Astrology and Mayan Tzolkin for October 24th to November 5th 2015

This is the "Care and feeding of a New World Age" report for Gregorian date of October 24th 2015 for 1 – Caban "kah-ban" or Earth in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, with the Taurus Full Moon, and Mercury entering Scorpio.

October 24th is 1 – Caban "kah-ban" or Earth with the themes of natural rhythms, synchronizing the heart with Mother Earth, inspiration, the powers of creation, earthquakes, ancient wisdom, and flowing with the natural order. The Maya believed that the same energy that is the soul of the heart also resides in the Earth. The day symbol for earth also represents the interconnectedness of our emotions and the Earth’s emotions. Ian Lungold wrote “Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.” Neurophysicists have discovered that our hearts radiate the body’s strongest electromagnetic frequency in a torus field. This field is holographic and arcs out and returns along the axis of the heart and extends from the pelvic floor to the crown of the head. The Earth is also the center of a holographic electromagnetic torus field, as is the solar system and the galaxy. It's interesting to note that because of their holographic nature, there is the belief that there is only one universal torus field, which means our hearts are connected to the Earth, the solar system, the galaxy, and ultimately the universe. It’s fractal, where we don’t have a part, but the whole represented in each of us. These thirteen days are best used to change our patterns to be more heart centered and in balance with our Earth Mother.

Since we begin a new Gregorian month during this trecena, I thought I'd discuss the metaphysics of the upcoming month. November is the eleventh month and with the digits for 2015, when added together we get 10, then we add 1 + 0 to tell us that this is a one month in numerology. Basic numerology reduces numbers to one through nine, so when we think about that arc the 1 represents a time of new beginnings. The numerology in January and February 2016 repeat November and December 2015 with January being a one month and February being a two month. The 10 and the 1 are represented by the Wheel of Fortune and Magician Archetypes in the Tarot cards. The Wheel of Fortune is about prosperity and abundance that comes from being objective, flexible, and creative. To quote Ruth Ross "All prosperity begins in the mind and is dependent only upon the full use of our creative imaginations." The 1 card is the Magician which represents the principle of communication, represented by the god Mercury. Words were originally magic. Another quote to illustrate the Magician Archetype comes from Starhawk, "Language shapes consciousness, and the use of language to shape consciousness is an important branch of magic." So November represents the beginning of a new cycle which comes into being through our communications leading us towards prosperity by being flexible, objective, and creative. This sets powerful new energies in motion that required the numerological nine month of October 2015 to release the old and worn out, whether it's aspects of self, life situations, attitudes that no longer work, or concepts, beliefs, or perceptions that have out grown their usefulness, so in November we can move forward unencumbered.

Before I get into the daily energy for 1 Caban "kah-ban" or Earth, on the 24th all the planets appear to be moving forward from our vantage point on Earth, except Chiron, Uranus, and Neptune which appears to move retrograde or in reverse motion. Remember the themes of retrograde planets are the review the past, re-evaluate, reminisce and we can see these themes being played out. Chiron retrograde in Pisces is about releasing stuck emotional energy, so that we can return to the natural flow of life. Retrograde Chiron has us reviewing our wounds so that they can be released, by having the courage to open our hearts to any fear or pain associated with our past. When Chiron is in Pisces people are willing to sacrifice their individual pain in hopes of finding bliss in Universal consciousness. At its worst this can manifest as folks justifying their victimhood as some form of martyrdom. This should be transcendence and surrender without losing ourselves in the experience. Uranus in Aries retrograde until December 26th. Uranus seeks to shake our very foundation through the unexpected rebellion of the individual. Retrograde Uranus in Aries will have people wanting to hurry the process of getting free. To push the river of revolution whether it be personal or political. Neptune retrograde is seeking transcendence through spiritual experiences. This will be a time to use spiritual practices to keep us grounded as we expand our intuition and consciousness. Both Neptune and Pisces, the sign it rules, tend to be dreamy, imaginative, difficult to nail down due to their qualities of illusion and illumination often without any way to know which is which. They represent compassion and co-dependence, selflessness and loss of self, higher purpose and substance abuse, in their inspiration to transcend the material plane and experience something beyond words and thoughts.

