Astrology and Mayan Tzolkin for March 2nd to March 14th 2016

This is the "Care and feeding of a New World Age" report for Gregorian date of March 2nd 2016 and 1 – Manik "man-eek" or Deer in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, with Mercury entering Pisces, Mars entering Sagittarius, the Pisces New Moon and solar eclipse, and Venus entering Pisces.

March 2nd is 1 – Manik "man-eek" or Deer with the themes of service, healing, protection and sacrifice, intuitive and instinctual knowledge, the four directions, shamanic energy, ritual dance, dignity, respect, and breaking free of limitations. The ritual Deer Dance symbolizes the sanctity and balance between people and nature. The energy of Deer is to rise up above the limitations of living a life only on the physical plane. This is a time to connect with spirituality though ceremony, dance, ritual and being in nature. It is also a time to find the strength to break free of anything limiting spiritual growth and healing.

Before I get into the daily energy for 1 – Manik "man-eek" or Deer, on the 2nd all the planets appear to be moving forward from our vantage point on Earth, except Jupiter which appear to move retrograde or in reverse motion. Remember the themes of retrograde planets are the review the past, re-evaluate, reminisce and we can see these themes being played out. Jupiter was the king of the gods, and the planet is about good fortune, opportunities, faith, religion, beliefs and expansion. Jupiter is in Virgo and Virgo is about organization, health, and service. Mostly what I find with Jupiter retrograde, as with any retrograde cycle there is a review of the past, and with Jupiter what gets reviewed are missed opportunities.

Ok let's look at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena.
March 2nd 2016 is 1 – Manik "man-eek" or Deer: unity experienced through being of service to others in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar. On the 2nd, Venus sextiles Uranus, which for a day people will seek excitement outside of our daily routines, stimulates new interactions with people who can fascinate us, but be aware romances begun under this transit may not be long lasting even though at this time they seem pleasantly electrifying. Great energy for a fling with friends or a party. Folks will be more freedom seeking in their relationships, during this transit that does not favor being clingy, possessive, or jealous. Allow loved ones more leeway and flexibility, and this could greatly broaden your understanding of partners and friends, and in doing so new insights into yourself. Also on the 2nd the Sagittarius Moon merges with Saturn, harmonizes with Venus and Mercury, finds support from Uranus, and is challenged by Jupiter. The days emotional stimulus begins with wanting to be alone in our thoughts and feelings, followed by wanting to be with friends and the people we love, then brings a desire for emotional excitement to engage in activities outside our daily routine, later brings benevolent and generous feelings for those in our immediate environment, and finally wraps up with lots of chatting with friends, neighbors, coworkers.

The 3rd is 2 – Lamat "la-maught" or Star or Rabbit: duality experienced through being grateful for abundant relationships, while the Capricorn Moon harmonizing with Neptune bring greater sensitivity to others' emotions with possible psychic impressions for those who are open.

March 4th is 3 – Muluc "moo-luke" or Offering: taking action through appreciating creation, while the Moon in Capricorn harmonizes with the Sun, merge with Pluto, is challenged by Uranus, and supported by Jupiter with the emotional energy shifting from feeling balance between our inner and outer worlds, to having more intense moods rising to the surface from deep in our psyches, later folks are acting hasty and jumping to conclusions that may not be correct, and finally people having feelings of inner and outer equanimity.

The 5th is 4 Oc "awk" or Dog: stability through enjoying family and friends, while Mercury enters Pisces which brings our minds and communications into the realm of psychic revelations. While in Pisces it brings a time period with strong spiritual undercurrents and otherworldly realizations, but also great confusion. Also on the 5th, Mars enters Sagittarius which brings energy for long distance travel and studying subjects that inspire our "higher minds". Folks may feel a stronger sense of patriotism. Due to turning retrograde April 17th, Mars will spend almost 3 months in the sign of the happy wanderer before returning to Scorpio. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, so Mars is likely to take action around the themes of law, religion, philosophy, and higher education. With more energy for people who are inclined to do so, acting self-righteous, possible to the point of believing "might is right." Also on the 5th, Mercury squares Mars, has people feeling touchy and irritable, with almost any communication interpreted as a challenge. Hard to imagine that someone doesn't get set off by the implied attitude of this transit. People will feel the drive to defend their ideas, from a simple debate to and all out fight. This time it would be important to realize beliefs and thoughts can change and to not indentify our ego with them. This transit that indicates the potential to be involved in accidents. This particularly likely for someone who trying to suppress their anger. Also on the 5th the Moon in Capricorn stimulated by Mars brings the desire to work independently from others.

