Astrology and Mayan Tzolkin for September 2nd to September 14th 2015

This is the "Care and feeding of a New World Age" report for Gregorian date of September 2nd 2015 for 1 - Chicchan "chee-chan" or Serpent in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, with Venus turning direct and the Virgo New Moon and solar eclipse

September 2nd 2015 is 1 - Chicchan "chee-chan" or Serpent carries the themes of unity, flexibility, fluidity, movement, creation of time, kundalini, bringer of rain, the sky serpents, blood lightning, passion, the life force that flows through everything, the energy connecting our primal root electricity to our spiritual expression and the transcendence of duality, "Samadhi". Serpents are important in many different cultures from kundalini of the Hindi chakra system and blood lightning in the Mayan tradition to the Greek serpent eating it own tail, represents life, death and rebirth. Often associated with Gnosticism, it represents eternity. In China the snake is replaced with Dragon eating its own tail. In Aboriginal Australia the Rainbow Serpent is the guardian of life, fertility, water and other precious resources. And of course the Mayan god Quetzalcoatl, is the feathered or plumed serpent, the god of wind, the giver of breath and also the creator deity, when he descended into the land of the dead to gather up precious bones which he sprinkled with his own blood to create humans. This thirteen day period is an important time to connect with spirit, to have faith in your journey, experience gratitude in the moment, and let love guide your actions.

Before I get into the daily energy for 1Chicchan "chee-chan" or Serpent, on the 2nd all the planets appear to be moving forward from our vantage point on Earth, except Venus, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto which appears to move retrograde or in reverse motion. Remember the themes of retrograde planets are the review the past, re-evaluate, reminisce and we can see these themes being played out. Venus retrograde reviews not only our social and romantic relationships, but also what we value, so this is a period where people with assess what they are attracted to including possessions and wealth. Venus began its retrograde in Virgo which brought the planet of esthetics, romance, and money to remain in the sign of the Virgin for two weeks, and then backed into Leo on July 31st. Venus is retrograde will be the time when we will notice events related to our relationships and/or money that shifts our thinking to prepare us for the change we will implement after Venus is direct. Often we reconnect with old friends and lovers, and repair ailing relationship during Venus retrograde. Chiron retrograde in Pisces is about releasing stuck emotional energy, so that we can return to the natural flow of life. Retrograde Chiron has us reviewing our wounds so that they can be released, by having the courage to open our hearts to any fear or pain associated with our past. When Chiron is in Pisces people are willing to sacrifice their individual pain in hopes of finding bliss in Universal consciousness. At its worst this can manifest as folks justifying their victimhood as some form of martyrdom. This should be transcendence and surrender without losing ourselves in the experience. Uranus in Aries retrograde until December 26th. Uranus seeks to shake our very foundation through the unexpected rebellion of the individual. Retrograde Uranus in Aries will have people wanting to hurry the process of getting free. To push the river of revolution whether it be personal or political. Neptune retrograde is seeking transcendence through spiritual experiences. This will be a time to use spiritual practices to keep us grounded as we expand our intuition and consciousness. Both Neptune and Pisces, the sign it rules, tend to be dreamy, imaginative, difficult to nail down due to their qualities of illusion and illumination often without any way to know which is which. They represent compassion and co-dependence, selflessness and loss of self, higher purpose and substance abuse, in their inspiration to transcend the material plane and experience something beyond words and thoughts. When Pluto, the planet of transformation through a death and rebirth cycle, is retrograde, which is about reviewing the past, and releasing anything from the past that is a burden to our new path. Pluto in Capricorn is determined in exposing the darkness, destroying the old order, so that we can rise up like the Phoenix from the ashes to soar again. Capricorn is about large structures which includes banks, governments, corporations, and religions. Pluto is in Capricorn until 2023 where it is destroying and regenerating the structures that are the foundation of our societies represented by Capricorn. This is a time of a cosmic course correction for the entire planet. We cannot continue to harm Mother Earth for the economic gain of a few. It is the resistance to Pluto's lesson of letting go of the past, that brings tragedy and pain.
Ok let's look at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena.
September 2nd and 1 Chicchan "chee-chan" or Serpent: unity experienced through being flexible in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, with the Taurus Moon finding support from Jupiter and the Sun, and harmonizing with Neptune, which shifts from people having a pleasant sense of wellbeing, to later having greater sensitivity to others' emotions with possible psychic impressions for those who are open, and finally having a sense of harmony within ourselves and supports any type of group activity and relationships with the opposite sex.

The 3rd is 2 – Cimi "key-mee" or Transformation: duality experienced through releasing what no longer serves us, with the Moon in Taurus supported by Pluto, and challenged by Venus and Mars, which begins with feeling on a deeper more intense level under the influence of Pluto, followed by pleasant energy for being with the others we want to know better, and finally people feeling irritable which could lead to needless disputes.

September 4th is 3 – Manik "man-eek" or Deer: taking action through being of service to others, while the Moon is opposed by Saturn, and challenged by Jupiter and Neptune, which moves from feeling lonely and isolated, to later having benevolent and generous feelings for those in our immediate environment, and finally fantasies and daydreams distracting us from accomplishing routine tasks.

The 5th is 4 - Lamat "la-maught" or Star or Rabbit: stability through being grateful for abundant relationships, with the last quarter Moon in Gemini supported by Mercury, challenged by the Sun, and stimulated by Venus, Mars, and Uranus. Which brings a busy day of emotional stimulus that begins with being more in touch with our feelings and able to share them with others, followed by encountering challenges to our daily routines, then wanting to be with friends and the people we love, and later feeling a little more confident than usual with the ability to assert ourselves in a positive manner, and finally having pleasant yet restless energy that desires emotional excitement.

