emphasis of the element of water with this stellium or group of planets in Cancer, along with Neptune in Pisces and Saturn in Scorpio, the other two water signs. Feeling, intuition and flow are themes from this watery alignment that will continue to affect us throughout the year, through Jupiter's optimism, Saturn's discipline, and Neptune's spiritual connection, later Chiron will join the party merge the theme of healing with spirit. As these planets move through Cancer they form a grand trine from Jupiter on the 17th and Mars on the 20th, with Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. It's interesting to see Neptune and Saturn "play" together, but I think working on creativity will be an excellent way to merge these energies. This is a very positive transit when these planets are between 4 and 5 degrees of Cancer. Later when the same planets approach 10 to 12 degrees Cancer they are opposed by Pluto and challenged by Uranus which continues the wave of transformation as it receives another series of pulses due to these planetary alignments. The Pluto Uranus square is activated by Mars during the last week of July. Cancer wants to feel emotionally secure and connected to a tribe, which with Jupiter in the sign will expand and restructure the role of family during the upheaval of the Uranus Pluto squares.

At the beginning of the Serpent trecena, all the planets appear to move forward from our vantage point on Earth except Mercury, Chiron, Neptune and Pluto which appear to move retrograde or in reverse motion. As I've said before planets don't really move in reverse in their orbits, but appear to move backward much like being in a car passing a slower moving car. There is a point where the slower moving car appears to be moving in reverse when compared to landmarks in the far distance. Mercury is retrograde until July 20th so it's a good time to avoid signing contracts or other legal papers, making any major purchases, or even taking a new job. If you can postpone these types of activities the terms will be much clearer after Mercury is moving direct. Mercury retrogrades force us to slow down and pay more attention to our lives by making us focus on the details of our daily experience. The retrograde cycle provides information about a change or correction in our cosmic course. In the sign of Cancer, the themes of powerful feelings, emotional awareness, and intuition, guiding our adjustments within our homes and families will be particularly apparent and could have a profound effect on our lives. During the Serpent 13 day period Mercury is slowing down as it stops and turns direct at 13 degrees Cancer on the 20th. When a planet slows down to a stop from our perspective here on earth, that planet is considered to be at the peak of its power. Even folks who don't follow astrology are aware of Mercury retrograde's effect on communication, technology and travel. From the 15th to the 23rd is the most difficult energy of this retrograde cycle because as Mercury is at a standstill it is also within orb to opposing Pluto and squaring Uranus thus creating a T-square that people will feel as pressure that may lead to unexpected events. I'd realize that folks are more likely to pop, so use some caution and awareness when dealing with people who may feel stressed and don't know why. This time before Mercury changes directions would be wise to pay closer attention to things that you say, instructions that you have to read, contracts that must be signed.

This should be transcendence and surrender with losing ourselves in the experience. The retrograde aspect brings a longing for lost loves and the memories of our losses, encouraging us to return to look at our core wounds and bring them to the surface so they can be healed. This will be a difficult time of upheaval, destruction, death, unexpected change, natural disasters, violence and war, so finding our own peace in our connection to spirit will be an important quality to cultivate now for the tumultuous road ahead.

The big change of the Serpent trecena and the energetic that will require Chicchan's flexibility, is Uranus in Aries slowing to a stop as it prepares to turn retrograde at 12 degrees Aries on July 17th. The "Sky Serpents" and the "Sky God" meet. When a planet is stopped it is said to be at the peak of its power, so Uranus at the peak of its power during July, is seeking to shake our very foundation through the unexpected rebellion of the individual. This can shock us to awaken and forces us to embrace our new way of living through reversals and unexpected events. It is best to embrace the changes when they occur, because they are removing the obstacles to our new direction. Obviously this will be a difficult time of upheaval, destruction, death, unexpected change, natural disasters, violence and war. Stationed Uranus in Aries will have people wanting to hurry the process of getting free. To push the river of revolution whether it be personal or governmental. This impulse may not be in the best interest of those acting on it, because with Pluto in Capricorn these changes and their consequences may be long lasting and very difficult to reverse. I think that this is the time of detaching (Uranus) to act as an unobstructed individual (Aries). When I think of the day Uranus changed sign moving from Pisces into Aries on March 11 2011, I always remember that was the day of the Japanese earth quake and tsunami which crippled the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plants, which are  still unstable and spewing radiation to this day. And of course Uranus rules Uranium... Uranus in astrology forces us outside our comfort zone so we have to look for possibilities "outside the box." This is about unplanned experiences that disrupt our perceived and planned life path in order to move us forward in our spiritual evolution, individually and globally. Edward Snowden and Julian Assange represent people having Uranus in Aries experiences in the public eye. This quote from Gandhi also describes this energy when he said, “If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. We need not wait to see what others do.” It's interesting that Gandhi led Indians in protesting the national salt tax with the Dandi Salt March in 1930 when Uranus was in Aries. Gandhi certainly showed the impact one individual can have on the world.