March 6th is 5 Chuen "shoe-in" or Monkey: empowerment through creating something new, while the Sun squares Saturn which has people feeling unlucky and brings up issues that were difficult to handle but the effect doesn't last more than a few days. It really brings up two questions. What do you owe others? and what do you owe yourself? This is a conflict between self gratification and duty to others. This tension between two poles may seem limiting and depressing, as we want to break out of this rut, but find that the restrictions are holding us back from being ourselves. Folks will not want to go to work or school or interact with people they prefer not associate with. This can bring resentments, as obstacles interfere with our wishes to do what we want. Under this influence people make assumptions without checking the facts, which is not favorable for relationships with authority figures. The best use of this transit is to channel the energy into self discipline. Often others are not holding us back, but we are projecting our internal restraint outwards onto people in our immediate environment. This is a low physical and psychological energy transit, so you may feel the weight of the world is to heavy. It may also bring up questions that we have been avoiding answering and negative thoughts. This transit shows our vulnerabilities and weaknesses, and gives us an idea about what we can work on to gain greater confidence. Also on the 6th, the Sun sextiles Pluto which empowers us to make changes in our immediate environment and reform the aspects of our lives that have brought us unhappiness over time. Embrace the opportunities that can be used for the improvement of the general good. This is good energy for cleaning up a situation that has become confused or disordered, such as getting clear on a difficult personal situation or even cleaning house. This also brings us deeper into our thoughts with a feeling that superficial aspects are no longer adequate. Investigations should be thorough, leaving no stone unturned. Subjects such as psychology, occult, yoga, and other transformative techniques are favored for study under this influence. Also on the 6th the Aquarius Moon harmonizes with Saturn and Uranus which moves from having realistic expectations through being calm and reflective, to later pleasant yet restless feelings craving emotional excitement to do something outside the daily routine.

The 7th is 6 – Eb "eb" or Road: being in the flow through serving your community, as the Moon merges with Venus and Mercury, and is challenged by Mars, which shifts from feeling cheerful, warm, gregarious, and wanting to go out and socialize, to later people feeling irritable which could lead to needless disputes, and finally having positive energy for integrating our thoughts and moods.

March 8th is 7 Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn: reflection through maintaining the home, while we have the Pisces New Moon at 18 degrees 56 minutes, merging with Neptune, the Sun and Chiron, challenged by Saturn, in harmony with Pluto, and opposed by Jupiter, in a total solar eclipse. This new moon represents new beginnings related to Jupiter, the traditional ruler of Pisces, in a opposition to this lunation, bringing feelings of generosity, and Neptune, the modern ruler of Pisces, merging with the Moon, bringing feelings of empathy for those around us, including the possibility of clairvoyance and telepathic experiences for those of us who are sensitive by nature. Squared by Saturn influences people to feeling lonely or isolated, sextile Pluto has deep emotions finding their way to the surface and felt on a profound level, and conjunct Chiron illuminating our wounds so they can be released and healed. Healing is not always a pleasant experience, but its less painful than not healing. This is also the first eclipse of 2016. Eclipses are particularly powerful where they can be viewed which will be mostly over the Pacific Ocean and in parts of Indonesia. There is something primordial about eclipses that even with modern knowledge of the event, they still stir some deep animal uncertainty within. New Moons bring the opportunity to set an intension for manifestation on the following full moon. Look to the house of your astrology chart that contains 18 degrees 56 minutes of Pisces to consider what area of your life is being activated by this new moon. For me that would be my tenth house of career and public standing, so I would set an intension related to using this energy. This New Moon is particularly potent for making big changes through taking a leap of faith leading us deeper into 2016 as we are moving through the numerological three month. Certainly releasing outdated limitations, to reveal a greater awareness of our authentic true self, our new direction and purpose. Also on the 8th, the Sun opposes Jupiter which has a double potential that we see with oppositions. This is another day of feeling good, cheerful and optimistic. The feeling that nothing can go wrong today has its good points and its bad points. The best way find success with this transit is to not go overboard in any area, of course this is exactly what can happen at this time. This can also build our self confidence, giving us the courage to do something we've never done before. It's another Jupiter alignment where we need to avoid being arrogant. Any negativity that is being expressed also expands and can turn into conflicts with others. It's important to know your listener, if offering constructive criticism, to avoid offering more than can be heard. Authority figures may interpret informing as over stepping some sort of boundary or even self righteousness. As with an opposition, like a full moon, this is a time when something that was planted back in August is coming to fruition. Basically at this time don't over extend yourself or make commitments you can't keep.

