July 26th 2014 for 1 - Ik
"eek" or Wind carries the themes of air, breath, life force, prana, chi, that which
animates life, inspiration, imagination, the spark of creativity and spirit,
communication, and the dissemination of seeds and ideas. The day glyph for wind
is a T shaped cross that represents the Mayan god of wind but is also symbolic
of trees which restore the life energy to the air. This thirteen day period would be a good time to
communicate your inspiration and connect with the life force that makes you
unique.
Since
we begin a new Gregorian month during this trecena, I thought I'd discuss the
metaphysics of the upcoming month. August is the eighth month and with the
digits for 2014, when added together we get 15, then we add 1 + 5 to tell us
that this is a fifteen/six month in numerology. Basic numerology reduces
numbers to one through nine, so when we think about that arc the six represents
a time of review after gaining insights during the five month. It's about
finding balance by sorting out to determine what we want to keep and what has
fulfilled its purpose and can be released. These qualities are shared by the
sign of Virgo, which is the placement of the sun at the end of the month. The
six month wants resolutions and harmony. The fifteen/six combination is
represented by the Devil and the Lovers in the Tarot cards, which is about
facing our bedevilments or problems with tenacity and humor to hone ourselves
in relationship to the other. This quote from Bennett W. Goodspeed represents
the Devil archetype, "The difference between a comedy and a tragedy is
that in a comedy the characters figure out reality in time to do something
about it." This offering from Anais Nin is helpful in understanding the
Lovers, "The value of the personal relationship to all things is that it
creates intimacy, and intimacy creates understanding, and understanding creates
love." So August represents a new series of events and a shift in a new
direction on many levels including facing our inner shadow and sharing our
light with others. With Mars in Scorpio, purpose and passion mirror the tarot
archetypes. Saturn also in Scorpio takes that powerful drive to align action
with responsibility, transparency and ethics.
Before I get into the daily energy for 1 - Ik "eek" or Wind, on
the 26th all the planets appear to be moving forward from our vantage point on
Earth except Chiron, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto which appear to move retrograde or in reverse
motion. Chiron retrograde in Pisces is about releasing stuck emotional energy,
so that we can return to the natural flow of life. Uranus
in Aries is seeking to shake our very foundation through the unexpected
rebellion of the individual. Obviously this is a difficult time of upheaval,
destruction, death, unexpected change, natural disasters, violence and war.
Retrograde Uranus in Aries will have people wanting to hurry the process of
getting free. To push the river of revolution whether it be personal or
governmental. I think that this is the time of detaching (Uranus) to act as an
unobstructed individual (Aries). Being an outer planet, Uranus creates events
that we "respond" to. The inner planets effect us personally as
individuals, but the outer planets change the landscape which effects us as a
collective and as individuals within humanity. Which reminds me of this
Krishnamurti quote "The only hope for humankind is in the transformation
of the individual." Uranus creates challenges according to the sign it's
in, so we may feel like we keep getting lessons in a theme over and over again.
Uranus being the modern ruling planet of Aquarius, means that fairness is one
of the topics, and often these events may seem unfairly set against us. Neptune
in its own sign of Pisces is seeking transcendence through spiritual
experiences. This will be a time to use spiritual practices to keep us grounded
as we expand our intuition and consciousness. This will be important energy to
nurture as we are in the middle of four years of the challenging Uranus Pluto
squares that have been affecting us as a collective and as individuals. Pluto represents death,
completion, and in Capricorn, the breakdown of structures, to bring about
transformation. Pluto in Capricorn is determined in exposing the darkness,
destroying the old order, so that we can rise up like the Phoenix from the
ashes to soar again. Capricorn is about large structures which includes banks,
governments, corporations, and religions. This is a time of a cosmic course
correction for the entire planet.
Ok let's look at the daily vibrational
energy for this trecena. July 26th 2014 for 1 - Ik "eek" or Wind: unity
experienced through communication
in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, while we have the Leo New Moon. New moons are times of new
beginnings and in Leo is about shifting and changing of our creativity and
having the urge to roar. This brings a surge of new creativity
through making different choices, exploring new options, and investigating
unrealized desires. This new moon is about exploring the edge, because the
familiar is no longer the preferred. New moons are times of new beginnings and
in Leo, it's about power, exuberance, creativity, enthusiasm, and drama, which
is ruled by the Sun. New
Moons bring the opportunity to set an intension for manifestation on the
following full moon. Look to the house of your astrology chart that contains 3
degrees 52 minutes Leo to consider what area of your life is being activated by
this new moon. For me that would be my second house of money, income, financial
prospects, and possessions, so I would set an intension related to using this
energy to increase abundance with Jupiter newly in Leo for the next year, these
themes will get an extra boost. The moon is challenged by Mars and merges with
Jupiter and the Sun. The moon square Mars could have people
feeling irritable which could lead to needless disputes, but that is somewhat
balanced by the lunation's conjunction to Jupiter which brings good feelings
and generosity towards others. This New Moon following two days after the Sun
Jupiter conjunction may present opportunities to move through another important
shift that leads in a new direction. On the world stage, Leo which rules
creativity but also children, Jupiter is expansion, and here in the United
State the increase of children streaming into the country has become a hot
topic. Mars in Scorpio in a harsh aspect to the lunation brings aggressive
conflict to this the themes of the New Moon. The 27th is 2 - Akbal
"awk-bol" or Night:
duality experienced through
contemplating the stars, while the Leo Moon finds support from Uranus and is challenged
by Saturn has people having the impulse to engage in activities
that make us feel more alive, while feeling lonely or isolated. July 28th is 3 - Kan
"con" or Seed
or Lizard: taking action through planting seeds and making new connections, while Venus is opposed by Pluto which will intensify
relationships. When Venus dances with Pluto, it is not uncommon to hear from
our past lovers or pine for someone from your past, usually it's best to leave
these old partners where they are, but some will not be able to resist digging
up the dead to be sure of the relationships' demise. Overall this intensifies
experiences in our love lives. People will seek emotional experiences that
transport them out of the ordinary, which could also lead to indiscretions that
lead to problems later on. A new relationship begun under this transit may have
a compulsive nature to it. Watch out for people wanting to exert power over
others through manipulating jealousy, guilt or another negative emotion. Some
will feel irresistibly attracted to someone who is not good for them.
