This
is the "Care and feeding of a New World Age" report for Gregorian
date of
March 18th 2014 for 1 - Eb "eb" or Road in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, with the Sun moving
into Aries for the Equinox, Spring in the northern
hemisphere and Autumn in the southern, and the Aries New Moon.
March
18th 2014 for 1 - Eb "eb" or Road carries
the themes of destiny, guidance, travel, vessel
of time, dew from heaven, abundance, organization, caretaking, empathy, growth,
service to others, the ladder that connects heaven and earth, the life-force
also known as Prana in the Vedic tradition and Chi in the Chinese
culture, harvest, and humility. Ian Lungold
described Road as "sometimes referred to as the sign of Grass, which is
the most bountiful of all life forms but is also the most humble." The
road of life leads us to our true destiny on the spiritual path we all must
travel. This thirteen day period would be a good time to humbly offer to serve
others.
Before I get into the daily energy for 1 - Eb "eb" or Road,
on the 18th all the planets
appear to move forward from our vantage point on Earth except Mars and Saturn, which
appear to move retrograde or in reverse motion.
Mars turned retrograde on March 1st. During this report period
Mars, representing drive and aggression, is in Libra. Mars is in its
detriment in Libra because it is opposite Aries, the sign of Martian rulership,
and is traditionally considered to
have difficulty operating positively in Libra. Because of its
retrograde cycle Mars will spend 8 months in the sign of the scales. Typically Mars spends two months in a sign so
this placement for most of the year is uncomfortable and monotonous. Mars
agitates and in Libra it's about relationships and can lead to social anger.
This may cause us to see an increase in passive aggression. Mars is about drive
and wanting to take action, but in Libra it's likely to be the drive to make
someone else take action. Mars has been in Libra for several
months and I've already seen folks competing for love. They are willing to
fight for a partner. People are becoming aggressive in their quest for
romantic love. Mars is also about sexuality, so retrograde Mars periods are
contraindicated for beginning a satisfying sexual relationship. As much as Mars
is unhappy in Libra, it's also very unhappy retrograde. This is a really
difficult time to access our drive and aggressive energy. Saturn
turned retrograde on March 2nd. Themes of Saturn in Scorpio are loss,
depression, failure, fear, the shadow, betrayal, the stuff that goes deep.
Superficial just won't cut it with Saturn in Scorpio. Saturn retrograde is a
task master that demands we take responsibility to review the scorpionic themes
such as motives, ethics, and intensions. If we have not been clear on these
subjects, we are likely to feel our burden is heavier than the load we had
previously chosen.
This being the Equinox I thought I'd share the technique I learned from
Barbara Hand Clow regarding setting intentions for manifestation over the next
year. In the north the astrological new year begins when the Sun enters 0
degrees Aries. This year that will occur on March 20th. If you live south of
the equator you would implement this technique in September when spring begins
for you. The idea is that we use the seasons to move our intensions through
four stages. In the spring we plant the seeds of our new ideas. During the
Summer Solstice we birth these ideas into a physical form. In the Autumn we
figure out what is working and create balance by weeding out the things that
aren't working or we are no longer interested in. From the Winter Solstice
until the Spring Equinox we reflect on our creations and contemplate the impact
of our intensions on others.
Every spring I write down three intensions. Usually one is about career,
one is about love, and one is about a personal or spiritual goal and I word
them as if they are already manifest. For instance this year one of my three
intensions is "I am so happy and
grateful now that I live comfortably on the resources provided to me for
following my fascinations and sharing my creativity, experiences, and knowledge
with others." I then follow the outline for planting these intensions as
described by BHC in "Alchemy of Nine Dimensions", which is to
visualize the intension happening in my life. So I'm seeing myself researching
the topics I'm interested in and interacting with others by being creative,
which includes writing and playing music along with writing and recording
videos, participating in radio shows, discussing the events and stories that
are my life, and giving readings to help those who invite me to provide
information that may help them better navigate their lives and receiving compensation
for my efforts. Then I place these visualizations between my third eye and hold
them there. Once there is clarity about the images in the 3rd eye I then move
the intension to the back of my skull close to the neck and hold the image
there as if it's being projected on a movie screen until it becomes electrified
and then move to the next scene in the visualization. Once I've completed this
process with the three scenes in the intension I'm trying to manifest, I
release it, and forget about the wish. I have the intensions written down so
that I can check them at different points during the year, particularly at the
changing seasons to move the intension into its next phase. I've found this to
be very effective when it's aligned with the seasons.