Uranus spends approximately seven years in a sign and leaves Aries for Taurus in 2018 then retrogrades back to Aries and finally departs for almost 80 years, March of 2019. These seven year cycles are about testing us to adapt to a new change, and we are currently experiencing the Aries test. Being an outer planet, Uranus creates events that we "respond" to. The inner planets effect us personally as individuals, but the outer planets change the landscape which effects us as a collective and as individuals within humanity. Which reminds me of this Krishnamurti quote "The only hope for humankind is in the transformation of the individual." Uranus creates challenges according to the sign it's in, so we may feel like we keep getting lessons in a theme over and over again. Uranus being the modern ruling planet of Aquarius, means that fairness is one of the topics, and often these events may seem unfairly set against us. I know I feel this with government and corporations conspiring to poison us with GMO food and starve us through austerity measures, oil and tar sand spills, fracking, chemtrails, geo-engineering, and manmade massive weather events, while the global elite eat organic food, build underground bunkers, and hoard seeds in arctic vaults. Which brings us to the theme of Aries: the self, the individual, the new beginning... This time particularly impacts people with personal planets in the signs of Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, and of course Aries, as these planets become doorways to something unexpected and yet authentic. Which sets the stage for the epic seven challenging squares with Pluto in Capricorn that we've been discussing since last year. As the individuals (Aries) revolting (Uranus) against the decaying power (Pluto) structures (Capricorn), which we can see this in almost every corner of the Earth as the individuals and groups protest oppression from the global elite. I believe the uprisings will be successful in overthrowing the old regimes and patriarchy, but it's an uphill fight for some time to come. Interestingly, the last time there were Uranus Pluto squares, was 1932 to 1934, Uranus was in Aries as it is now, and as I have talked about before the Mercury retrograde cycles repeat every 79 years, so we are currently repeating the 1934 Mercury cycle which brings forward similar aspects that we see being played out in the event field. That was a time of great upheaval with events such as the Dust Bowl, which was caused by farming practices that stripped the soil, which when the weather changed destroyed the landscape. Also that was the time of the Great Depression with international power struggles, leadership changes, and financial adjustments, such as the New Deal programs, under F.D.R. in the U.S. from 1933 to 1936, as a safety net for the poor and unemployed, which are the same programs that the U.S government is currently trying to dismantle. And we see these themes being played out in many other countries at that time as well.

In thinking of the many environmental events we are facing whether manmade or natural, I was reminded that Uranus was one of the original gods to the Greeks. He was the sky god and the husband of the earth goddess Gaia. He was born out of the primordial chaos, and came every night to cover the earth and mate with Gaia. Unfortunately he hated the children she bore him and killed or imprisoned most of them, until his son Cronus or Saturn ambushed his father, castrated him, and cast the severed testicles into the sea, which then became Aphrodite or Venus the goddess of love. After being disposed the sky no longer covered the earth at night and instead held its place above the earth. Which I guess was the beginning of being able to study the movements of the planets and stars in the night sky.