Ok let's look at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena.
October 24th is 1- Caban "kah-ban" or Earth: unity experienced through gratitude for Mother Earth in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, while the Moon in Pisces is opposed Venus, Jupiter, and Mars which moves from pleasant energy for enjoying sensual experiences and rich food with a caution against overindulgence, followed by having feelings of generosity, and finally opposed by Mars which influences people to be more excitable and irritable which can cause problems in our personal lives.

The 25th is 2 – Etznab "etz-nob" or Flint: duality experienced through being introspective, while Venus conjuncts Jupiter which is one of the most agreeable transits, unfortunately it only lasts a day or two. It has a very pleasant effect on people's moods. Many will be more optimistic, confident, happy, lucky, romantic, outgoing and eager. It can also bring folks to indulge themselves and spend money, as self discipline is at a low. This would be a great day to have any type of celebration, and of course with Venus love relationships are favored. Typically, excellent energy for a wedding or a party. Also on the 25th Mercury is opposed by Uranus which is an example of planet octaves with Mercury representing personal thought and communication along with short distance travel and Uranus representing long distance travel, and transpersonal thoughts and communication. There is tension in this opposition as people will think and speak hastily. They may impulsively say things they don’t mean. Important information may be overlooked as folks are too much in a hurry. This may leave them feeling scattered, nervous, and undisciplined. This could also be a time for "brainstorming" as people will feel mentally stimulated where they understand information much more quickly, whatever the experience, it will need to stand the "test of time" before we are clear. As with most transits involving Uranus, this favors new types of adventures and is repelled by the daily mundane routine. Also on the 25th the Aries Moon finds support from Saturn and is challenged by Pluto which shifts from having a sober realistic view of life, to later having the compulsion to act in ways that may not be good for us in the long run.

October 26th is 3 – Cauac "cow-ack" or Storm: taking action through recognizing the gifts in adversity, while the Moon in Aries merges with Uranus and is opposed by Mercury. The days emotional energy moves from people feeling impulsive and acting rashly, with moods changing quickly and unexpectedly, to some feeling a real conflict between feelings and reason and others having fruitful expressions of their deeper awareness either internally or with another.

The 27th  is 4 - Ahau "ah-how" or Sun: stability through honoring the wisdom and memory of our ancestors, while we have the Taurus Full Moon opposing the Sun in Scorpio, in harmony with Neptune, and supported by Pluto. Full moons are a time of tension and this one's about balancing the Scorpio Sun's desire for spiritual and emotional transformation through letting go of what no longer serves us, with the needs of a grounded material world with comfort and stability, represented by the Moon in Taurus, which holds on to things of value. With this lunation sextile Neptune brings greater sensitivity to others' emotions with possible psychic impressions for those who are open. Supported by Pluto brings out intense emotions and stimulating sensitivity, which also favors sexual relationships. Also on the 27th Venus opposes Chiron which brings up the pain of old wounds related to love and what we value to be released and healed.

October 28th is 5 - Imix "e-meesh" or Crocodile: empowerment through nurturing new beginnings, while the Moon in Taurus finds support from Jupiter, Venus, and Mars which begins with feelings of inner and outer equanimity, followed by enjoying pleasant feelings and social interactions, and finally feeling a little more confident than usual with the ability to assert ourselves in a positive manner.
The 29th is 6 – Ik "eek" or Wind: being in the flow through communication, while the Gemini Moon is opposed by Saturn and challenged by Neptune which shifts from feeling lonely and isolated, to later daydreams and fantasies feeling more important than reality.