Ok let's look
at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena. March 18th 2014 for 1 - Eb
"eb" or Road:
unity experienced through serving
your community, as Venus
sextiles Uranus, the day seeks excitement outside of
our daily routines, stimulates new interactions with people who can fascinate
us, but be aware romance begun under this transit may not be long lasting even
though at this time they seem pleasantly electrifying. Great energy for a fling
with friends or a party. Folks will be more freedom seeking in their
relationships, during this transit that does not favor being clingy,
possessive, or jealous. Allow loved ones more leeway and flexibility, and this
could greatly broaden your understanding of partners and friends, and in doing
so new insights into yourself. Also on the 18th the Moon in Libra
merges with Mars which has people experiencing irritable moods and critical
communications. The 19th is 2 - Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn: duality
experienced through maintaining
the home, with the Scorpio Moon finding support from Mercury and Neptune which
moves from - feeling in touch with our emotions and expressing them
to others to later fantasies and daydreams distracting us from accomplishing
routine tasks. March 20th
is 3 - Ix "eesh" or Jaguar: taking action through enjoying nature, while The Equinox
occurs when the Sun enters the sign of Aries,
Spring
in the northern hemisphere and Autumn in the southern. This is the time when
light and dark are equal. This year's Equinox chart has the Sun virtually unaspected with the exception
of a weak separating trine to Saturn out of sign and almost out of orb. Even
though the Sun's position is why we study the equinox chart, this year the Sun
is completely without allies. It's almost as if this is the emperor at the moment
his subjects become aware that he is unclothed in public. When looking at this
chart cast for Washington DC at 12:58 pm EDT, we see the Sun in the 10th house
of world standing, which implies that the United States will be humiliated
publicly, during the next three months leading up to the Solstice. With Uranus
in the 10th house as well, it's going to be sudden and unexpected, which I
think represents a rogue nation and/or a wildcard individual. Not only that,
the most positive aspect in the chart is a strong sextile from Venus to Uranus,
which implies that the people will cheer the unexpected toppling of the bully
on the playground of the world. Uranus is the key to this equinox chart, as the
head of a t-square with the Jupiter Pluto opposition. The USA equinox chart has
ascendant of 14 degrees Cancer, which is conjunct the USA's natal Sun from July 4th 1776. This also puts
this Jupiter Pluto axis in orb with the ascendant and descendent, with the
emphasis on the 6th and 12th house, the polarity that represents service and
health feeling great tension as Jupiter brings an expansion to completion, self
undoing, and illusion particularly related to the USA, with Pluto bringing a
death to service and health of the citizens. With the Sun applying to the
mid-heaven this is the showdown at high noon. We have Jupiter expanding the
sunrise, but Pluto extinguishing the sunset, with both planets at a 90 degree
square to Uranus in Aries, representing the individual revolutionary. If ever
the United States citizens were going to confront their run amuck and usurped
government, it will be during this Chinese year of the maverick horse. The good
news is there is a grand trine in the chart between Jupiter in Cancer, the Moon
in Scorpio, and Chiron in Pisces, which is also a kite with Pluto in Capricorn
as the tail. Chiron makes this a healing event that influences the next three
months, also because this is the Spring Equinox, its influence will be felt for
the next year regardless of where you live on the planet. I believe that people
all over the world have felt oppressed by governments and by the United States,
and so this transition of power will be felt globally as healing our past
collective wounds. Equinox Pluto is at 13 degrees 24 minutes Capricorn, which
is very tight in its opposition of the USA natal Sun at 13 degrees 18 minutes
Cancer. Venus ruling love but also money dancing with Uranus in this chart,
makes me believe that fortunes could be over turned in the blink of an eye,
which is to be expected with the elite's response of "Let them eat
cake!" when informed that the needs of the masses are unattainable. What's
that new apparatus in the town square? Seems like they're having a sale on
pitchforks and torches. This USA Sun opposition transiting Pluto has never occurred
before in the history of the United States. This is a very significant Equinox,
which places the USA as ground zero but with the ripples encompassing the rest
of the globe. Mercury conjunct Neptune in the Equinox chart might influence imaginations to go overboard into
illusions and delusions, but it also enhances intuition. It may bring confused
thinking and communications, with a temptation toward dishonesty, so it might
be a time to avoid legal agreements and contracts due to the lack of clarity and
the possibility of being misled. From a Human Design
perspective, this is also the first time that Pluto entered the 5th line of the
38th hexagram, just prior to the Equinox and the exact opposition to the USA
Sun and conjunct the USA Earth on March 13th, which is detrimented by
transiting Pluto. The 5th line of the 38th gate is "Alienation: a stage in
opposition when one is totally isolated." Detrimented it's described as
"Alienation experienced as painful confinement that by its very nature
blinds one to the possibility that there are those at some point who may come
to one's aid. The energy for stubbornness is so strong that it is difficult to
recognize that there are others that can help in times of struggle." If

matter where you are on the Earth indicates that we will experience unexpected
changes during the next three months leading up to the Solstice on June 21st.