The 9th is 8 Ix "eesh" or Jaguar: balance through enjoying nature, while the Aries Moon finds support from Mars which brings the energy for asserting ourselves in a positive manner and standing our ground if necessary.

March 10th is 9 – Men "men" or Eagle: patience experienced through seeing from a higher perspective, while the Moon in Aries is supported by Saturn, challenged by Pluto, and merges with Uranus which shifts from having a sober realistic view of life, followed by having the compulsion to act in ways that may not be good for us in the long run, and finally people feeling impulsive and acting rashly, with moods changing quickly and unexpectedly.

The 11th is 10 – Cib "keeb" or Wisdom: manifestation through introspection, meditation and forgiveness, with Mercury conjunct Neptune has two different possibilities, the positive is to be able to express ideas and feelings that are very subtle and not usually available to our conscious minds, which is wonderful for artistic expression and inspired exploration of mystical subjects. The negative aspect would be that imaginations go overboard into illusions and delusions. It may bring confused thinking and communications, with a temptation toward dishonesty, so it might be a time to avoid legal agreements, business dealings, and contacts due to the lack of clarity and the possibility of being misled or deceived. Also on the 11th, the Sun conjunct Chiron which illuminates our old wounds making release and healing possible. Also on the 11th, the Moon in Aries harmonizes with Venus, which brings pleasant energy to be with friends and loved ones.

March 12th is 11 – Caban "kah-ban" or Earth: resolution through gratitude for Mother Earth, while the Taurus Moon in harmony with Neptune and Mercury, and supported by Pluto and Jupiter, which moves from being very sensitive to the moods of others, followed by people feeling chatty and having numerous conversations, then later with Pluto bringing out intense emotions and stimulating sensitivity, which also favors sexual relationships, and finally Jupiter has people experience having a pleasant sense of well-being.

The 13th is 12 – Etznab "etz-nob" or Flint: understanding through being introspective, while Venus enters Pisces which brings more awareness to the intuitive unseen realms inspiring spiritual and psychic experiences, but also brings the fog of illusion regarding love, romance, socializing and money.  Also on the 13th, the Moon in harmony with the Sun, challenged by Venus, and opposed by Mars, which shifts from having feelings of inner and outer equanimity, followed by having pleasant energy to be with friends and loved ones, and finally opposed by Mars which influences people to be more excitable and irritable which can cause problems in our personal lives.

March 14th is 13 – Cauac "cow-ack" or Storm: movement to the next stage through recognizing the gifts in adversity, while Mercury square Saturn which favors heavy mental contemplating that requires disciplined thinking, a sharper mind and higher standard for quality. But it also brings difficulty in communicating and being understood by others. Not the best time for any type of negotiations, with folks misinterpreting each other, so I'd delay business dealings for a day or two. This is also a time when people are more likely to withdraw and feel lonely. The gift of this passage is it increases our ability to think practically, but we also see the imperfections and flaws. Overall the 14th will bring us new understandings and conscious awareness. Also on the 14th, Venus square Mars which tends to arouse interest in the opposite sex that is physical and perhaps sexual in nature, but this energy can also lead to discord if there are hidden tensions in a relationship. Healthy relationships should not have difficulties during this transit, whose function is to test the pairing. It's basically about on one side engaging in what's pleasurable for you and your partner and on the other side where are the tensions that lead to disputes that comes from unexpressed sexuality. The amount of love energy will determine which way the dice will fall. This creates difficulty for couples trying to keep interactions nice and easy, while not expressing the drives that Mars is known for. Relationships begun under this transit tend to be based only on physical attraction. Also on the 14th, the Gemini Moon challenged by Neptune, Mercury, and Jupiter, and opposed by Saturn, which changes from daydreams and fantasies feeling more important than reality, to later feeling lonely and isolated, followed by our moods influencing our ability to think rationally, and finally having benevolent and generous feelings for those in our immediate environment.

So no matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Deer trecena, take some time to be in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment through introspection, meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time to observe the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a human experience.