Relationships may struggle due to hidden resentments and tensions rising to the
surface, just being conscious of that and choosing your words carefully, so
they are not interpreted as destructive, can provide an opportunity for growth
in partnership. Also on the 28th the Moon in Leo makes no angles and
is void of course until moving into Virgo at 11:37 pm EDT, which does not favor
major decisions or purchases, but is good to use for resting to assimilate this
latest round of energy and experiences. The 29th is 4 - Chicchan
"chee-chan" or Serpent:
stability through being
flexible, while the Virgo Moon is stimulated by Mars, opposed by Neptune, and
finds support from Pluto. The day's emotional energy moves from having the
desire to work independently from others, to later feeling sensitive
emotionally but confused regarding the accuracy of what's being felt, and
finally with Pluto bringing out intense emotions and stimulating sensitivity,
which also favors sexual relationships. July 30th is 5 - Cimi "key-mee" or
Transformation: empowerment through releasing what no longer serves us, the Moon in Virgo
harmonizes with Venus and Saturn which shifts from having
pleasant energy to be with friends and loved ones to later wanting to be alone
in our thoughts and feelings.
The
31st is 6 - man-eek" : being in
the flow through being
of service to others, while Mercury enters Leo which brings two weeks of more exuberant and leadership
in communication. Expect that people will express themselves with a little more
drama, less sensitivity, more stubbornness, and with a flair for humor. It
would be best to avoid being arrogant or boastful under the Leo Mercury
influence. Also on the
31st the moon harmonizes with Mercury and Jupiter. The day moves from being
very social and having lots of conversations, to later feeling
in the flow and having a sense of wholeness. August 1st is 7 - Lamat "la-maught" or Star or Rabbit:
reflection through being
grateful for abundant relationships, with Venus
squaring Uranus and trine Saturn. Venus square Uranus
activates the Uranus Pluto for a few days before and after the 1st, and has
folks seeking excitement in their love relationships, this can include picking
a fight to experience a different aspect of interacting. The beginning of
August is intense as we have the planet of love, but also money in Cancer being
challenged by the "Winds of Change". Because Uranus is involved this
is unpredictable but also can be drastic with Pluto in concert. Themes of this
energetic might be an unexpected stock market drop, a change in spending due to
scarcity, or a currency change in oil markets where the dollar had been the
preferred measurement of value. On a personal level folks are looking for
something exciting, out of the ordinary, and so if your relationship has become
dull or predictable this is the time to inject it with a new experience, rather
than have it erupt into a fight about "how we never do anything
interesting..." Basically the less flexibility in a relationship during
this transit, the more damaging this alignment is likely to be. Venus trine Saturn
brings some reliability, stability and a clearer perspective on our
relationships. People will recognize their loved one as human, and as long as
we live up to our obligations they will likely do the same. Venus is also about
money so this may have folks being more conservative with their limited
resources. Relationships begun under this transit tend to be stable and
sobering, more practical than romantic. Venus trine Chiron will help heal the
old wounds that we've become aware of from the interactions of the planet of
love and money with Uranus and Saturn. Also on the 1st
Mars squares Jupiter, which brings energy for successful
activities and furthering new projects, with a caution against being reckless
during this surge of unbridled desire. Folks will be tempted to shoot first and
ask questions later, acting quickly without considering all the factors.