October 30th is 7 Akbal "awk-bol" or Night: reflection through contemplating the stars, while the Sun trines Neptune, which with Neptune's support of the Sun we are more idealistic and understand a more spiritual level of reality. This increases our sensitivity to the more subtle aspects of the world around us. This is good for spending time alone to engage in activities like meditation, yoga, working of art, music or any creative project. To explore the more spiritual levels of reality from an emotional and intellectual perspective. This great for studying metaphysical or spiritual subjects and looking at your life to consider how you are doing in meeting your needs spiritually and materially. Idealistic romanticism may be a factor in our relationships today. This transit increases sensitivity to the subtle aspects of reality, with people experiencing a flash of ESP or other types of mystical experiences. Also on the 30th the Moon in Gemini is challenged by Jupiter, Venus, and Mars, stimulated by Uranus, and supported by Mercury which brings a lot of emotional stimulus that moves from benevolent and generous feelings for those in our immediate environment, to having pleasant yet restless energy that desires emotional excitement, then having pleasant energy to be with friends and loved ones, followed by people feeling irritable which could lead to needless disputes, and finally being more in touch with our feelings and able to share them with others.

The 31st is 8 Kan "con" or Seed or Lizard: balance through planting seeds and making new connections, with the Cancer Moon finding Support from Neptune and the Sun which shifts from fantasies and daydreams distracting us from accomplishing routine tasks, to having a sense of harmony within ourselves and supports any type of group activity and relationships with the opposite sex.

November 1st is 9 – Chicchan "chee-chan" or Serpent: patience experienced through being flexible, while the Moon in Cancer is opposed by Pluto, in harmony with Jupiter, Venus, and Mars, and challenged by Uranus. The days emotional energy begins with deep emotions rising to the surface, followed by feeling in the flow and having a sense of wholeness, then people are likely to act hasty and jump to conclusions, later wanting to be with friends and the people we love, and finally brings the desire to work independently from others.

The 2nd is 10 – Cimi "key-mee" or Transformation: manifestation through releasing what no longer serves us, while Mercury enters Scorpio, which brings a questioning and probing intellect. That seeks out what is beneath the surface, and puts an emphasis on fields like medicine, science, religion, and the occult. So under this influence folks may feel a greater need to investigate and uncover what previously could not be known. I'd expect communications to be more intense, with an increase in biting sarcasm, until Mercury enters Sagittarius on the 20th. So if we find ourselves engaged in a conversations that require etiquette and politeness such in court or some form of negotiation, we would benefit from being conscious of our delivery as well as our words. Also on the 2nd we have Venus merging with Mars which brings a strong desire for physical passion and sexual experiences. People may be more aggressive in finding partnership. This can also cause arguments with people of the opposite sex. It certainly arouses our creative energy particularly if it has a physical component to the activity, favoring sculpture over water color painting and performing music or theater over writing songs or poetry. Also on the 2nd the Leo Moon is challenged by Mercury and finds support from Saturn, which moves from folks being critical in their communications particularly with the people they have intimate relationships with, to later they settle into a more sober and realistic view of life.

November 3rd is 11 – Manik "man-eek" or Deer: resolution through being of service to others, while the last quarter Moon in Leo is challenged by the Sun and supported by Uranus which shifts from having challenges to following a daily routine to later having the impulse to engage in activities that make us feel more alive.

The 4th is 12 - Lamat "la-maught" or Star or Rabbit: understanding through being grateful for abundant relationships, while Moon in Leo makes no angles and is void of course until moving into Virgo, which does not favor major decisions or purchases, but is good to use for resting to assimilate this latest round of energy and experiences.

November 5th is 13 – Muluc "moo-luke" or Offering: movement to the next stage through appreciating creation, with the Sun sextiles Pluto which empowers us to make changes in our immediate environment and reform the aspects of our lives that have brought us unhappiness over time. Embrace the opportunities on the 5th that can be used for the improvement of the general good. This is good energy for cleaning up a situation that has become confused or disordered, such as getting clear on a difficult personal situation or even cleaning house. This also brings us deeper into our thoughts with a feeling that superficial aspects are no longer adequate. Investigations should be thorough, leaving no stone unturned. Subjects such as psychology, occult, yoga, and other transformative techniques are favored for study under this influence. Also on the 5th the Virgo Moon is challenged by Saturn, in harmony with Mercury, and opposed by Neptune, which moves from people feeling lonely or isolated, then later people feeling chatty and having numerous conservations, and finally folks are emotionally excitable and impulsive.

So no matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Earth trecena, take some time to be in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment through introspection, meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time to observe the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a human experience.
