Astrology and Mayan Tzolkin for August 8th to August 20th 2014

This is the "Care and feeding of a New World Age" report for Gregorian date of August 8th 2014 for 1 - Men "men" or Eagle in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, with the Aquarius Full Moon, Venus moving into Leo and Mercury moving into Virgo.
August 8th 2014 for 1 - Men "men" or Eagle carries the themes of higher perspective, keen vision, free spirit, messenger of faith and knowledge, patience, wings of the spirit, value, manifestation of fertility, knowing the details, dualities of the Sun and Moon, the budding youth and the wise elder, male and female, the soaring eagle and the fallen eagle, the messenger between heaven and earth. It also represents luck, hope, liberty, trust, good fortune and good relationships. Eagles have the quality of being able to observe movements from a great distance. The 1 Eagle thirteen day period could be used to gain greater perspectives about the events in our lives through creating some distance between the observer and the observed.
Before I get into the daily energy for 1 - Men "men" or Eagle, on the 8th all the planets appear to be moving forward from our vantage point on Earth except Chiron, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto which appear to move retrograde or in reverse motion. Chiron retrograde in Pisces is about releasing stuck emotional energy, so that we can return to the natural flow of life. Uranus in Aries is seeking to shake our very foundation through the unexpected rebellion of the individual. Obviously this is a difficult time of upheaval, destruction, death, unexpected change, natural disasters, violence and war. Retrograde Uranus in Aries will have people wanting to hurry the process of getting free. To push the river of revolution whether it be personal or governmental. I think that this is the time of detaching (Uranus) to act as an unobstructed individual (Aries). Being an outer planet, Uranus creates events that we "respond" to. The inner planets effect us personally as individuals, but the outer planets change the landscape which effects us as a collective and as individuals within humanity. Which reminds me of this Krishnamurti quote "The only hope for humankind is in the transformation of the individual." Uranus creates challenges according to the sign it's in, so we may feel like we keep getting lessons in a theme over and over again. Uranus being the modern ruling planet of Aquarius, means that fairness is one of the topics, and often these events may seem unfairly set against us. Neptune in its own sign of Pisces is seeking transcendence through spiritual experiences. This will be a time to use spiritual practices to keep us grounded as we expand our intuition and consciousness. This will be important energy to nurture as we are in the middle of four years of the challenging Uranus Pluto squares that have been affecting us as a collective and as individuals. Pluto represents death, completion, and in Capricorn, the breakdown of structures, to bring about transformation. Pluto in Capricorn is determined in exposing the darkness, destroying the old order, so that we can rise up like the Phoenix from the ashes to soar again. Capricorn is about large structures which includes banks, governments, corporations, and religions. This is a time of a cosmic course correction for the entire planet.
Ok let's look at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena. August 8th 2014 for 1 - Men "men" or Eagle: unity experienced through seeing from a higher perspective in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, while Sun is conjunct Mercury and trines Uranus. The Sun conjuncts Mercury, illuminates communications of all kinds. The merging of Solar and Mercurial energy may bring forward commitments that require us to sign on the dotted line, particularly regarding something that holds passion and purpose for us. The Sun conjunct Mercury in Leo which is great for expressing ourselves and thinking creatively and with leadership potential, but also with more drama in expression. We need to be watchful that we listen to others as this energetic wants to communicate. We can get our point across, but we want to be polite and allow others to do so as well. Expect this to be a day when there is an increase in phone calls, meetings, e-mails, and so on. Sun trine Uranus colors the day's energy to engage in new and different activities that lead to self discovery and a greater understanding of the world. This is more exciting energy than we have most days. People will be more perceptive and able make changes with a greater understanding of the interrelationships within their lives. Expect folks to be more forthright in expressing themselves without trying to filter what is expressed for the benefit of the listener. This day is good for studying science, something technical, or occult subjects such as astrology, because it brings the ability to find greater understanding of any discipline that reveals new and exciting aspects of the universe. On the other hand this will be a difficult day for just following the daily routine, so get out there and do something you've always wanted to. It's a great day to cross something off your "bucket list" and you'll probably gain some new self awareness in the process. Also on the 8th Mercury trines Uranus and squares Saturn. Mercury trine Uranus continues Mercury's dance through the sign of Leo. Uranus is the higher octave planet to Mercury.  