Ok let's look at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena. July 14th 2013 is 1 – Chicchan "chee-chan" or Serpent: unity experienced through being flexible, with Uranus at a standstill before turning retrograde on the 17th expect the "Winds of Change" to be building to gale force strength as new information flies by our consciousnesses to become aware of changes that must be made to bring us more in alignment with our true self, with the Moon in Libra being challenged by Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto. The day moves from people feeling irritable and having needless disputes while feeling on a deeper more intense level, but later shifts to feeling benevolent and generous to those in our immediate environment, and wraps up with having the compulsion to act in ways that may not be good for us in the long run. The 15th is 2 - Cimi "key-mee" or Transformation: duality experienced through releasing what no longer serves us, with the First Quarter Moon in Libra being opposed by Uranus, challenged by Mercury and the Sun, and in harmony with Venus. Early in the day folks are emotionally excitable and impulsive, then shifts our moods influencing our ability to think rationally, later to wanting to be with friends and the people we love, and finally we have challenges to following a daily routine. July 16th is 3 - Manik "man-eek" or Deer: taking action through being of service to others, with the Scorpio Moon finding support from Mars, Jupiter, and Neptune, and merging with Saturn, which has us feeling a little more confident than usual with the ability to assert ourselves in a positive manner, and later we have a pleasant sense of wellbeing, yet wanting to be alone in our thoughts and feelings, while keeping our inner most thoughts and feelings to ourselves while fantasies and daydreams distract us from accomplishing routine tasks. The 17th is 4 - Lamat "la-maught" or Star: stability through being grateful for abundant relationships, as Uranus turns retrograde which will inspire people to break out of anything that confines them. The "Wind of Change" changing direction will move the revolutionary energy to a more personal place until mid-December. Also on the 17th Jupiter in Cancer trines Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces, which is a beneficial gathering of three powerhouses. This is the fourth and in my opinion the most powerful activation of the Water grand trine. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer as it finds comfort and expands to meet the emotional needs of Cancer. Neptune is in its own sign, and Saturn is in mutual reception with Pluto in Capricorn. This is miracle energy at best, and still positive at worst. You might want to look where 4 degrees and change, almost 5 degrees Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces fall in your astrology to determine how this might influence you. For me this will be Jupiter in my first house (self), Saturn in the fifth (creativity) and Neptune in the 10th (career). I might experience an expansion in my sense of self through working creatively which could bring otherworldly insights to my career and/or status. I think that for those who have been following my advice regarding Saturn trine Neptune, as a time to work (Saturn) on creativity (Neptune) or to engage in spiritual (Neptune) practices (Saturn), with Jupiter in the mix this may be the time that those experiences yield their payoff. With so much water and Uranus at the peak of its power this may be a time period when people have difficulty keeping their feelings and emotions to themselves. The period of the Grand Trine with the planets in Cancer connecting with Saturn and Neptune feel like an oasis in the expansive desert of the Uranus Pluto squares. Drink deeply at this time, enjoy the gifts, prepare your camel for the long journey ahead, Jupiter brings the gifts and on the 20th Mars will bring the action. This is great for a retreat or vacation to renew our bodies, minds, and inspiration. Also on the 17th the Moon in Scorpio harmonizes with Pluto and finds support from Mercury, the day moves from deep emotions finding their way to the surface and felt on a profound level, to later being more in touch with our feelings and able to share them with others. July 18th is 5 - Muluc "moo-luke" or Offering: empowerment through appreciating creation, with the Moon challenged by Venus and Neptune, and supported by the Sun. The day moves from pleasant energy for being with the other we want to know better, to having a sense of harmony within ourselves and supports any type of group activity and relationships with the opposite sex, and finally brings our dreams into the day's vibration. The 19th is 6 - Oc "awk" or Dog: being in the flow through enjoying family and friends, as Saturn trines Neptune, which can bring new understanding as we connect "Heaven and Earth" through these two diverse energetics. Saturn grounds Neptune's spiritual flow and Neptune lifts Saturn up out of the trenches. Together I think we will feel supported in having our feet on the ground with our heads in the stars, with the Sagittarius Moon finding support from Uranus which brings a desire for emotional excitement to engage in activities outside our daily routine. July 20th is 7 - Chuen "shoe-in" or Monkey: reflection through creating something new, as Mercury turns direct at 13 degrees Cancer heralding a time to implement the revision to our previous course that we have become aware of from the information and experiences we had during the retrograde cycle. It will take a few days to gain momentum, but over the next few days we'll feel the invisible attraction to begin our new journey, as we may see the issues we have been experiencing related to thinking, communicating, and travel start to clear out, so you may still feel confusion as Mercury is picking up speed after three weeks of appearing to be in reverse. Mercury is within a degree of squaring Uranus as both planets are at a standstill and at the peak of their power and these are planet octaves which will make this time of Mercury turning direct more challenging than normal with increased possibility of conflicts and disruption as Mercury