This will be a time of dramatic new beginnings. Also on the 20th the Moon in
Scorpio finds support from Jupiter, is challenged by Venus, in harmony with
Pluto, and merges with Saturn which begins with feelings of inner and outer
equanimity, then later having pleasant energy to be with friends and loved ones
with experiencing deep emotions on a profound level, and finally wanting to be
alone in our thoughts and feelings. The 21st is 4 - Men "men" or Eagle: stability through seeing from a higher perspective,
with the Sagittarius Moon finding support from the Sun, and challenged by
Mercury and Neptune, which moves from feeling a sense of inner
harmony which is mirrored in the outside world, then later our moods
influencing our ability to think rationally, to finally bringing our dreams
into the day's vibration. March
22nd is 5 - Cib "keeb" or Wisdom: empowerment through introspection, meditation and
forgiveness, while Mercury conjunct Neptune has two different possibilities,
the positive is to be able to express ideas and feelings that are very subtle
and not usually available to our conscious minds, which is wonderful for
artistic expression and exploration of mystical subjects. The negative aspect
would be that imaginations go overboard into illusions and delusions. It may
bring confused thinking and communications, with a temptation toward
dishonesty, so it might be a time to avoid legal agreements and contacts due to
the lack of clarity and the possibility of being misled or deceived. Also on
the 22nd the Moon in Sagittarius finds support from Uranus and harmonizes with
Venus which moves from having the impulse to engage in activities
that make us feel more alive, to later having pleasant energy to be with
friends and loved ones. The 23rd is 6 - Caban "kah-ban" or Earth: being in the flow
through gratitude for Mother Earth, with the
last quarter moon in harmony with Mars and challenged by the Sun, which brings
the desire to work independently from others, then later brings challenges to
following a daily routine.
March
24th is 7 - Etznab "etz-nob" or Flint: reflection through being introspective, with the
Capricorn Moon in harmony with Neptune and Mercury, opposed by Jupiter,
challenged by Uranus, and merging with Pluto, which begins with being
very sensitive to the moods of others, then being very social and conservative, later feelings
of generosity, followed by people are likely to act hasty and jump to
conclusions, and finally we have more intense moods rising to the surface from
deep in our psyches. The 25th is 8 Cauac
"cow-ack" or Storm: balance
through recognizing the gifts in adversity,
while the Moon in Capricorn harmonizes with Saturn and is challenged by Mars, which shifts from realistic
expectations through being calm and reflective, to later with the potential for
people to be irritable and have needless disputes. March 26th is 9 -
"ah-how" : patience experienced through honoring the wisdom and memory of our ancestors, with Mercury trine Jupiter as great energy for making
plans for the future from an overview perspective. This transit does influence
us to take the easy way out and avoid difficult intellectual and mental
problems. Mercury supported by Jupiter is good for business dealings and signing
contracts, as we find our minds are sharper to see opportunities that normally
are overlooked. This is optimistic and promotes positive thinking and studying
subjects that deal with high level thought such as law, philosophy, religion. Also
in the 26th the Aquarius Moon harmonizes with the Sun and Uranus which shifts
from feeling balance between our inner and outer worlds to later pleasant yet
restless energy that desires emotional excitement. The 27th is 10 - Imix
"e-meesh" or Crocodile: manifestation through nurturing new beginnings, with the
Moon in Aquarius merging with Venus, challenged by Saturn, and finding support
from Mars, which moves from cheerful, warm, gregarious, and wanting
to go out and socialize, to later people feeling lonely or isolated, and finally which
brings the energy for
asserting ourselves in a positive manner and standing our ground if necessary. March
28th is 11 - Ik "eek" or Wind: resolution through communication, while Mercury sextiles Pluto which loves the mysterious
and wants to know what cannot be known. Our minds are active in penetrating
below the surface in a search for core knowledge and real knowledge in our
search for truth. This is great energy for studying psychology, astrology, occult
