Astrology and Mayan Tzolkin for October 25th to November 6th 2014

This is the "Care and feeding of a New World Age" report for Gregorian date of October 25th 2014 for 1 - Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, with Mercury turning direct, Mars entering Capricorn, and the Taurus Full Moon.
October 25th 2014 is 1 - Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn carries the themes of growth and sustenance, journeying in new directions, photosynthesis, protectors of the home and family, the World Tree energy that connects heaven and earth, peace, harmony, and order, strength in being flexible, the crusader or champion, and sharing with others. Quetzalcoatl the god-king Feathered Serpent was prophesized to return in the year 1 Reed. Quetzalcoatl is credited for replacing human sacrifice with flowers, songs and meditation. The reed connects light energy with earth energy in an integration of multidimensional existence. This trecena is a time to be grateful for family and home. So share your most precious home, your open and loving heart.
Since we begin a new Gregorian month during this trecena, I thought I'd discuss the metaphysics of the upcoming month. November is the eleventh month and with the digits for 2014, when added together we get 9, then we have a nine month in numerology. Basic numerology reduces numbers to one through nine, so when we think about that arc the 9 represents a time of completion. The numerology in January and February 2015 repeat November and December 2014 with January being a nine month and February being a one month, so in December when people are wrapping up the old Gregorian year the numerology is about beginnings and in January when folks are wanting to start something new the numerology is about completing what has begun. The new nine month cycle actually beings in February of next year. As a nine month, November 2014 is about tasks and projects that were initiated since March, and anything that is no longer needed is wrapped up and moved out of the way of the new cycle. This also brings the energy that what is begun must be completed. So this month is a time to tie up loose ends so we clean our plate for something new, as events begin to give us hints about a new direction to take. November and also January are about clearing out the old people, places, and things to make room for their new counterparts which will emerge in December and then again in February of next year. The nine is represented by the Hermit archetype in the Tarot cards, which is also about completion, contemplation, and introspection. This is the archetype of the wise lantern barer. The way shower whose life experience guides others through similar passages. This quote from Michel de Montaigne from Of Solitude represents the Hermit archetype, "The finest thing in the world is knowing how to belong to oneself." So November represents completion the numerological cycle to prepare for new beginnings.
Before I get into the daily energy for 1 - Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn trecena, on the 25th all the planets appear to be moving forward from our vantage point on Earth except Mercury which is at a standstill preparing to turn direct, and Chiron, Uranus, and Neptune which appear to move retrograde or in reverse motion. Remember the themes of retrograde planets are the review the past, re-evaluate, reminisce and we can see these themes being played out. Mercury retrograde from the 4th to the 25th would be a good time to avoid signing contracts or other legal papers, making any major purchases, or even taking a new job. If you can postpone these types of activities the terms will be much clearer after Mercury is moving direct. That may seem impossible, so if you can avoid these activities a few days before and after Mercury changing directions on the 4th and the 25th, when the energy is at its most potent, would also be beneficial. Mercury retrogrades force us to slow down and pay more attention to our lives by making us focus on the details of our daily experience. Chiron retrograde in Pisces is about releasing stuck emotional energy, so that we can return to the natural flow of life. Uranus in Aries is seeking to shake our very foundation through the unexpected rebellion of the individual. Retrograde Uranus in Aries will have people wanting to hurry the process of getting free. To push the river of revolution whether it be personal or political. Being an outer planet, Uranus creates events that we "respond" to. The inner planets effect us personally as individuals, but the outer planets change the landscape which effects us as a collective and as individuals within humanity. Neptune in its own sign of Pisces is seeking transcendence through spiritual experiences. This will be a time to use spiritual practices to keep us grounded as we expand our intuition and consciousness.

Ok let's look at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena.