is getting oriented with its new map of course correction for our lives, Uranus includes some unexpected last minute alterations, and we have the energy that wants to implement it, as Mars trines Neptune and Saturn. This is the fifth and final activation of the positive grand trine in water. Mars supported by Neptune is best used in activities that help others rather than yourself. This is energy for spiritual pursuits where we have a drive to learn how we relate to all other people and to the universe. With Saturn's support Mars finds patience and the willingness to do difficult and precision work. This is a rare time when Mars' usual erratic and impulsive energy can be focused and concentrated on a task that demands constant attention even if the job is not rewarding or glamorous. The three planets in water signs open the doorway for emotional evolution. Jupiter brought the gift on the 17th, today Mars brings the action. Also on the 20th the Moon finding support from Venus, in harmony with Neptune and Saturn, and opposed by Mars and Jupiter, brings an emotionally shifting day beginning with enjoying pleasant feelings along with enjoying social interactions, then later can promote changes in career or business directions, along with realistic expectations through being calm and reflective, and greater sensitivity to others' emotions, while people are more excitable and irritable which can cause problems in our personal lives, yet there is also generosity. You can choose to amplify any of these qualities, while recognizing others may also be making choices consciously or unconsciously. The 21st is 8 - Eb "eb" or Road : balance through serving your community, as the Capricorn Moon merges with Pluto, is challenged by Uranus, and opposed by Mercury. Early in the day we have more intense moods rising to the surface from deep in our psyches, and later folks acting hasty and jumping to conclusions that may not be correct, while feeling a conflict between our moods and reason. July 22nd is 9 - Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn: patience experienced through maintaining the home, with Venus moving into Virgo which brings a level of caution to romance and socializing. This will be a time when people want to feel special in the eyes of their partners. For some reason this placement of Venus tends to promote scandal. This can also bring a love for the world at large rather than just one person. As the Sun moves into Leo, which is its place of rulership, for the next month's time we can expect more drama and creative energy. People may seem more witty, vivacious, chatty, so expect life to turn a little more entertaining when the sun shines on the King of the Jungle, with the Full moon at 0 degrees and 6 minutes Aquarius, which squares Saturn. This is about finding balance between our social consciousness (Moon in Aquarius) and being happy, creative, and having fun (Sun in Leo) with some feeling lonely or isolated (Saturn). I think this is another point in the month where we feel grounded and then at the last minute life takes a dramatic unexpected turn. We're floating along content in Cancerian energy and then within hours the Sun moves into fiery Leo and immediately activates the Full Moon in the sign of the water barrier. Aquarius is about rational thinking and does care for or understand the emotions of Cancer. Leo Sun wants to be dramatically expressed, feeling tension with the transpersonal path to reason of the Aquarian Moon. This full moon is highly energized as Mars conjuncts Jupiter which assertively opens doors associated with expanding emotional connections particularly related to home and family. This is very good energy both physically and psychologically. It's very optimistic and expansive. The only caution I see for this transit is to avoid being arrogant, domineering or being excessive, as those are the negative aspects of the day. Mostly this is very positive and promotes future growth. The 23rd is 10 - Ix "eesh" or Jaguar: manifestation through enjoying nature, with the Moon in Aquarius stimulated by Uranus which brings pleasant yet restless feelings craving emotional excitement to do something outside the daily routine. July 24th is 11 - Men "men" – Eagle: resolution through seeing from a higher perspective, the Pisces Moon is opposed by Venus, merges with Neptune, and finds support from Saturn, which moves from pleasant energy for enjoying sensual experiences and rich food with a caution against overindulgence, and later we have feelings of empathy for those around us, including the possibility of clairvoyance and telepathic experiences for those of us who are sensitive by nature, along with a sober realistic view of life. The 25th is 12 - Cib "keeb" or Wisdom: understanding through introspection, meditation and forgiveness, with the Moon in Pisces finding support from Jupiter, Mars, and Mercury, and harmonizing with Pluto. The day's emotional energy begins with people having a pleasant sense of wellbeing, then having energy for asserting ourselves in a positive manner and standing our ground if necessary, later experiencing deep emotions on a profound level, and finally feeling in touch with our emotions and expressing them to others. July 26th is 13 - Caban "kah-ban" or Earth: movement to the next stage through gratitude for Mother Earth, which brings Venus opposing Neptune and sextile Saturn which is kind of a mixed bag with many possibilities, some negative and some positive. Venus in tension with Neptune can be unrealistic with regards to love which can lead to disappointment. These are planet octaves so we might find tension between our personal love and our experience of unconditional universal love. This also brings the danger of being deceived in relationships. With Saturn harmonizing with Venus we feel the obligations in our relationships. There is a sense of duty of being of service to our loved ones. This is a day to be clear about our relationships based on concrete reality rather than wishful thinking. Remember they're not perfect either and move forward with open eyes, with the Moon making no angles which is good to use for resting to assimilate this latest round of energy and experiences.