September 6th is 5 - Muluc "moo-luke" or Offering: empowerment through appreciating creation, with Venus turning direct as Venus appears to be stopped at the opening of the month prior to appearing to turning direct or in forward motion from the perspective of the Earth on the 6th. Venus retrograde reviewed not only our social and romantic relationships, but also what we value, so this is a period where people assessed what they are attracted to including possessions and wealth. When a planet is stopped it is said to be at the peak of its power. Often we reconnect with old friends and lovers, and repair ailing relationship during Venus retrograde. Venus will take a few days to build momentum in moving direct after the 6th, between the then and October 10th we have an opportunity to implement a course correction based on what we learned during the time Venus was retrograde. Also on the 6th the Sun trines Pluto which brings very intense and powerful experiences which may illuminate our deepest psychology and darkest normally unseen mental realms. This is great transformational energy for investigation into what parts of our lives should be reformed. This transit illuminates our motives and is great for studying our inner workings. People are more likely to express themselves more forcefully which can make an impact on someone, but be careful of folks who use this energy for ruthless or selfish purposes. The best use of this energy is for your own personal growth and evolution. Also on the 6th the Moon in Gemini makes no angles and is void of course until moving into Cancer, which does not favor major decisions or purchases, but is good to use for resting to assimilate this latest round of energy and experiences.

The 7th is 6 – Oc "awk" or Dog: being in the flow through enjoying family and friends, while the Moon in Cancer makes no angles which favors relaxation at home with friends and family.

September 8th is 7 Chuen "shoe-in" or Monkey: reflection through creating something new, with the Cancer Moon in harmony with Jupiter and the Sun, supported by Neptune, challenged by Mercury, and opposed by Pluto. Which brings a busy day of emotional stimulus that begins with feeling in the flow and having a sense of wholeness, followed by fantasies and daydreams distracting us from accomplishing routine tasks, then our moods influencing our ability to think rationally, later bringing deep emotions rising to the surface, and finally feeling balance between our inner and outer worlds.

The 9th is 8 - Eb "eb" or Road : balance through serving your community, while Mars trines Uranus, which brings new activities and encounters, some occurring quite unexpectedly, that are exciting and have the potential for personal growth. People will want to break out of the daily routine, with personal inhibitions reduced, expect folks to engage in activities that they desired, yet didn't have the courage for before. Risk taking under this influence will give a greater sense of being alive, but also may have unexpected unpleasant consequences if things don't work out just right. This can be used to break down barriers in our lives without having to impulsively destroy everything we see as a restriction. Also on the 9th the Moon in Cancer is challenged by Uranus and finds support from Saturn which changes from folks acting hasty and jumping to conclusions that may not be correct, to later settling into a more sober and realistic view of life.

September 10th is 9 - Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn: patience experienced through maintaining the home, with Mercury square Pluto which may have folks can be obsessing about some thought or idea, so it's important in conversations to be open to others' view points and not be forceful in getting others to agree with our beliefs. This may be a time where we experience one thought that dominates the day and leaves little room for anything else. This energy can easily provoke arguments over things that won't seem important in a few days. If you use this energy to explore your inner world, it can bring light to something that was hidden in the depths of our psyches. Great energy for studying subjects that deal with covert or hidden aspects, such as psychology, magic, or the occult, as well as meditation or yoga, to unveil other possibilities of human potential. Also on the 10th the Leo Moon makes no angles which does not favor major decisions or purchases, but is good to use for resting to assimilate this latest round of energy and experiences.

The 11th is 10 – Ix "eesh" or Jaguar: manifestation through enjoying nature, with the Moon in Leo in harmony with Mercury, merging with Venus and Mars, and supported by Uranus, which begins with people feeling chatty and having numerous conservations, followed by feeling cheerful, warm, gregarious, and wanting to go out and socialize, then later brings a desire for emotional excitement to engage in activities outside our daily routine, and finally experiencing irritable moods and critical communications.

September 12th is 11 – Men "men" or Eagle: resolution through seeing from a higher perspective, with the Moon challenged by Saturn and merging with Jupiter which shifts from people feeling lonely or isolated, to later having good feelings and generosity towards others.

The 13th is 12 -  Cib "keeb" or Wisdom: understanding through introspection, meditation and forgiveness, while the Moon in Virgo opposed by Neptune and supported by Pluto, which moves from feeling sensitive emotionally but confused regarding the accuracy of what's being felt, to later Pluto bringing out intense emotions and stimulating sensitivity, which also favors sexual relationships.

September 14th is 13 - Caban "kah-ban" or Earth: movement to the next stage through gratitude for Mother Earth, with the Virgo New Moon and solar eclipse, opposed by Chiron, merging with the Sun, and in harmony with Saturn. This brings energy to get organized as Summer is finishing up in the Northern Hemisphere and Winter in the South. This energetic is about health, work and service. With this lunation in opposition to Chiron, criticism will feel more wounding, so we may want to hold off a day or so if you feel the need to correct someone, and sextile Saturn has people wanting to be alone in our thoughts and feelings, but also brings realistic expectations through being calm and reflective. New moons are times of new beginnings and in Virgo is about discernment, organization, and discrimination. This may be a time to create a new plan, or organize your closets or computer, or clean up your house.  New Moons bring the opportunity to set an intension for manifestation on the following full moon. Look to the house of your astrology chart that contains 20 degrees Virgo to consider what area of your life is being activated by this new moon. For me that would be my fourth house of the home and inner world, so I would set an intension related to using this energy, such cleaning or doing home repairs or some type of inner work on myself on that day. That would fulfill the Virgo New Moon's desire for organization and refinement through the fourth house's role of inner world and the home.

So no matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Serpent trecena, take some time to be in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment through introspection, meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time to observe the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a human experience.