October 25th 2014 for 1 - Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn: unity experienced through maintaining the home in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, with Mercury turning direct at 17 degrees Libra, which will bring forward the information that brings a new sense of our course correction is heading in the right direction. This is an important shift with October being the numerological eight month of accelerated events leading to completion next month. As Mercury begins to move forward from the point it crossed on September 14th, when we began to collect information regarding a major change that can be implemented as Mercury begins moving forward. The time period from when Mercury turned retrograde on October 4th until the 25th has given us events to further illustrate the changes being called for. It will take a few days for Mercury to build momentum but the seeds for course correction have been planted. Over the next few days we will experience new information that direct us towards new goals. Also on the 25th the Sun conjuncts Venus, at the degree Mercury turned retrograde which was 2 degrees Scorpio. The Sun merging with Venus is wonderful for self expression in relationships, and a certain amount of assertiveness to gain the attention of those we love. This is a good time to socialize, make new contacts, friends and even possibly a new love interest. This is also favorable for financial activities, just avoid being extravagant or self indulgent. The negative of this is people think they are the most fascinating and interesting person in the world, which others interpret as being a vain fool. This energetic is helpful in aligning our inner and outer environments, as we contemplate the course correction we've become aware of through the Mercury retrograde process. Also on the 25th the Scorpio Moon is challenged by Jupiter and merges with Saturn which moves from benevolent and generous feelings for those in our immediate environment, to later wanting to be alone in our thoughts and feelings. The 26th is 2 - is 2 - Ix "eesh" or Jaguar: duality experienced through enjoying nature, while Mars enters Capricorn, which brings control and focus to energy for physical activity. Fierce, magnetic, and commanding are descriptions on Capricorn Mars. This is energy that is held in reserve until it is needed. This also has the quality of quiet self reliance. Mars also rules sex, so this gives an earthy and passionate quality to encounters, but also brings self-control to relationships. Also on the 26th the Sagittarius Moon is challenged by Neptune in which daydreams and fantasies feeling more important than reality. October 27th is 3 - Men "men" or Eagle: taking action through seeing from a higher perspective, while Venus trines Neptune, which is an alignment between planet octaves. Venus representing personal love and Neptune representing unconditional love. This is pleasant energy, although not so great for accomplishing tasks. It has a strong tendency for daydreaming and fantasy. This is excellent for any type of creativity that must be conceived mentally prior to being brought into physical form. For the more highly evolved this is experienced as great compassion and tenderness, as this transit induces selflessness and spiritual love. Also on the 27th the Moon in Sagittarius finds support from Uranus and Jupiter, and harmonizes with Mercury, which begins the day with having the impulse to engage in activities that make us feel more alive, then later shifts to being very social and having lots of conversations, and finally brings feelings of inner and outer equanimity. The 28th is 4 - Cib "keeb" or Wisdom: stability through introspection, meditation and forgiveness, while the Sun trines Neptune, which is more idealistic and understands a more spiritual level of reality. This increases our sensitivity to the more subtler aspects of the world around us. This alignment favors infusing romance, creativity, and spirituality, so you might want to engage in activities like improve dance, yoga vinyasa like sun salutations, tai chi, working on art, music or any creative project. Also on the 28th the Capricorn Moon merges with Mars, and harmonizes with Neptune, the Sun, and Venus, which moves from experiencing irritable moods and critical communications, then being very sensitive to the moods of others, followed by feeling balance between our inner and outer worlds, and finally having pleasant energy to be with friends and loved ones. October 29th is 5 - Caban "kah-ban" or Earth: empowerment through gratitude for Mother Earth, while the Moon in Capricorn merges with Pluto, is challenged by Uranus and Mercury, and in harmony with Saturn, which begins the day with having more intense moods rising to the surface from deep in our psyches, then people are likely to act hasty and jump to conclusions, later our moods influencing our ability to think rationally, and finally wanting to be alone in our thoughts and feelings. The 30th is 6 - Etznab "etz-nob" or Flint: being in the flow through being introspective, while the first quarter Aquarius Moon is challenged by the Sun which brings challenges to following a daily routine. October 31st is 7 - Cauac "cow-ack" or Storm: reflection through recognizing the gifts in adversity, while the Moon in Aquarius is challenged by Venus, stimulated by Uranus, supported by Mercury, and opposed by Jupiter which shifts from having pleasant energy to be with friends and loved ones, to pleasant yet restless energy that desires emotional excitement, then later feeling in touch with our emotions and expressing them to others, and finally having feelings of generosity. November 1st is 8 - Ahau "ah-how" or Sun: balance through honoring the wisdom and memory of our ancestors, with Mercury sextile Jupiter, which brings our attention to the larger issues