Mercury being about our personal thinking and communicating, while Uranus is about transpersonal communing with something larger than ourselves. This is a very stimulating transit which raises conscious awareness and brings more of a love for life, a desire to seize the day "Carpe Deum". New ideas come quickly with solutions for a problem that has been perplexing, somehow available under this influence, after being unavailable in the days leading up to this time period. This energy is looking for a break from routine to go out and do something out of the ordinary. It favors studying a new topic, particularly astrology, science, math, technology and the occult. Expect some electric conversations under this influence. Mercury squares Saturn which favors heavy mental contemplating that requires disciplined thinking, a sharper mind and higher standard for quality. But it also brings difficulty in communicating and being understood by others. Not the best time for any type of negotiations, with folks misinterpreting each other, so I'd delay business dealings for a day or two. This is also a time when people are more likely to withdraw and feel lonely. The gift of this passage is it increases our ability to think practically, but we also see the imperfections and flaws. Also on the 8th the Capricorn Moon merges with Pluto, is challenged by Uranus, and harmonizes with Saturn, which begins with having more intense moods rising to the surface from deep in our psyches, then later people are more likely to act hasty and jump to conclusions, and finally folks are wanting to be alone in their thoughts and feelings. The 9th is 2 - Cib "keeb" or Wisdom: duality experienced through introspection, meditation and forgiveness, with Sun square Saturn which has people feeling unlucky and brings up issues that were difficult to handle but the effect doesn't last more than a few days. It really brings up two questions. What do you owe others? and what do you owe yourself? This is a conflict between self gratification and duty to others. This tension between two poles may seem limiting and depressing, as we want to break out of this rut, but find that the restrictions are holding us back from being ourselves. Folks will not want to go to work or school or interact with people they prefer not associate with. This can bring resentments as obstacles interfere with our wishes to do what we want. Under this influence people make assumptions without checking the facts, which is not favorable for relationships with authority figures. The best use of this transit is to channel the energy into self discipline. Often others are not holding us back, but we are projecting our internal restraint outwards onto people in our immediate environment. This is a low physical and psychological energy transit, so you may feel the weight of the world is to heavy. This transit shows our vulnerabilities and weaknesses, and gives us an idea about what we can work on to gain greater confidence. Also on the 9th the moon opposes Venus and Jupiter and is challenged by Mars, with the day starting with pleasant energy for enjoying sensual experiences and rich food with a caution against overindulgence, then later folks have feelings of generosity, and finally the potential for people to be irritable and have needless disputes. August 10th is 3 - Caban "kah-ban" or Earth: taking action through gratitude for Mother Earth, while we have the Aquarius Full Moon at 18 degrees stimulated by Uranus, challenged by Saturn and opposed by Mercury as well as the Sun in Leo. Of course we get the standard hype related to the "Aquarian Age" by the astrologers who haven't done their research into when the Aquarian Age will occur, which we covered way back in the New World Birth video for January 13th 2013, which is still available on YouTube. If you've connected with that offering you know that we are over 300 years away from the Aquarian Age. Which has been hyped as being a time of "spiritual bliss", but Aquarius represents technology and non-personal humanity, which reminds me of the Borg-Collective from Star Trek Next Generation, which was an impersonal technology that traveled the universe assimilating others into its group consciousness. Ironically the characters, I route for in that show represent the Leo opposition to Aquarius, being willful, creative, strong individuals. Anyway none of us will be alive in our current incarnation when the Aquarian Age dawns. This full moon is about finding balance between our social consciousness (Moon in Aquarius) and being happy, creative, and having fun (Sun in Leo) with some feeling a real conflict between feelings and reason and others will have fruitful expressions of their deeper awareness either internally or with another (Moon opposition Mercury). Leo Sun wants to be dramatically expressed, feeling tension with the transpersonal path to reason of the Aquarian Moon. The lunation in harmony with Uranus will bring pleasant yet restless feelings craving emotional excitement to do something outside the daily routine, and challenged by Saturn could have people feeling lonely or isolated during this time of tension between the Sun in Leo and the Moon in Aquarius. Saturn in Scorpio is at the head of a t-square to the Sun Mercury conjunction opposing the Moon, which applies pressure on the lunation and with Mars in Scorpio square Jupiter in Leo there is the potential for expansive violence, but also folks being driven to be generous. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus so the results of this full moon are unpredictable. This is very challenging for folks with planets at the mid degrees of Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, and particularly Taurus. The 11th is 4 - Etznab "etz-nob" or Flint: stability through being introspective, while the Pisces Moon merges with Neptune and finds support from Mars. The day moves from feelings of empathy for those around us, including the possibility of clairvoyance and telepathic experiences for those of us who are sensitive by nature, to later bringing the energy for asserting ourselves in a positive manner and standing our ground if necessary. August 12th is 5 - Cauac "cow-ack" or Storm: empowerment through recognizing the gifts in adversity, while Venus moves into Leo on the 12th, which brings flamboyant and dramatic effect on our romances and social gatherings. People may be more inspired to splurge on gifts for loved ones over the next three weeks. This completes our building stellium in Leo with Venus joining the Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter in the sign of the lion. We can see the influence with Jupiter is Leo bring us global drama during these years of the Uranus Pluto squares... planes unexpectedly crashing and being shot down, wars beginning and escalating, and