This is the "Care and feeding
of a New World Age" report for Gregorian date of August 20th 2015 for 1
- Eb "eb" or Road in the Mayan Tzolkin
calendar, with the Sun entering Virgo,
Mercury entering Libra, and the Pisces Full Moon.
August 20th is 1
- Eb "eb" or Road carries the themes of
destiny, guidance, travel, vessel of time, dew from heaven, abundance,
organization, caretaking, empathy, growth, service to others, the ladder that
connects heaven and earth, the life-force also known as Prana in the Vedic
tradition and Chi in
the Chinese culture, harvest, and humility. Ian Lungold
described Road as "sometimes referred to as the sign of Grass, which is
the most bountiful of all life forms but is also the most humble." The
road of life leads us to our true destiny on the spiritual path we all must
travel. This thirteen day period would be a good time to humbly offer to serve
others.
Since we begin a
new Gregorian month during this trecena, I thought I'd discuss the metaphysics
of the upcoming month. September is the ninth month and with the digits for
2015, when added together we get 17, then we add 1 + 7 to tell us that this is
a seventeen/eight month in numerology. Basic numerology reduces numbers to one
through nine, so when we think about that arc the eight represents a time of
picking up the pace as we are preparing to complete the cycle next month. This
can also bring revisions to financial situations, businesses, investments, and
industry. The seventeen/eight combination is represented by the Star and the
Justice/Adjustment archetypes in the Tarot cards, which is about having our
self-sufficiency and talents recognized by others, while finding balance in our
path to know ourselves. This also brings the energy that what is begun must be
completed. This quote from Walt Whitman represents the Star archetype, "We
convince by our presence," and this offering from Ralph Blum from Book of
Runes represents the Adjustment/Justice archetype, "Know thyself, Nothing
in excess. The Self is required to balance the self." So September
represents moving toward completion in October, as June brought us new options,
July brought us further down the path regarding the situations that lead to a
new life, we began a time of evolution in August which was mostly hidden, then
in September the pace increases with the solar and lunar eclipses, and Mercury
retrograde in Libra, to review the information and actions that occurred during
the past 7 months. In October we complete the numerological cycle.
Before I get into the daily energy for 1 - Eb "eb" or Road,
on the 20th all the planets appear
to be moving forward from our vantage point on Earth, except Venus, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto which appears to move retrograde or in reverse
motion. Remember the themes of retrograde planets are the review the past,
re-evaluate, reminisce and we can see these themes being played out. Venus retrograde reviews not only our social and romantic
relationships, but also what we value, so this is a period where people with
assess what they are attracted to including possessions and wealth. Venus began
its retrograde in Virgo which brought the planet
of esthetics, romance, and money to remain in the sign of the Virgin for two
weeks, and backed into Leo on July 31st. Venus is retrograde will be the time when we will notice
events related to our relationships and/or money that shifts our thinking to
prepare us for the change we will implement after Venus is direct. Often we
reconnect with old friends and lovers, and repair ailing relationship during
Venus retrograde.
Chiron retrograde in Pisces is about releasing
stuck emotional energy, so that we can return to the natural flow of life.
Retrograde Chiron has us reviewing our wounds so that they can be released, by
having the courage to open our hearts to any fear or pain associated with our
past. When Chiron is in Pisces people are willing to sacrifice their individual
pain in hopes of finding bliss in Universal consciousness. At its worst this
can manifest as folks justifying their victimhood as some form of martyrdom.
This should be transcendence and surrender without losing ourselves in the
experience. Uranus in Aries retrograde until December 26th. Uranus seeks to
shake our very foundation through the unexpected rebellion of the individual.
Retrograde Uranus in Aries will have people wanting to hurry the process of
getting free. To push the river of revolution whether it be personal or political.
Neptune retrograde
is seeking transcendence through spiritual experiences. This will be a time to
use spiritual practices to keep us grounded as we expand our intuition and
consciousness. Both Neptune and Pisces, the sign it rules, tend to be dreamy,
imaginative, difficult to nail down due to their qualities of illusion and
illumination often without any way to know which is which. They represent
compassion and co-dependence, selflessness and loss of self, higher purpose and
substance abuse, in their inspiration to transcend the material plane and
experience something beyond words and thoughts. When Pluto,
the planet of transformation through a death and rebirth cycle, is retrograde,
which is about reviewing the past, and releasing anything from the past that is
a burden to our new path. Pluto in Capricorn is determined in exposing the
darkness, destroying the old order, so that we can rise up like the Phoenix
from the ashes to soar again. Capricorn is about large structures which
includes banks, governments, corporations, and religions. Pluto is in Capricorn
until 2023 where it is destroying and regenerating the structures that are the
foundation of our societies represented by Capricorn. This is a time of a
cosmic course correction for the entire planet. We cannot continue to harm
Mother Earth for the economic gain of a few. It is the resistance to Pluto's
lesson of letting go of the past, that brings tragedy and pain.
Ok let's look at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena.
