October 13th to October 25th 2013

This is the "Care and feeding of a New World Age" report for Gregorian date of October 13th 2013 for 1 - Cib "keeb" or Wisdom in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, also Mars moving into Virgo, the Aries Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, Mercury turning retrograde, and the Sun moving into Scorpio.

October 13th 2013 is 1 - Cib "keeb" or Wisdom which carries the themes of the old ones, ancient memories that wait at the sacred sites, protection of universal consciousness, inner strength, shared teachings, the Elders, clearing away the past like the vulture, forgiveness, making amends, great sages and keepers of the ancient records. Represented by the Vulture or Owl, this is a time of releasing the past through forgiveness which creates a grateful heart space to receive the wisdom of the ancients. The next thirteen days is about surrendering something that no longer serves to make room for transformation. This is a time to forgive others and ask for forgiveness not only from individuals, but also from our mother Earth.

This being 1 Cib, I am reminded that New World Birth was founded 12-8-10 which was 1 Wisdom. So in that spirit, I'm wondering what do folks want to see more of and what are the things that are a distraction. I'm aware that the edgy topics are more popular. We added the Human Design forecast a few months ago, do folks think it's helpful?  I'd love your feedback so we can increase the value of our experience.

I've included the Human Design transits for the trecena, along with the astrology and Tzolkin day signs. I'll quickly review some of that information before discussing the Neutrino Forecast for the current 1 - Wisdom 13 day period. We start by looking at the position of the Sun, Earth, Moon, Planets, and Nodes as we would in astrology, except instead of relating them to the Zodialogical constellations and each other, we look at them in relation to the hexagrams of the I'Ching, which are then mapped to specific locations in the body graph. For instance at the beginning of this trecena we have the Sun in Libra also in the 57th hexagram. The shapes inside the body graph are called centers and represent the next stage in our evolution as humans from having seven chakras to having nine centers. The pathways between the centers are called channels and are from the Kabala. The Sun in the 57th hexagram is mapped to an opening in an energy channel called a gate, and which is the 57th gate of "Intuitive Clarity- The Gentle", located on the upper edge of the splenic center in an individual energy path called the "Channel of the Brainwave" when connected to the 20. Being part of the integration channels when the 57 is connected to the 34, we have the "Channel of Power" which was defined until the day before this trecena and was described on the previous "One Night" report. The other connection the 57 can make is with the 10 to form the "Channel of Perfected Form". I have found HD to be amazingly accurate and my primary tool when I provide readings. The black strips of paper in this diagram represent the gates activated by the Sun, Planets, and Nodes regardless if they form a channel. So we have the following hanging gates or potentials at the beginning of this 1 - Wisdom trecena; the Sun in the 57, the Earth in the 51, the North node in the 44 and South Node in the 24, Mercury in the 1, Venus in the 9, Mars in the 29, Jupiter in the 53, Saturn in the 44, Uranus in the 21, Neptune in the 55, and Pluto in the 58. Obviously not every gate activation forms a channel, but this information can be very helpful if you know your own Human Design chart, because some of these transits will form channels with potentials in your personal body graph. You can get your HD chart by going to jovianarchive.com, clicking on the button that says "Get your free Rave Chart", and entering your birth information. I'm not going to follow the moon with this demonstration, because it moves so fast that it activates three to four gates a day.

On 1 - Cib "keeb" or Wisdom, we have no defined channels. Later on the 13th the Earth moves into the 42 and with Jupiter in the 53 we have the Channel of Maturation until October 19th. Which brings energy to be cautious about starting something new, although I'm not sure how this will effect folks as a transit, for people who have this in their birth chart making a commitment must be followed to its conclusion. So I'd be careful about making a commitment, because this makes it very difficult to "get out of it" later. Its energetic is that we get the same experience over and over again, if we try to abort it before completion, which may take seven years. This may be a time that feels like the movie "Groundhog Day" with experiences of repeating cycles that slowly bring us to a state of maturity and wisdom. The wisdom that "all life is a journey that never ends." We may all feel more deeply attuned to the cycles of life for a few days as we are more apt to notice planetary cycles, body cycles, historical cycles... This also affects non-Generator types in feeling busy and having the endurance to work, but don't get used to it. With the Sun in the 32 it brings the fear of failure.