the collapsing of borders. Also on the 12th the Moon in Pisces harmonizes with Pluto, and finds support from Saturn which shifts from having deep emotions finding their way to the surface and felt on a profound level, to later settling into a more sober and realistic view of life. The 13th is 6 - Ahau "ah-how" or Sun: being in the flow through honoring the wisdom and memory of our ancestors, while Aries Moon finds support from Venus and Jupiter which moves from enjoying social interactions with others, to benevolent and generous feelings for those in our immediate environment. August 14th is 7 - Imix "e-meesh" or Crocodile: reflection through nurturing new beginnings, while the Moon in Aries is challenged by Pluto, merges with Uranus, and is supported by the Leo Sun. The day begins with having the compulsion to act in ways that may not be good for us in the long run, then people feeling impulsive and acting rashly, with moods changing quickly and unexpectedly, and finally feeling a sense of inner harmony which is mirrored in the outside world. The 15th is 8 - Ik "eek" or Wind: balance through communication, while Mercury moves into Virgo which brings out the more analytical aspects of the mind and grounded communication. People will be more drawn to know the facts, with wanting to explore all sides of the question before making up their minds. Sloppy communication and thinking will find there is less tolerance when we could think things through before we speak and articulate the practical information with beautiful organization. Also on the 15th Mars sextiles Pluto bringing energy for reconstruction of our inner world, with a harmonic connection between the traditional and modern rulers of Scorpio and an alignment between planet octaves. Mars representing our desires and personal will and Pluto is the transcendent will of the Universe and the empowerment of the authentic self. A sextile between Mars and Pluto is good for making changes in our lives and to become more effective in changing the world around us. This can stimulate peoples' ambitions without others feeling threatened. With Pluto involved, the Martian ego gets sublimated so our efforts should be for the greater good or we will sow the seeds of our own self undoing. This may affect our plans as unforeseen changes are made that bring improvement over the original plan. Great energy to work with groups in moving toward a joint goal. Also on the 15th the moon is supported by Mercury, is challenged by Venus, and in harmony with Neptune, which moves from feeling in touch with our emotions and expressing them to others, to having later pleasant energy for being with the others we want to know better, and finally greater sensitivity to others' emotions with possible psychic impressions for those who are open. August 16th is 9 - Akbal "awk-bol" or Night: patience experienced through contemplating the stars, while the Taurus Moon is challenged by Jupiter, harmonizes with Pluto, and is opposed by Mars and Saturn. A busy emotional day that begins with benevolent and generous feelings for those in our immediate environment, then with Pluto bringing out intense emotions and stimulating sensitivity, which also favors sexual relationships, later opposed by Mars which influences people to be more excitable and irritable which can cause problems in our personal lives, and finally folks may be feeling lonely and isolated. The 17th is 10 - Kan "con" or Seed or Lizard: manifestation through planting seeds and making new connections, while the last quarter Moon in Taurus is challenged by the Sun in Leo which brings challenges to following a daily routine. August 18th is 11 - Chicchan "chee-chan" or Serpent: resolution through being flexible, with Venus conjunct Jupiter which is one of the most agreeable transits, unfortunately it only lasts a day. It has a very pleasant effect on people's moods. Many will be more optimistic, outgoing and eager. It can also bring folks to indulge themselves and spend money, as self discipline is at a low. This would be a great day to have any type of celebration, and of course with Venus love relationships are favored. Typically, excellent energy for a wedding or a party. Also on the 18th Mercury is opposed by Neptune bringing a day of confusion, with a great deal of information coming into our minds that we can't make any sense of. We feel a heightened sensitivity with little ability to filter to gain clarity. Not a day to make any kind of permanent commitment based on the experiences of the day. (so maybe not a day to get married after all). Over the next few days we'll gain clarity about this download of new spiritual awareness. Folks may feel confused, anxious, and have a lower tolerance for stress on the 18th. Also on the 18th the Gemini Moon is challenged by Mercury and Neptune, and in harmony with Jupiter and Venus which shifts from folks being critical in their communications particularly with the people they have intimate relationships with, then daydreams and fantasies feeling more important than reality, later feeling in the flow and having a sense of wholeness, and finally having pleasant energy to be with friends and loved ones. The 19th is 12 - Cimi "key-mee" or Transformation: understanding through releasing what no longer serves us, while the Moon in Gemini harmonizes with Uranus and the Sun. The day begins with pleasant yet restless feelings craving emotional excitement to do something outside the daily routine, and wraps up with feelings of inner and outer equanimity. August 20th is 13 - Manik "man-eek" or Deer: movement to the next stage through being of service to others, while the Cancer Moon finds support from Neptune in Pisces which brings our innermost subconscious fantasies and daydreams confusing reality, which may not be great for accomplishing much work.
So no matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Eagle trecena, take some time to be in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment through introspection, meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time to observe the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a human experience.
