This is the "Care and feeding
of a New World Age" report for Gregorian date of February 18th 2016 and 1
– Ix "eesh" or Jaguar in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, with the Sun entering Pisces, and the Virgo Full Moon.
February 18th is 1
– Ix "eesh" or Jaguar with the
themes of shamanism, earth magic, strength and
intellect, spirit of the jungles, gratitude, speed and stealth, Mother Nature,
feminine and feline energy, mysticism, and expansion of consciousness. The
Jaguar represents the primal spiritual force that inhabits all of us. To the
Maya the Jaguar’s spotted coat represents the Milky Way Galaxy. The Maya also
refer to the Milky Way the "White Boned Serpent: Wakan Chan," and the
"path in the sky to the center of the universe: Kuxan Suum." This 13
day cycle is about exposing our dark spots to the light and being transformed.
This is a time to release fear so we can be in our intuition and also to turn
our attention and actions to taking care of our planet and our bodies.
Since we begin a new Gregorian month during
this trecena, I thought I'd discuss the metaphysics of the upcoming month. March is the third month and with the digits for 2016, when
added together we get 12, then we add 1 + 2 to tell us that this is an twelve/three
month in numerology.
Basic numerology reduces numbers to one through nine, so when we think about
that arc the 3 represents a time which brings
creativity and a chance to let go of some of the intensity of the past two
months. The twelve/three combination is represented by the Hanged Man/Empress
tarot cards which is about our willingness to turn ourselves upside down to see
from a new perspective through nurturing others and ourselves. Alan Cohen
expressed the energy of the hanged man in "The world would have you agree
with its dismal dream of limitation. But the light would have you soar like the
eagle of your sacred visions." The Empress could be described from this
quote from "The Road Less Traveled" by Scott Peck, "Love is the
will to extend one's self for the purpose of nurturing one's own or another's
spiritual growth." So March is a month to change our perspective to find
freedom from limitation, through nurturing ourselves and others and expressing
our creativity, love, happiness, and optimism.
Before I get into the daily energy for 1 – Ix
"eesh" or Jaguar,
on the 18th all the planets appear to be moving forward from our vantage point
on Earth, except Jupiter which appears to move
retrograde or in reverse motion. Remember the themes of retrograde planets are
the review the past, re-evaluate, reminisce and we can see these themes being
played out. Jupiter was the king of the gods,
and the planet is about good fortune, opportunities, faith, religion, beliefs
and expansion. Jupiter is in Virgo and Virgo is about organization, health, and
service. Mostly what I find with Jupiter retrograde, as with any retrograde
cycle there is a review of the past, and with Jupiter what gets reviewed are
missed opportunities.
Ok let's look at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena.
February 18th 2016 is
1 – Ix "eesh" or Jaguar: unity experienced through enjoying nature in
the Mayan Tzolkin calendar. The Cancer Moon finds support from
Neptune, is opposed by Pluto and challenged by Uranus which shifts from our innermost subconscious fantasies and
daydreams confusing reality, which may not be great for accomplishing much work, to later brings
deep emotions rising to the surface, and finally folks acting hasty and jumping to conclusions
that may not be correct.
The
19th is
2 – Men "men" or Eagle: duality experienced through seeing from a
higher perspective, with the Sun enters into Pisces which
begins a month of illuminating the intuitive unseen realms inspiring spiritual
and psychic experiences but also brings the fog of illusion. This shift has the
potential to melt the obstacles to merging with something greater than
ourselves. Also on the 19th the Moon in Cancer harmonizes with Jupiter and
finds support from Mars which moves from feeling in the flow and having a sense of wholeness, to
later feeling a little more
confident than usual with the ability to assert ourselves in a positive manner.
February 20th is 3 – Cib "keeb" or Wisdom: taking
action through introspection, meditation and forgiveness, with the Leo Moon
opposing Venus and Mercury which shifts from pleasant energy for enjoying sensual experiences and rich food
with a caution against overindulgence, to later some feeling a real conflict between feelings and reason and
others having fruitful expressions of their deeper awareness either internally
or with another.
The 21st is 4 – Caban "kah-ban" or Earth:
stability through gratitude for Mother Earth, with the Moon in Leo supported by
Saturn and Uranus, and challenged by Mars which begins with having a sober realistic view of life, followed by having the impulse to engage in activities that
make us feel more alive,
and finally people feeling irritable
which could lead to needless disputes.
February
22nd is 5 – Etznab "etz-nob" or Flint: empowerment
through being introspective, with the Virgo Full Moon, with the moon
at 3 degrees 34 minutes Virgo,
when its opposed by the Sun, and to Native Americans this is the Full Snow Moon
or the Full Hunger Moon, due to the harsh weather conditions making hunting
difficult. This Virgo Full Moon is about
finding balance between our surrender to spirit (Sun in Pisces) to be
balanced with the practical and emotional aspects of living in the physical
world (Moon in Virgo). Jupiter conjunct the Lunar North Node
during this lunation, emphasizes expansion from releasing something from the
past. This Full Moon has karma written all over it, and in Virgo is about
health, work and service and discernment, organization, and discrimination.
The 23rd is 6 – Cauac
"cow-ack" or Storm: being in the flow through recognizing the gifts
in adversity, while Jupiter opposes Chiron influences us to expand by pushing
the boundaries (Jupiter) in order to release the past and heal (Chiron). This
will be felt during the entire Jaguar trecena. Also on the 23rd the
Virgo Moon is opposed by Neptune, challenged by Saturn, supported by Pluto, and
merges with Jupiter, which begins with feeling sensitive emotionally but confused regarding the accuracy
of what's being felt, followed by people
feeling lonely or isolated, then later Pluto bringing out intense emotions and stimulating sensitivity,
which also favors sexual relationships, and finally people having good feelings
and generosity towards others.