On the 23rd Venus moves into the 26 and with Saturn and the North Node in the 44 we have the Channel of Surrender until October 28th. This is the design of the Transmitter. This conditions us to believe we have an instinct for knowing how to present anything to anyone and get our message recognized. This channel definition works when it is invited, and when someone asks, they have opened their aura to what you wish to share. This can be manipulative and folks who have this in their rave charts can "sell ice to Eskimos". During this time period people will be more convincing in their presentation whether it be a message, product, or truth, with the aim to get paid more for doing less.

Before I get into the daily energy for 1 - Cib "keeb" or Wisdom trecena, on October 13th 2013 all the planets appear to move forward from our vantage point on Earth except Chiron, Uranus, and Neptune which appear to move retrograde or in reverse motion. I've discussed in depth the implications of these planets moving retrograde in the past reports, so I'll just keynote each one. Retrograde Chiron has us reviewing our wounds so that they can be released, by having the courage to open our hearts to any fear or pain associated with our past. Retrograde Uranus in Aries is seeking to shake our very foundation to shock us to awaken and forces us to embrace our new way of living through reversals and unexpected events. Retrograde Neptune in Pisces is seeking transcendence through spiritual practices to keep us grounded as we expand our intuition and consciousness, while we are in the middle of four years of the unexpected rebellion of the individual (Uranus in Aries) challenging the decaying power structure (Pluto in Capricorn).

The big change in October is Mercury retrograde. Mercury is retrograde until November 10th so the end of October and the beginning of November would be a good time to avoid signing contracts or other legal papers, making any major purchases, or even taking a new job. If you can postpone these types of activities the terms will be much clearer after Mercury is moving direct. Mercury retrogrades force us to slow down and pay more attention to our lives by making us focus on the details of our daily experience. When looking at a retrograde cycle of any of the personal or inner planets, it provides information about a correction to our present course. During this report period we have Mercury traveling through the first stage of the retrograde process which started on 10/1. There are two important points to be aware of in looking at the cycle. We look at the point where the planet appears to move backwards and the point where it appears to move forward again. The first stage represents the shadow time between passing 2 degrees Scorpio, the point where the planet will eventually begin moving forward again and the point where the planet slows, stops, and begins moving in reverse, 18 degrees Scorpio. During the first stage we receive information about needing to adjust our direction. The second stage is the retrograde phase and is a time to watch the events that occur related to the information received in the 1st stage. The 3rd stage begins when the planet is moving forward again until crossing the line where it originally turned retrograde. During the 3rd stage we move forward with a revision to our previous course. We entered the 1st stage for Mercury on October 1st, so until October 21st, we are receiving information about an adjustment that needs to be made in our lives. Mercury is retrograde from 10/21 at 18 Scorpio until 11/10 at 2 Scorpio which will be the time when we will notice events that shift our thinking, and from November 10th to November 27th, we are in the 3rd stage where we implement the change in direction from the awareness gained through experiencing this process.

I think this is the most interesting Mercury retrograde I've seen in a long time, because during its course it will connect with several planets three times each. It will trine Neptune, conjunct Saturn, sextile Pluto, and trine Chiron with three events each. And on November 1st, the day it conjuncts the Sun, which happens in every Mercury retrograde, it will be exact on the day of the fourth Uranus Pluto square. This has me recall the Chinese proverb, and I believe curse, "May you live in interesting times." I've discovered that Mercury retrogrades repeat every 79 years, so look for the reoccurrence of themes from 1934, 1855 and 1776. Let's see if those were interesting times. 1934 saw the rise of fascism in Germany and Austria, coup attempts in France and Bulgaria, and the rise and fall of gangsters and bank robbers in the USA. What stuck out for me was the realization that 1934 was also one of the years of the previous Uranus Pluto squares, with Uranus in Aries as it is now, but Pluto in Cancer. This was an historical time period of global financial decline and increased fascism. 1855 brought the Great Gold Robbery of 1855 which occurred in England, rising conflicts between pro-slavery and anti slavery forces which began in Bleeding Kansas in the USA and the Taiping Rebellion in China which was one of the deadliest military conflicts in history, killing about 20 million people, mostly civilians. 1855 was the time period when Neptune was last in Pisces, as it is currently, which was also a time of more compassion for the suffering of slaves in the United States. 1776 saw the American Revolution and the Declaration of Independence. Interestingly tactics that we look at as carried out by patriots in history, would now be acts of terrorism from our modern viewpoint, such as attaching a time bomb to the hull of the HMS Eagle or placing cannons on Dorchester Heights overlooking Boston Harbor. These are themes of the Trickster archetype, to use cleverness and covert actions rather than attempt to battle a powerful adversary on its own terms. 1776 also was a year where Pluto was in Capricorn, dismantling power structures that have out grown their usefulness, which is the last time period Pluto was in Capricorn until 2008, where it remains today. Clearly we are looking at cycles within cycles, the players have changed roles, but the themes of a decaying empire collapsing under its own weight, with individuals employing tactics of cleverness over direct confrontation, the oppressive power of fascist governments, economic decline increasing the chasm between the elite and the struggling throngs, and the growing compassion for those left without a voice are the fabric of our times.