So no matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Serpent trecena, take some time to be in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment through introspection, meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time to observe the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a human experience.

July 1st to July 13th 2013

This is the "Care and feeding of a New World Age" report for Gregorian date of July 1st 2013 and 1 – Eb "eb" or Road in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, also Saturn turning direct, the Cancer New Moon, and Mars moving into Cancer.

July 1st 2013 is 1 – Eb "eb" which carries the themes of destiny, guidance, travel, vessel of time, dew from heaven, abundance, organization, caretaking, empathy, growth, service to others, the ladder that connects heaven and earth, the life-force also known as Prana in the Vedic tradition and Chi in the Chinese culture, harvest, and humility. Ian Lungold described Road as "sometimes referred to as the sign of Grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms but is also the most humble." The road of life leads us to our true destiny on the spiritual path we all must travel. This thirteen day period would be a good time to humbly offer to serve others.

I've included the Human Design transits for the trecena, along with the astrology and Tzolkin day signs. I'll quickly review some of that information before discussing the Neutrino Forecast for the current 1 - Road 13 day period. For instance at the beginning of this trecena we have the Sun in Cancer but also in the 52nd hexagram. The shapes inside the body graph are called centers and represent the next stage in our evolution as humans from having seven chakras to having nine centers. The pathways between the centers are called channels and are from the Kabala. The Sun in the 52nd hexagram is mapped to an opening in an energy channel called a gate, and which is the 52nd gate located on the upper right side of the Root center in a logical collective energy path called the "Channel of Concentration". I have found HD to be amazingly accurate and my primary tool when I provide readings. The black strips of paper in this diagram represent the gates activated by the Sun, Planets, and Nodes regardless if they form a channel. So we have the following hanging gates or potentials at the beginning of this 1 - Road trecena; the Earth in the 58, the Sun in the 52, the North node in the 1 and South Node in the 2, Mercury in the 62, Venus in the 31, Jupiter in the 15, and Neptune in the 55. Obviously not every gate activation forms a channel, but this information can be very helpful if you know your own Human Design chart, because some of these transits will form channels with potentials in your personal body graph. I'm not going to follow the moon with this demonstration, because it moves so fast that it activates three to four gates a day.

On 1 - Eb or Road we have two channels defined. Pluto in the 38 and Saturn in the 28 we have the Channel of Struggle which will be affecting us until the beginning of August.

The other channel has Mars in the 45th gate, with Uranus in the 21 and Mars in the 45, we have the 21-45 channel called the "Money Line" which is tribal so it's about resources and support of the family and those people that even if they are not blood, they are part of your tribe or extended family. During this trecena this will condition folks to gain resources through their will power, often without others to collaborate with. This will bring into focus who are the "haves" and who are the "have-nots" on the material plane. This is a time period when people will believe that they can manifest what they want through their will, which completes July 2nd when Mars moves to the 12th gate, so those folks who have not completed their will to materialism by that date will find their efforts fall flat.

Later on the 1st the Sun moves from the 52 to the 39 and the Earth moves from the 58 to the 38. The Sun in the 39 connects with Neptune in the 55 which brings the Channel of Emoting, until the 6th, which will be a time period when people feel pressure in the form of an emotional wave.

Before I get into the daily energy of the Eb trecena, I thought I'd look at the metaphysics of July 2013. July is the seventh month and with the digits for 2013, when added together we get 13, then we add 1 + 3 to tell us that this is a thirteen/four month in numerology, which brings organization, planning and effort to events and activities that began unfolding in June, so they can move to the next level of manifestation. The thirteen/four combination is represented by the Death/Emperor tarot cards which is about our releasing the unnecessary and obstacles to moving forward on our paths to ultimately empower others through our example of selfless and enlightened leadership. The theme of leadership is also being felt astrologically with Venus and the Sun moving into and through Leo. Interestingly the day Venus leaves Leo is the day the Sun enters Leo so we have planetary activations in the sign of leadership every day of this Emperor month.

In June we had the majority of the planets returning to water activating the grand trine from Mercury, Venus, the Sun, Jupiter and Mars as they move into and through Cancer connecting in a very favorable grand trine with Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces during June and July. A second grand trine, this time in earth, appears on July 29, which has been a point of interest for many because the planets form a hexagram with the water trine. This will be short lived because it involves the Moon and Venus along with Pluto, so its impact will at best last a day. The intensity peaks towards the end of July as Mars brings even more instability to the Uranus Pluto square pushing us to follow our own individual authentic paths rather than submitting to the machinery of governments and corporations.

Mars moves into Cancer on the last day of the Road trecena, July 13th, joining the Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter in the sign of the nurturer of the Zodiac with its focus on home and family, but also on using our feelings to determine if our outer world is in alignment with our inner world. This also brings an emphasis of the element of water with this stellium or group of planets in Cancer, along with Neptune in Pisces and Saturn in Scorpio, the other two water signs. As these planets move through Cancer they form a grand trine from Jupiter on the 17th and Mars on the 20th, with Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. It's interesting seeing Neptune and Saturn "play" together, but I think working on creativity will be an excellent way to merge these energies. The Pluto Uranus square is activated by the Sun for the first week of July and Mars during the last week. I think July comes in like a Lion and leaves like a Lion.