Unjustified optimism that our efforts today will "turn into gold" may
unbalance our judgment. Through planning and fore thought we may find success,
but it will not come about based solely on luck. This transit is future
oriented, and good for furthering new projects, just avoid overextending
yourself or your resources. There is also a fondness for taking risks and pushing
beyond normal limitations of energy, impulsivity now will be paid for in the
future, which may be less than pleasant, or it may result in accidents at this
time. With Mars newly in Scorpio and Jupiter newly in Leo, both at 3 degrees
and change, we are likely to feel a drive to take action on new events pushing
us to become involved in something we didn't plan for that brings purpose and
passion. Leo's leadership influence will have some willing to confront those
who wish to oppress and usurp power. Scorpio's depth will want to dig below
what is being offered to find the hidden truth. Also on the 1st the Libra Moon
harmonizes with the Sun, is challenged by Pluto and Venus, and opposed by
Uranus. The day moves from feeling balance between our inner and outer
worlds, then shifts to having the compulsion to act in ways that may not be
good for us in the long run, later folks are emotionally excitable and impulsive, and finally having
pleasant energy to be with friends and loved ones. The 2nd is 8 Muluc "moo-luke" or Offering: balance
through appreciating creation, with Mercury conjunct Jupiter and square
Mars. Mercury conjunct Jupiter has us
looking at the larger issues in life. It helps our comprehension by seeing the
bigger perspective and incorporating new information. This also brings more
tolerance of the view points of others. This is a time of evaluating our hopes
and dreams along with our overall plans for the future. This can be quite
optimistic and particularly good for business and commercial transactions,
contract negotiations, and dealings with the law, especially if we recognize
that we get what we want by helping others fulfill their needs. We are likely
feel our communications are expensive not only in quantity but also in scopes
of topics. Leo's influence brings courage, bravery, and perhaps throwing
caution to the wind and jumping both feet forward into some new endeavor or
relationship. It would be best to avoid being overconfident, as this may be a
time where people over look important details under the influence of Jupiter. Mercury square Mars also on the 2nd, continues to
compound the intensity with another difficult transit. This one has people
feeling touchy and irritable, with almost any communication interpreted as a
challenge. Hard to imagine that someone doesn't get set off by the implied
attitude of this transit. People will feel the drive to defend their ideas,
from a simple debate to and all out fight. This time it would be important to
realize beliefs and thoughts can change and to not indentify our ego with them.
This is yet another transit that indicates the potential to be involved in
accidents. This particularly likely for someone who trying to suppress their
anger. Also on the 2nd the Moon in Libra makes no angles and is void
of course until moving into Scorpio
at 10:57 pm EDT, which does not favor major decisions or
purchases, but is good to use for resting to assimilate this latest round of
energy and experiences. August 3rd is 9 - Oc "awk" or Dog: patience
experienced through enjoying
family and friends, while the First Quarter Scorpio Moon is challenged by
Jupiter, Mercury and the Sun, merges with Mars, finds support from Neptune, and
harmonizes with Pluto. Brings an emotional busy day that starts with benevolent
and generous feelings for those in our immediate environment, then experiencing
irritable moods and critical communications, to our moods influencing our
ability to think rationally, later fantasies and daydreams distracting us from
accomplishing routine tasks, and finally we encounter challenges to our daily
routines. The 4th is 10 - Chuen "shoe-in" or Monkey: manifestation
through creating something new, while the
Moon in Scorpio merges with Saturn and is supported by Venus which shifts from wanting
to be alone in our thoughts and feelings, to later enjoying pleasant feelings
and social interactions. August 5th is 11 - Eb "eb" or Road: resolution through serving your community, while the
Sagittarius Moon is supported by Jupiter and challenged by Neptune which moves
from people
having a pleasant sense of wellbeing, to later daydreams and fantasies feeling
more important than reality. The 6th is 12 - Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn:
understanding through maintaining
the home, with Saturn
trine Chiron favoring healing any limitations in our lives through acceptance.
Saturn supporting Chiron means the healing occurs through work and discipline
with a solid foundation for releasing old wounds. Also on the 6th the Moon in
Sagittarius finds support from Mercury, the Sun and Uranus which shifts from feeling
in touch with our emotions and expressing them to others, to later feeling a
sense of inner harmony which is mirrored in the outside world, then finally brings
a desire for emotional excitement to engage in activities outside our daily
routine. August 7th is 13 - Ix "eesh" or Jaguar: movement to the next
stage through enjoying
nature, while Mars trines Neptune
which is good for using our energy in activities that benefit others rather
than helping ourselves. This can also inspire us to seek spiritual knowledge
about how we relate to others and the universe. Neptune balances the usual high
physical energy that we normally have with a Mars transit, and actually may
leave us feeling like doing very little. This makes us more conscious of the
needs and wants of others. This is a good time to look at our lives and the
world more objectively, without judgment, due to Neptune softening Mars'
desires with detachment. Folks are more likely to do charitable work with poor
or disadvantaged people, with a caution against seeing yourself as a savior to
those who are worse off. Also on the 7th
the Capricorn Moon harmonizes with Neptune and Mars which shifts from greater
sensitivity to others' emotions with possible psychic impressions for those who
are open, to later brings the desire to work independently from others.
So no matter what energies are affecting you
during this 1 Wind trecena, take some time to be in the flow of the planet by
being in nature, watching a sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being
conscious of the moment through introspection, meditation or being with someone
you love. Every day is a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us.
We are all giving the performance of a life time on this world stage, just take
some time to observe the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a
spiritual being having a human experience.