In the sign of Scorpio, the themes of powerful feelings, emotional awareness, and intuition, guiding our transformation through experiences of death and rebirth will be particularly apparent and could have a profound effect on our lives. If you look at the house of your astrological chart that contains 2 to18 degrees of Scorpio, you can find the theme where you will experience revisions, reviews and rethinking of the characteristics represented by that house. For me it is the fifth house of children and creativity, so I expect this cycle to provide new information about my creative process and perhaps my relationships with children. No matter where the Mercury retrograde occurs in your chart, this often leads to changing choices, goals, and directions. In the world look for the themes of transparency and bringing information to the surface, exposure of motives and ethics, which is all in line with the 'seven' month characteristics which we discussed in the last video related to the numerology of October 2013.

By the middle of October Mercury is slowing down as it stops and turns retrograde at 18 degrees Scorpio on the 21st. When a planet slows down to a stop from our perspective here on earth, that planet is considered to be at the peak of its power and Mercury being at the peak of its power reminds me that the Greek god Hermes, who the Romans renamed to Mercury, was also the trickster god. He was the messenger of the Gods and if you weren't on his good side you might not get your message or it might be altered to mean something different than was intended. In mythology the trickster is a god, goddess, woman, man, animal or spirit that creates mischief by playing tricks and acting outside of the accepted rules of their community. I've covered the trickster archetype in the past, but I do want share this quote from Joseph Campbell "Almost all non-literate mythology has a trickster-hero of some kind. . . . And there’s a very special property in the trickster: he always breaks in, just as the unconscious does, to trip up the rational situation. He’s both a fool and someone who’s beyond the system. And the trickster represents all those possibilities of life that your mind hasn’t decided it wants to deal with. The mind structures a lifestyle, and the fool or trickster represents another whole range of possibilities. He doesn’t respect the values that you’ve set up for yourself, and smashes them. . . . The fool is the breakthrough of the absolute into the field of controlled social orders." And that is a great description for Mercury retrograde. It also contains a formula for confronting a much more powerful foe. Being cunning over fighting on their terms.

This Mercury retrograde is intertwined with the Uranus Pluto square, because the day retrograde Mercury conjuncts the Sun is November 1st, the day of the fourth Uranus Pluto square, when the down trodden authentic individual rebel squares off against the decaying power structures. The material world continues to destabilize, so it is very important to support local providers and have a strong spiritual foundation. This is a time we feel like our backs are against the wall. We have no choice but to change or endure something that was once unthinkable. Uranus gives us something unexpected.  This goes beyond dealing with the consequences of bad choices or poor planning, but random events where folks are just at the wrong place at the wrong time. I'll be covering this in more depth in New World Birth's next report.

Just to get us started on this significant shift. We talked about the Uranus Pluto square in past shows as being 7 occurrences from 2012 to 2015, whose theme is the individual (Aries) revolutionary, upsetting (Uranus) the decaying and dying (Pluto) power structures (Capricorn). So we are approaching the midpoint where the critical mass shifts from the old paradigm to the new. My favorite example of this taking hold was when the reporter asked U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry if there was anyway Syria could avoid military intervention and Kerry responded "He could turn over every single bit of his chemical weapons to the international community, in the next week... turn it over... all of it... without delay and allow a full and total accounting for that... But he isn't about to do it and it can't be done, obviously." That question changed the course of history. That is the power of the individual to upset the power structure from following the status quo. And here in the US the old boy network is spouting that the United States is being seen as weak because we didn't attack Syria. To me finding a peaceful solution always requires more strength.