As we begin July, all the planets appear to move forward from our vantage point on Earth except Mercury, Saturn, Chiron, Neptune and Pluto which appear to move retrograde or in reverse motion. As I've said before planets don't really move in reverse in their orbits, but appear to move backward much like being in a car passing a slower moving car. There is a point where the slower moving car appears to be moving in reverse when compared to landmarks in the far distance. Mercury is retrograde until July 20th so the beginning of July would be a good time to avoid signing contracts or other legal papers, making any major purchases, or even taking a new job. If you look at the house of your astrological chart that contains 13 to 23 degrees of Cancer, you can find the theme where you will experience revisions, reviews and rethinking of the characteristics represented by that house. With Jupiter newly in Cancer, this time period may very well push us out of our comfort zone as we become aware of our new journey. By the middle of July Mercury is slowing down as it stops and turns direct at 13 degrees Cancer on the 20th. Mercury retrograde during this period, will spend 10 weeks in the sign of Cancer which will be a time of reviewing our homes and families from the perspective of security. I think it's important during the middle of July to be aware of Mercury being at the peak of its power due to its stopped motion as it changes direction, that the Greek god Hermes, who the Romans renamed to Mercury, was also the trickster god. He was the messenger of the Gods and if you weren't on his good side you might not get your message or it might be altered to mean something different than was intended. I think this quote from Joseph Campbell describing the trickster is also a great description of Mercury retrograde: "Almost all non-literate mythology has a trickster-hero of some kind. . . . And there’s a very special property in the trickster: he always breaks in, just as the unconscious does, to trip up the rational situation. He’s both a fool and someone who’s beyond the system. And the trickster represents all those possibilities of life that your mind hasn’t decided it wants to deal with. The mind structures a lifestyle, and the fool or trickster represents another whole range of possibilities. He doesn’t respect the values that you’ve set up for yourself, and smashes them. . . . The fool is the breakthrough of the absolute into the field of controlled social orders."

Saturn is retrograde until July 8th, appearing to be in reverse motion can be compared to a time period of recuperation or back tracking regarding some obstacle in the path. So during this One Road trecena Saturn is stopping and at the peak of its power. Themes of Saturn in Scorpio are loss, depression, failure, fear, the shadow, betrayal, the stuff that goes deep. Superficial just won't cut it with Saturn in Scorpio. I have seen many in relationships have to make very hard choices under Saturn in Scorpio, including folks having to amputate people from their lives to preserve their connection to something greater than themselves. Saturn entered into its retrograde shadow period on November 15, 2012 when it reached the point it will turn direct at 5 degrees Scorpio, which brought us a period of time where we received information regarding our commitments that came up for review under Saturn's retrograde period from February 18th to July 8th in 2013. This ultimately will yield a change in course regarding these themes during the period from July 8th to October 14th. After its retrograde period we can advance forward toward our goals a little more rested and with a more efficient process as long as we honor it, rather than trying to push through regardless of resistance.

Chiron retrograde in Pisces is about releasing stuck emotional energy, so that we can return to the natural flow of life. Chiron is the wounded healer in Greek mythology. He was a teacher, healer, and astrologer to the Gods. This should be transcendence and surrender with losing ourselves in the experience. The retrograde aspect brings a longing for lost loves and the memories of our losses, encouraging us to return to look at our core wounds and bring them to the surface so they can be healed. Another trap of Chiron in Pisces is codependent relationships where we focus on healing others rather than ourselves. Chiron will turn direct in November, so this time of exploring the depths of our psyche will be with us for months to come. This will be a difficult time of upheaval, destruction, death, unexpected change, natural disasters, violence and war, so finding our own peace in our connection to spirit will be an important quality to cultivate now for the tumultuous road ahead.