August 20th and
1 – Eb "eb" or Road:
unity experienced through serving your
community in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar,
with Mercury opposed by Chiron can bring a greater focus in our thinking
regarding issues that require release to promote healing and can take us more
deeply into our past wounds to allow more organized insights that seek
resolution. We may feel uncomfortable and unsettled as old emotions come to the
surface in our conscious minds so they can be healed. Also on the 20th
the Scorpio Moon harmonizes with Jupiter, is challenged by Mars, and supported
by Neptune which moves from feeling
in the flow and having a sense of wholeness, followed by people feeling
irritable which could lead to needless disputes, and finally our innermost subconscious fantasies and
daydreams confusing reality, which may not be great for accomplishing much work.
The
21st is
2 – Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn: duality
experienced through maintaining the home, while the Sun squares Saturn
which has people feeling unlucky and brings up issues that were difficult to
handle but the effect doesn't last more than a few days. It really brings up
two questions. What do you owe others? and what do you owe yourself? This is a
conflict between self gratification and duty to others. This tension between
two poles may seem limiting and depressing, as we want to break out of this
rut, but find that the restrictions are holding us back from being ourselves.
Folks will not want to go to work or school or interact with people they prefer
not associate with. This energy is good for introspection and finding solitude.
It can also bring resentments as obstacles interfere with our wishes to do what
we want. Under this influence people make assumptions without checking the
facts, which is not favorable for relationships with authority figures. The
best use of this transit is to channel the energy into self discipline. Often
others are not holding us back, but we are projecting our internal restraint
outwards onto people in our immediate environment. This is a low physical and
psychological energy transit, so you may feel the weight of the world is to
heavy. It may also bring up questions that we have been avoiding answering and
negative thoughts. This transit shows our vulnerabilities and weaknesses, and
gives us an idea about what we can work on to gain greater confidence. Also on the 21st
the Moon in Scorpio harmonizes with Pluto having deep emotions finding their way to the surface and felt on
a profound level.
August 22nd is 3 – Ix "eesh" or Jaguar: taking
action through enjoying nature, while the first
quarter Moon harmonizes with Mercury, merges with Saturn, and is challenged by
the Sun and Jupiter which begins with people feeling chatty and
having numerous conservations, followed by wanting to be alone in our thoughts and feelings, then later we
encounter challenges to our daily routines, and finally benevolent and generous
feelings for those in our immediate environment.
The 23rd is 4 - Men
"men" or Eagle: stability through seeing from a higher perspective, with the Sun enters Virgo
which begins our transition to the next season finishing up Summer in the north
and Winter in the south. This is much more modest, practical, reserved energy
than the Leo energy of the past month. We are more interested in the mundane
details and getting organized. Traditionally Virgo is ruled by Mercury, but I
agree with Barbara Hand Clow that Chiron, the wounded healer, is the modern
ruler of the sign associated with health. This should bring a shift to more
focus on organization, self improvement, criticism, and service. Speaking of
the wounded healer, Mars trines Chiron on the 23rd, which brings courage and
action to release the past and allow healing. Also on the 23rd the Sagittarius Moon
is challenged by Neptune and supported by Mars which shifts from bringing our dreams into the day's vibration to later feeling a little more confident than usual with
the ability to assert ourselves in a positive manner.
August 24th is 5 - Cib "keeb" or Wisdom:
empowerment through introspection, meditation and
forgiveness, while the Moon in Sagittarius finds support from Venus and Uranus, and is
challenged by Mercury which begins with enjoying pleasant feelings and social interactions, followed by having
the impulse to engage in activities that make us feel more alive, and finally folks
being critical in their communications particularly with the people they have
intimate relationships with.
The 25th is 6 – Caban "kah-ban" or Earth:
being in the flow through gratitude for
Mother Earth, while Capricorn Moon is supported by the Sun and Jupiter,
harmonizes with Neptune, and merges with Pluto, which moves from feeling a sense of inner harmony which is mirrored in the
outside world, then later people having a pleasant sense of wellbeing, followed
by being very sensitive to the moods of others, and finally we have more
intense moods rising to the surface from deep in our psyches.
August
26th is 7 – Etznab
"etz-nob" or Flint: reflection through being introspective, with Mercury sextile Saturn which is great for
constructive criticism that comes from being able to see what can be improved
in our surrounding environment. We are very conscious of flaws, including our
own, so we can use our critical eye to what should be changed to bring improvement.
This can be very serious in its pursuit of betterment, make sure your honoring
what is positive, so not to get overwhelmed by the many imperfections that are
in view with this transit. Older people may serve as teachers and mentors at
this time. This is nice energy for working carefully on any mental task from a
place of concentration and precision, whereas activities that require a great
scope of vision may be more difficult. This is about the details, rather than
the overall pattern. Difficulty seeing the forest for the trees. This is
balanced out by the Sun merging with Jupiter in Virgo. Also on the 26th the Sun conjuncts Jupiter which is very good energy both physically and
psychologically. It's very optimistic and expansive. People will be more open
minded, so it might be a good day to study and understand subjects that
normally seem beyond our understanding. The only caution I see for this transit
is to avoid being arrogant, domineering or excessive, as those are the negative
aspects of the day. Mostly this is very positive and promotes future growth. Also on the 26th the
Moon in Capricorn is challenged by Uranus which can have folks acting hasty and jumping to conclusions
that may not be correct.