The Uranus Pluto square on November 1st is very powerful. With at least 10 strong planetary alignments at the time of the square. With so many planets at 9 degrees and change, it's like a shooting gallery, or when I first saw the chart it looked like a light saber battle. We have Mars trine Pluto, opposing Chiron, and inconjunct Uranus and the Moon squaring Pluto and opposing Uranus leading up to the square, which is followed by Mercury and the Sun merged together as they sextile Mars and inconjunct Uranus, so we have the "Finger of Fate" pointing at Uranus. Mercury and the Sun are sextile Pluto, as is Chiron. This tells a story. In the war between the Titans, Pluto is direct and well supported by Mars, the Sun, Mercury, and Chiron. The challenger, Uranus is retrograde and has nothing but detrimental connection with other planets. I see this as the scrappy Uranus, being backed into a corner by Pluto and his entourage, but Uranus is as unpredictable as an injured cornered wild animal. The results will be unexpected and most likely violent. Since Neptune is not a player in this chart, I don't believe there will be deception involved, I suspect this will be an overt incident or incidents that present us with an experience like a chemical reaction where some things are forever changed into a new material. I think we will find that November 1st will be a time, we look back on as a point when the quantum shift occurred, when we experienced something that cannot be undone, the ship sailing over the edge of the world, the point of no return.