July 1st 2013 is 1 – Eb "eb" or Road: unity experienced through serving your community, with Venus square Saturn which can be a day of having difficulty relating to others, feeling cool, reserved, isolated... Many will be reevaluating what they are getting out of their relationships as compared to what they are putting in. If you feel loneliness or depression on the 1st, just realize that this too shall pass. Also the Sun opposing Pluto colors the day's energy which can cause rather intense encounters with others or circumstances that expose something that was hidden or that we chose to ignore, for the purpose of transforming an old worn out pattern that can no longer serve us. This indicates power struggles with others, particularly people in authority. This day really has the hallmark of relationship difficulties that could possibly lead to breakups. you may want to keep that in mind rather than trying to repair the damage of today's words or deeds later on down the road. Overall we are talking about transformation on some level as a shift is required away from doing things the same old way. The Cancer Capricorn axis will bring tension related to balancing home and family with career and responsibilities in the outer world, with the Moon in harmony with Mars and Jupiter, and challenged by Mercury. The day's energy moves from desiring to work independently from others, with people being critical in their communications particularly with the people they have intimate relationships with, to later in the day feeling in the flow and having a sense of wholeness. The 2nd is 2 - Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn: duality experienced maintaining the home, with the Taurus Moon opposed by Saturn, in harmony with Neptune and the Sun, challenged by Venus, and supported by Pluto. The day's emotional wave moves from feeling lonely and isolated while also being very sensitive to the moods of others, yet having pleasant social energy for getting to know people, later Pluto brings out intense emotions and stimulates sensitivity, which also favors sexual relationships, and finally feeling balance between our inner and outer worlds. July 3rd is 3 - Ix "eesh" or Jaguar: taking action through enjoying nature, with the Moon in Taurus in harmony with Mercury which is a day with increased communications. Lots of chatting with friends, neighbors, coworkers... This is not likely to be very profound, just being social. Try to avoid gossiping under this influence. The 4th is 4 - Men "men" – Eagle: stability through seeing from a higher perspective, with the Sun squaring Uranus continuing to activate the t-square of opposing Pluto while directing that opposition toward Uranus. This can bring sudden upsets or behavior that is upsetting to others. This is a day to expect the unexpected such as cars breaking down unexpectedly, a sudden ending of a relationship, an argument that begins "out of nowhere", or other disruptive event that could not be foreseen. When I saw this alignment on "Independence Day" in the United States, I immediately thought this will be a powerful factor in the USA solar return chart for 2013 with Uranus in a tight square to the United States natal Sun on the nation's birthday. Just like doing a solar return reading for a person, we can look at a nation's solar return chart to forecast the themes of events for that nation for the upcoming year. I used Ebenezer Sibly's chart from the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which is July 4th, 1776 Philadelphia Pennsylvania at 5:10 pm. The Sun in Cancer, is at 13 degrees 19 minutes opposing the solar return Pluto and tightly squaring Uranus... can you say chaos and darkness? But then Jupiter in Cancer is filling in the grand trine to Neptune in Pisces and Saturn in Scorpio... we have spiritual work being favored. But what I find most interesting is the tight Yod or Finger of Fate from the Solar Return Moon sextile Venus and both planets inconjunct or at a very uncomfortable 150 degrees pointing at Pluto in Capricorn. The solar return in Washington DC has 3 degrees Aries ascendant so the signs line up with the houses they rule. So what does it all mean? The Sun, Jupiter, and Mercury in the fourth house and in Cancer, bring even more focus on the security of home and family as what we're thinking about and discussing and on some level where we find our confidence. But those homes are being opposed by Pluto in Capricorn which is death and rebirth of structures that have out grown their usefulness... particularly governments, corporations, and religions. Pluto is in the 10th house so this is about the way the United States is seen in the world will go through a transformation. Saturn in the seventh is about limitation in our one to one relationships perhaps between the president and other world leaders or other individuals in the government. This is also the house of open enemies in a tight trine to Neptune in the twelfth house along with Chiron, which is about our illusions and wounding being our self undoing and having a blind spot towards our secret enemies. Uranus in Aries, as the head of the T-square from the opposition of the Sun and Pluto, is in the first house, which brings unexpected change and revolution to the identity of the people living in the United States. But what I'm most taken with is the finger of fate pointing directly at Pluto at 10 degrees from the Gemini Moon at 9 degrees and Venus in Leo also at 9 degrees. Given how fast the Moon moves I think this is significant at the exact moment the Sun returns to the point when the USA was born. With Pluto in Capricorn in the tenth, I think that the United States government and people are going to experience a major transformation as to how they are seen around the globe. Also on the 4th the Gemini Moon challenged by Neptune and in harmony with Venus, which has the emotional energy moving from daydreams and fantasies feeling more important than reality, to later having pleasant energy to be with friends and loved ones. July 5th is 5 - Cib "keeb" or Wisdom: empowerment through introspection, meditation and forgiveness, with the Moon in Gemini in harmony with Uranus, which is pleasant yet restless energy that desires emotional excitement. People may enter our lives at this time to shake things up where we've become lethargic. The 6th is 6 - Caban "kah-ban" or Earth: being in the flow through gratitude for Mother Earth, with the Moon conjunct Mars and Jupiter. Emotionally the day moves from irritable feelings and critical communications, to good feelings and generosity towards others. These two planetary influences on the moon can bring a surge of activities with Mars