The 27th is 8 Cauac
"cow-ack" or Storm: balance through recognizing the gifts in adversity, while Mercury enters Libra which will be a very long stay,
due to turning retrograde in the sign of the scales, as it does not move into
Scorpio until November 2nd. In Libra Mercury is about rational balanced
thinking and communication. People will be more inclined to make decisions by
listening to the pros and cons. Fairness is important while Mercury is in
Libra. Sometimes this weighting of options turns into indecision. Mercury is
social in Libra and does not wish to stir up controversy, so I'd expect to have
more friendly and possibly sympathetic conversations with others over the next
66 days. Folks are more likely to speak tactfully, seek peaceful solutions, and
diplomacy regarding relationships. I think Mercury, particularly when it
retrogrades could bring revision to the agreements, treaties, and contacts.
Also on the 27th, Mercury will cross the threshold of 1 degree Libra, where it
will eventually turn direct after its retrograde cycle representing the
beginning of the shadow time period where we receive information about needing
to adjust our direction that will be implemented after Mercury turns direct. Also
on the 27th the Capricorn Moon harmonizes with Saturn and finds support from
Mercury which shifts from wanting
to be alone in our thoughts and feelings to later feeling in touch with our emotions and
expressing them to others.
August 28th is 9 - : patience experienced through "ah-how"honoring the wisdom and memory of our ancestors, with the
Aquarius Moon opposed by Mars and Venus, and stimulated by Uranus, which moves
from people to be more excitable and irritable which
can cause problems in our personal lives, then later having pleasant energy for
enjoying sensual experiences and rich food with a caution against
overindulgence, and finally positive yet restless feelings craving emotional
excitement to do something outside the daily routine.
The
29th is
is 10 – Imix "e-meesh" or
Crocodile: manifestation through nurturing
new beginnings, with
we have the Pisces Full Moon
which is a more gentile full moon, although
there are some very powerful planetary alignments on the days following this
lunation. Pisces represents the surrender to spirit in the emotional realm to
be balanced with the practical aspects of living in the physical world. This
moon leads to simplicity and attunement to what really matters. Are you happy
with the results, for what you have sown over the past six months? The
lunation is challenged by Saturn (out of sign), opposed by Jupiter along with
the Sun, and merges with Neptune. Square Saturn which can have people feeling lonely or isolated. Opposed by Jupiter brings feelings of
generosity. Its merged with Neptune, the ruling planet of Pisces, which brings
feelings of empathy for those around us, including the possibility of clairvoyance
and telepathic experiences for those of us who are sensitive by nature. Full
moons bring tension between the Moon, in Pisces pulling us to explore
otherworldly realms, and the Sun, in Virgo which wants a grounded and organized
way of being in this world. The Sun conjunct Jupiter, the traditional ruler of
Pisces, is still in orb, as the Moon conjuncts Neptune the modern ruler of
Pisces.
August 30th is 11 – Ik "eek" or Wind: resolution through communication,
while the Moon in Pisces is in harmony with Pluto
which influences folks to experience deep emotions on a profound level.
The
31st is 12 - Akbal "awk-bol" or Night: understanding
through contemplating the stars, with the Sun
opposes Neptune which brings considerable confusion
and uncertainty, but it also confers a sensitivity to others and their needs,
which can lead to new awareness. This is likely to be a day where people may
just agree with others to avoid any type of confrontation. It's best to avoid
playing the victim or martyr role, if you feel you can't assert yourself under
this influence, it's a good idea to delay any disagreements until you've given
yourself time to reflect on the issue. This is also a time to be aware that
people may be being out right deceptive, making it a poor time to negotiate any
contractual agreements. This transit is positive for experiencing more depth in
spiritual connections with a partner, with the potential for union of souls. Also on the 31st the Moon finds Support from
Saturn and is opposed by Mercury which shifts from having a sober realistic view of life, to later some
feeling a real conflict between feelings and reason and others having fruitful
expressions of their deeper awareness either internally or with another.
September 1st is 13
- Kan "con" or Seed or Lizard: movement to the
next stage through planting seeds and making new
connections,
with Venus conjuncts Mars which brings a strong desire for physical passion and
sexual experiences. People may be more aggressive in finding partnership. This
can also cause arguments with people of the opposite sex. It certainly arouses
our creative energy particularly if it has a physical component to the
activity, favoring sculpture over water color painting and performing music or
theater over writing songs or poetry. Also on the
1st the
Aries Moon is challenged by Pluto, supported by Venus and Mars, and merges with
Uranus which moves from having the compulsion to
act in ways that may not be good for us in the long run, then later enjoying
social interactions with others, while bringing the energy for asserting
ourselves in a positive manner, and finally people feeling impulsive and acting
rashly, with moods changing quickly and unexpectedly.
So no matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Road trecena, take
some time to be in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a
sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment
through introspection, meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is
a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the
performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time to observe
the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a
human experience.