in life. Many will find their minds wandering to thoughts about the future, as our hopes and wishes are more important under this influence. This is also good for thinking about the overall patterns in our lives. This is optimistic and brings a positive attitude. This is also good for business negotiations, contract discussions, and commercial transactions, as well as any dealing with the law. Travel also benefits so this would be good energy to start a trip, or perhaps research some far off place you wish to visit. Religious and philosophical subjects seem more attractive for investigation at this time. Also on the 1st Venus in Scorpio sextiles Pluto in Capricorn bringing an atmosphere of passion, intensity, and expression with less filtering, be careful not say things you will regret later. Folks may seek the advice of older people (Capricorn) regarding relationships or money (Venus). Venus in harmony with Pluto combines love and death, so this could be a time when we hear from an ex-lover or have the desire to contact a partner from our past. This transit deepens our emotions and brings more focus on our friendships. It also intensifies love relationships and can take sexual experiences to a whole new level. A new relationship begun under this influence may feel "fated." Also on the 1st Mars sextile Neptune brings a time when the ego takes a back seat to seeing the world with greater sensitivity. It brings a perspective when looking at friends and folks we interact with, with greater compassion and the desire to help out. Great energy for activities like walking meditations, yoga or tai chi, or something that links physical activity with spiritual experiences.  Also on the 1st the Moon is challenged by Saturn, merges with Neptune, and is stimulated by Mars which influences emotions beginning with people feeling lonely or isolated, then later feelings of empathy for those around us, including the possibility of clairvoyance and telepathic experiences for those of us who are sensitive by nature, and finally brings the desire to work independently from others. November 2nd is 9 - Imix "e-meesh" or Crocodile: patience experienced through nurturing new beginnings, while the Pisces Moon finds support from the Sun and Venus, and harmonizes with Pluto. The day's emotional energy moves from feeling a sense of inner harmony which is mirrored in the outside world, to later experiencing deep emotions on a profound level, and finally enjoying pleasant feelings and social interactions. The 3rd is 10 - Ik "eek" or Wind: manifestation through communication, while the Sun sextiles Pluto which empowers us to make changes in our immediate environment and reform the aspects of our lives that have brought us unhappiness over time. Embrace the opportunities on the 3rd that can be used for the improvement of the general good. This is good energy for cleaning up a situation that has become confused or disordered, such as getting clear on a difficult personal situation or even cleaning house. This also brings us deeper into our thoughts with a feeling that superficial aspects are no longer adequate. Investigations should be thorough, leaving no stone unturned. Subjects such as psychology, occult, yoga, and other transformative techniques are favored for study under this influence. Also on the 3rd Venus trine Chiron brings healing energy through love relationships and social interaction. Also on the 3rd the Moon in Pisces finds support from Saturn, where we settle into a more sober and realistic view of life. November 4th is 11 - Akbal "awk-bol" or Night: resolution through contemplating the stars, while the Aries Moon is challenged by Mars and Pluto, and merges with Uranus, which shifts from people feeling irritable which could lead to needless disputes, to later having the compulsion to act in ways that may not be good for us in the long run, and finally people feeling impulsive and acting rashly, with moods changing quickly and unexpectedly. The 5th is 12 - Kan "con" or Seed or Lizard: understanding through planting seeds and making new connections, while the Sun trines Chiron which illuminates our past wounds to allow healing, with positive energy and the desire to work through issues that arose during Mercury retrograde and past eclipse season. Also on the 5th the Moon in Aries finds support from Jupiter and is opposed by Mercury, which moves from people having a pleasant sense of wellbeing, to later some feeling a real conflict between feelings and reason and others having fruitful expressions of their deeper awareness either internally or with another. November 6th is 13 - Chicchan "chee-chan" or Serpent: movement to the next stage through being flexible, with the Taurus Full Moon opposing the Sun and Venus in Scorpio and in harmony with Neptune, and supported by Mars and Pluto. Full moons are a time of tension and this one's about balancing the Scorpio Sun's desire for spiritual and emotional transformation, with the needs of a grounded material world, represented by the Moon in Taurus. With this lunation sextile Neptune brings greater sensitivity to others' emotions with possible psychic impressions for those who are open. Trine Mars brings the energy for asserting ourselves in a positive manner and standing our ground if necessary. Supported by Pluto brings out intense emotions and stimulating sensitivity, which also favors sexual relationships, and opposed by Venus brings pleasant energy for enjoying sensual experiences and rich food with a caution against overindulgence.
So no matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Reed trecena, take some time to be in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment through introspection, meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time to observe the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a human experience.