subjects, and healing techniques that are aimed at regeneration. Folks may be
certain of their "truths" and engage in trying to convince others who
are also certain of their personal truth, so this pairing might be better to
focus on our own investigation and save persuading others for another day. Also
on the 28th the Pisces Moon merges with Neptune and Mercury, finds support from
Jupiter, and harmonizes with Pluto, which moves us from feelings of empathy for
those around us, including the possibility of clairvoyance and telepathic
experiences for those of us who are sensitive by nature, to later feelings of
inner and outer equanimity, then being very sensitive to the moods of others,
and finally positive energy for integrating our thoughts and moods. The 29th is
12 - Akbal "awk-bol" or Night: understanding through contemplating the stars, while Venus trines Mars and squares
Saturn. Venus finding support from Mars can have a variety of effects,
most of which are favorable. This brings the energy to be assertive without
offending others as folks appreciate directness. This brings a nice balance
between your need to be an individual with personal wants and needs, and your
need to relate with others. Whenever there is contact between Venus and Mars
there is the likelihood of an aroused sex drive. People are more likely to be
charming and agreeable. It brings the concern that a partner is enjoying the
relationship as well, which fulfills an important requirement of a successful
sexual connection. A relationship begun at this time has a good chance of
lasting, but even if it is a short term liaison, they are usually satisfying
and without bitterness at the time of parting. Which should make for an
interesting day with
Venus square Saturn which can be a day of having
difficulty relating to others, feeling cool, reserved, isolated... Many will be
reevaluating what they are getting out of their relationships as compared to
what they are putting in. If you feel loneliness or depression on the 29th,
just realize that this too shall pass. Overall I think these two transits will
balance each other out so the highs are not too high and the lows are not too
low. Also on the 29th Mercury conjunct Chiron is likely to increase dialogue
regarding past wounds and future healing, in Pisces it will probably have some
mystical or spiritual quality regarding releasing through surrender of
something that no longer serves us. Also on the 29th the Moon
in Pisces finds support from Saturn which settles into a more sober and
realistic view of life. March 30th is 13 - Kan
"con" or Seed
or Lizard: movement to the next stage through planting seeds and making new
connections, and the second New Moon of the month also known as the Black Moon, this time in the sign of Aries, as it merges with the
Sun and Uranus, and is challenged by Jupiter and Pluto. Aries illuminates new
beginnings, restlessness, impulsivity, impatience, the self and courage. Moon
conjunct Uranus has people feeling impulsive and acting rashly, with moods
changing quickly and unexpectedly. Moon square Jupiter brings benevolent and
generous feelings for those in our immediate environment, and square Pluto
influences folks to have the compulsion to act in ways that may not be good for
us in the long run.
New Moons bring the opportunity to set an intension for manifestation on the
following full moon. Look to the house of your astrology chart that contains 10
degrees Aries to consider what area of your life is being activated by this new
moon. For me that would be my eleventh house of hopes and dreams but also
friends and groups, so I would set an intension related to using this energy.
If you were able to use February to let go of the past relationships,
situations, and beliefs that no longer serve you, this New Moon in Aries is
calling you to embrace your true self and move forward in new directions
unencumbered. With Uranus, Jupiter, and Pluto acting on this lunation, this
change is likely to unexpected, expansive, and empowering.
So no
matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Road trecena, take some
time to be in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a sunrise or
sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment through
introspection, meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is a
blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the
performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time to observe
the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a
human experience.