increasing the pace, and Jupiter opening the floodgates of beliefs and feelings working as one. I think we'll be more aware of peoples passions during the 6th. July 7th is 7 - Etznab "etz-nob" or Flint: reflection through being introspective, as Venus trines Uranus which is a great day to try something out of the ordinary. The daily routine will just not cut it under this influence. Folks are looking to do something stimulating in their social lives and relationships. A day when there may be unique encounters and love relationships that begin under this influence are exciting, electric, unstable and short, but have a strong potential to change our lives. This could also bring unconventional agreements in our relationship  such as agreeing to change from a exclusive coupling to experimenting with having other lovers. Experiencing different types of entertainment is also favored by this transit, by enjoying music, art, or theater that is outside your normal choices, with the Moon in Cancer trine Saturn and Neptune, opposite Pluto and square Uranus. The day moves from a more sober and realistic view of life with our innermost subconscious fantasies and daydreams confusing the process, which may not be great for accomplishing much work, while we settle into a more sober and realistic view of life, and later this shifts to feeling deep emotions rising to the surface, and finally people are likely to act hasty and jump to conclusions. The 8th is 8 - Cauac "cow-ack" or Storm: balance through recognizing the gifts in adversity, as Saturn turns direct which will take a while to pick up speed but this begins a time period where we can implement a course correction regarding an obstacle that has been in our path over the last few months. Also on the 8th we have the Cancer New Moon. New moons are times of new beginnings and in Cancer is about shifting and changing of our families and home life to bring more security. New Moons bring the opportunity to set an intension for manifestation on the following full moon. Look to the house of your astrology chart that contains 16 degrees Cancer to consider what area of your life is being activated by this new moon. For me that would be my first house of self, the body, style, dispositions, mannerisms, and outward behavior, so I would set an intension related to using this energy. With Jupiter transiting Cancer for the next year, these themes will get an extra boost. The moon merges with the Sun and retrograde Mercury which is positive for integrating our thoughts and moods. With Saturn turning direct during this new moon, we may have a sense that our new beginning is somehow fated or predetermined. Overall this brings the feeling that something big is being born. This may also amplify the need for security. These new situations will assist us in aligning with our emotional connections. July 9th is 9 - Ahau "ah-how" or Sun: patience experienced through honoring the wisdom and memory of our ancestors, as the Sun merges with retrograde Mercury, which prior to turning retrograde Mercury appears to be way out in front of the Sun, then retrogrades back to conjoin the Sun, and then falls behind the Sun. Prior to mechanized warfare Generals would send their cavalry ahead of the infantry to scout out the enemy's location, find possible resources, as well as the lay of the terrain to move the troops with maximum efficiency, safety and to their strategic advantage. I like to think of Mercury when it is stretching out in front of the Sun as gathering intelligence to report back to our consciousness' during its conjunction to the Sun. Using these two markers connected with a rubber band, I am hoping to illustrate this pattern. When Mercury, represented by the black marker, is in front of the Sun, represented by the red marker, it becomes easier to be overwhelmed by the increase in new information that seems to have no place to be deposited. This can increase our anxiety and the sense of losing control. As Mercury retrogrades the tension decreases until it merges with the Sun, which occurs on July 9th, finding the destination for the intelligence it has gathered. Once behind the Sun, Mercury feels as though it is creating drag that retards the possibility of implementing the new data until it regains forward motion in its pursuit of the Sun on July 20th. With all the Cancer energy from the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter, we are expanding our emotional awareness to move in new directions regarding the security of home and family, as the Leo Moon is challenged by Saturn which may bring a few hours of feeling lonely and out of touch with others. The 10th is 10 - Imix "e-meesh" or Crocodile: manifestation through nurturing new beginnings, with the Moon in Leo finding support from Uranus and merging with Venus. The day's emotional energy moves from craving emotional excitement and doing something outside the daily routine, to later feeling cheerful, warm, gregarious, and wanting to go out and socialize. July 11th is 11 - Ik "eek" or Wind: resolution through communication, with the Leo Moon in harmony with Mars which brings a few hours of people wanting to work independently and may express themselves with courage. The 12th is 12 - Akbal "awk-bol" or Night: understanding through contemplating the stars, with the Virgo Moon in harmony with Jupiter and Saturn, opposed by Neptune, and supported by Pluto. Early in the day we want to be with old friends and have congenial interactions, but later has us wanting to be alone in our thoughts and feelings, while feeling sensitive emotionally but confused regarding the accuracy of what's being felt, and finally feeling on a deeper more intense level under the influence of Pluto. July 13th is 13 - Kan "con" or Seed: movement to the next stage through planting seeds and making new connections, as Mars moves into Cancer which adds another planet to the sign of the nurturer. Mars brings power and strength that is subtle like water running down hill, it may not seem to be doing much but over time it can carve out the land to form a great canyon or otherwise completely change the landscape, with the Moon in Virgo stimulated by Mercury and the Sun. The day begins with communications and social exchanges picking up related to common interests, and later shifts to feelings of inner and outer equanimity.

So no matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Road trecena, take some time to be in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment through introspection, meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time to observe the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a human experience.