February 24th is 7 – Ahau "ah-how"
or Sun: reflection through honoring the wisdom and memory of our
ancestors, with the Moon in Virgo stimulated by Mars which brings the desire to work independently
from others.
The 25th is 8 Imix "e-meesh" or Crocodile: balance
through nurturing new beginnings, with Mercury sextile
Saturn which is great for constructive criticism that comes from being
able to see what can be improved in our surrounding environment. We are very
conscious of flaws, including our own, so we can use our critical eye to what
should be changed to bring improvement. This can be very serious in its pursuit
of betterment, make sure your honoring what is positive, so not to get
overwhelmed by the many imperfections that are in view with this transit. Older
people may serve as teachers and mentors at this time. This is nice energy for
working carefully on any mental task from a place of concentration and
precision, whereas activities that require a great scope of vision may be more
difficult. This is about the details, rather than the overall pattern.
Difficulty seeing the forest for the trees. With
focus and concentration from Saturn influencing our minds and communication,
Mercury, this transit favors business dealings with practicality and stability. Also on the 25th the Libra Moon supported by Venus which influence folks by
enjoying pleasant feelings and social interactions.
February 26th is 9 – Ik
"eek" or Wind: patience experienced through communication, while Mercury sextiles Uranus, which
brings new discoveries and new people into our
lives with an overall sense of excitement and
innovation as Mercury interacts with its higher octave planet Uranus.
Flexibility is helpful to experience this transit with its excitement and
interest, if you find this disruptive you may want to examine your attitude
regarding deviating from the preordained plan of the day. This is good for
looking at old problems that have troubled you in the past with fresh eyes.
Challenges may be approached as new puzzles to solve as thinking becomes more
inspired. Not a day where you will be content to follow your usual routine, so
leave some room for spontaneity with new ideas and experiences being the reward
of going with the flow. Also on the 26th the Moon in Libra harmonizes with Saturn,
challenged by Pluto, supported by Mercury, and opposed by Uranus, which shifts
from realistic expectations
through being calm and reflective, to later having the compulsion to act in ways that may
not be good for us in the long run, followed by feeling in touch with our emotions and
expressing them to others, and finally folks
are emotionally excitable and impulsive.
The 27th is 10 – Akbal "awk-bol" or Night: manifestation
through contemplating the stars, while the Moon in Libra makes no angles and is void of course until
moving into Scorpio, which does not favor major decisions or purchases, but is
good to use for resting to assimilate this latest round of energy and
experiences.
February 28th is 11 – Kan
"con" or Seed or Lizard: resolution through planting seeds and making
new connections, with the Sun conjunct Neptune
is about expanded
consciousness, awareness of unseen energies, intuition, and greater sensitivity
are themes for the next month, with the Sun transiting the sign of mysticism.
When the Sun merges with Neptune, there are two distinct sides of this transit,
but being Neptune, it will be difficult to grasp which one we are experiencing.
The first is that our awareness gets stimulated, which often brings difficulty
thinking rationally. It brings a heightened sensitivity and people will feel
like they know each other more intuitively. Which increases our compassion.
It's as if our separateness dissolves and we become them somehow. Which reminds
me of the Mayan saying "In Lak’ech" which means "I am another
you". Overall this energy is great for helping people. It also favors an
interest in the occult or spiritual activities in hopes of understanding the
deeper truths hidden behind the veil of the mundane world. The down side of
this transit is all that sensitivity may lead folks to feel psychologically
exhausted, wanting to avoid interactions in our daily world and instead engage
our private inner world, with the possibility of daydreaming on one end of the
spectrum to avoiding reality through alcohol and/or drug usage. Our bodies are
more sensitive during this transit so the effects of substances may be more
difficult to control. Meditation and quiet contemplation would be better
channels for this energetic. Also on the 28th the
Scorpio Moon finds support from the
Sun and Neptune, is challenged by Venus, and harmonizes with Pluto and Jupiter,
which begins with feeling a sense of inner harmony which is mirrored in the
outside world, followed by fantasies and daydreams distracting us from
accomplishing routine tasks, then pleasant energy for being with the others we
want to know better, later feeling in the flow and having a sense of wholeness,
and finally experiencing deep emotions on a profound level.
The 29th is 12 – Chicchan
"chee-chan" or Serpent: understanding through being flexible, while Venus sextiles Saturn, which pleasantly encourages us to look at our responsibilities in
our relationships in a positive way, as there is a sense of gratification in being
of service to our loved ones. What's good for the group is more important today
and people work to further those ideals even if it means some level of self
denial. This is a good time to talk with a loved one about your expectations
from each other. This is practical energy which favors business affairs and
commerce, particularly with art or other things of beauty. This is also good
for creativity that demands close attention to details. Also on
the 29th the Moon in Scorpio is challenged by Mercury and merges with Mars,
which shifts from folks being critical in
their communications particularly with the people they have intimate
relationships with, to later experiencing irritable
moods and critical communications.
March
1st is 13 – Cimi
"key-mee" or Transformation: movement to the next stage through
releasing what no longer serves us, with the last quarter Sagittarius Moon
challenged by Neptune and the Sun which moves from daydreams and fantasies feeling more important
than reality,
to later bringing challenges to
following a daily routine.
So no matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Jaguar trecena, take some time to be in the flow of the planet by
being in nature, watching a sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious
of the moment through introspection, meditation or being with someone you love.
Every day is a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all
giving the performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time
to observe the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual
being having a human experience.