Ok let's look at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena. October 13th 2013 is 1 - Cib "keeb" or Wisdom: unity experienced through introspection, meditation and forgiveness, with the Aquarius Moon in harmony with Venus and Uranus, and challenged by Saturn and Mercury. The day moves from wanting to be with friends and the people we love, then pleasant yet restless feelings craving emotional excitement to do something outside the daily routine, later we have some folks feeling lonely or isolated, and finally our moods influencing our ability to think rationally. The 14th is 2 - Caban "kah-ban" or Earth: duality experienced through gratitude for Mother Earth, while the Moon is supported by the Sun, opposed by Mars and merges with Neptune. The day moves from having a sense of inner harmony which is mirrored in the outside world, to then opposed by Mars which influences people to be more excitable and irritable which can cause problems in our personal lives, and finally feelings of empathy for those around us, including the possibility of clairvoyance and telepathic experiences for those of us who are sensitive by nature. October 15th is 3 - Etznab "etz-nob" or Flint: taking action through being introspective, as Mars moves into Virgo for a stay until December 7th, which brings organization and systemization to our drive at work or in service. Also this can bring a coolness to the expression of sexual energy, but under the surface there is an idealization of having both rapturous physical connections and exciting mental exchanges. Overall Mars' desire and passion is reined in while in Virgo. We may also see folks aggressively driving their cars while talking on their cell phones in an attempt to multitask to be more efficient, with mixed results. We also have the Pisces Moon challenged by Venus, in harmony with Pluto, and finding support from Saturn and Mercury, which moves from pleasant energy for being with the others we want to know better, with experiencing deep emotions on a profound level, and later a sober realistic view of life, and finally being more in touch with our feelings and able to share them with others. The 16th is 4 - Cauac "cow-ack" or Storm: stability through recognizing the gifts in adversity, with Venus trine Uranus which wants social experiences and romantic encounters to be outside the norm, unusual, and surprising. This is a great day to try something out of the ordinary. The daily routine will just not cut it under this influence. Folks are looking to do something stimulating in their social lives and relationships. A day when there may be unique encounters and love relationships that begin under this influence are exciting, electric, unstable and short, but have a strong potential to change our lives. This could also bring unconventional agreements in our relationship such as agreeing to change from an exclusive coupling to experimenting with having other lovers. Experiencing different types of entertainment is also favored by this transit, by enjoying music, art, or theater that is outside your normal choices. Venus also squares Chiron on the 16th, which is a time when we can be wounded by our relationship, but given Chiron's retrograde motion it might also be a time where a wound from our past comes back into our awareness to be healed. The 16th the Moon in Pisces finds support from Jupiter which brings a pleasant sense of wellbeing. October 17th is 5 - Ahau "ah-how" or Sun: empowerment through honoring the wisdom and memory of our ancestors, as the Aries Moon is challenged by Pluto, merges with Uranus, and finds support from Venus. Which brings a day with people having the compulsion to act in ways that may not be good for us in the long run, then feeling impulsive and acting rashly, with moods changing quickly and unexpectedly, to later enjoying pleasant feelings and social interactions. The 18th is 6 - Imix "e-meesh" or Crocodile: being in the flow through nurturing new beginnings, as we experience the Aries Full moon and lunar eclipse, being squared by Jupiter. Full moons are a time of tension as the Sun in Libra is about balancing needs of those we have relationships with and our own personal emotional needs as individuals, represented by the Moon in Aries. Eclipses intensify the experience, especially on the part of the globe where they can be observed. The square with Jupiter brings a benevolent quality to the lunation, and brings contemplation of the loftier aspects of life. So it seems that whatever edge the eclipse brings, Jupiter softens it or at least finds a positive way of implementing any intensity in striking a harmony between our commitment to others and our commitment to ourselves. But we are talking Jupiter so it could go overboard on one of the extremes or the other. October 19th is 7 - Ik "eek" or Wind: reflection through communication, as Mars is opposed by Neptune which can be discouraging with people feeling inadequate in just trying to fulfill the daily responsibilities. This can be a time of low energy for a day of two before and after the exact opposition. This is best handled by avoiding stressful situations, particularly physically demanding activities, as the immune system is compromised and sickness is possible if you get run down. This is also a time to be careful of deception, so if it looks too good to be true... it probably is. Expect more misunderstanding, anger and mistrust during this time period. This could also indicate increased substance abuse as folks will want to disengage as many will have to face consequences from the past they'd rather avoid. This transit favors working alone on a creative project. It also favors service activities in the interest of other people. Also on the 19th we have the Taurus Moon finding support from Mars and Pluto, and harmonizing with Neptune, bringing the energy for asserting ourselves in a positive manner and standing our ground if necessary, while being very sensitive to the moods of others, to later bringing out intense emotions and stimulating sensitivity, which also favors sexual relationships. The 20th is 8 - Akbal "awk-bol" or Night: balance through contemplating the stars, while the Moon in Taurus is opposed by Saturn and Mercury, and harmonizes with Jupiter. The day begins with folks feeling lonely and isolated, to later some feeling a real conflict between feelings and reason and others having fruitful expressions of their deeper awareness either internally or with another, and finally shifts to feeling in the flow and having a sense of wholeness. October 21st is 9 - Kan "con" or Seed or Lizard: patience experienced through planting seeds and making new connections, with Mercury turning retrograde on the 21st at 18 degrees Scorpio. Even folks who don't follow astrology are aware of Mercury retrograde's effect on communication, technology and travel. This begins a time that shifts our review of information below the surface, with a focus on transparency that exposes the deeper Scorpionic themes of ethics, motives, and values. While the Gemini Moon, which is ruled by Mercury, is challenged by Neptune and Mars, which brings energy where daydreams and fantasies feel more important than reality, with people feeling irritable which could lead to needless disputes. The 22nd is 10 - Chicchan "chee-chan" or Serpent: manifestation through being flexible, with the Moon in Gemini stimulated by Uranus and opposed by Venus, which shifts from pleasant yet restless energy that desires emotional excitement, to later pleasant energy for enjoying sensual experiences and rich food with a caution against overindulgence. October 23rd is 11 - Cimi "key-mee" or Transformation: resolution through releasing what no longer serves us, while the Sun moves into Scorpio bringing us into the peak of the season which is often keynoted as intensity and passion in this fixed water sign. The scorpion is known for endurance, and drive, but also for seeking to find a deeper purpose in life. Of course Halloween and its origin in the pagan holiday Samhaiin, are about seeing through the veil into the otherworld, make the midpoint of Scorpio. For the next month the Sun casts more light on subjects such as death, rebirth, transformation, sex, regeneration, psychic experiences, anything that delves below the surface to explore the depths and mysteries, when transiting Scorpio, with the Moon making no angles and void of course all day, which does not favor major decisions or purchases, but is good to use for resting to assimilate this latest round of energy and experiences. The 24th is 12 - Manik "man-eek" or Deer: understanding through being of service to others, as the Cancer Moon finds support from the Sun and Neptune, is stimulated by Mars, opposed by Pluto, and challenged by Uranus. An emotionally active day beginning with having a sense of harmony within ourselves, then our innermost subconscious fantasies and daydreams confusing reality, to later bringing the desire to work independently from others, and finally brings deep emotions rising to the surface, while people are likely to act hasty and jump to conclusions. October 25th is 13 - Lamat "la-maught" or Star: movement to the next stage through being grateful for abundant relationships, as the Sun trine Neptune is more idealistic and understands a more spiritual level of reality. This increases our sensitivity to the more subtler aspects of the world around us. This alignment favors infusing romance, creativity, and spirituality, so you might want to engage in activities like improv dance, yoga vinyasa like sun salutations, tai chi, working on art, music or any creative project, with the Moon in Cancer finding support from Saturn and Mercury, and merging with Jupiter. The last day of the trecena's emotional wave moves from having a more sober and realistic view of life, to feeling in touch with our emotions and expressing them to others, to finally experiencing good feelings and generosity towards others.

So no matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Wisdom trecena, take some time to be in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment through introspection, meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time to observe the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a human experience.
