This is the "Care and feeding
of a New World Age" report for Gregorian date of June 29th 2015 and 1 - Ahau "ah-how" or
Sun in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, with the Capricorn Full Moon, and Mercury
entering Cancer.
June 29th is 1 - Ahau "ah-how" or
Sun carries the themes of honoring
ancestors, flowers, light, ascension, co-creation, unconditional love,
enlightenment, opening up to new possibilities and beginnings, wholeness, and
the awakening to miracles. I love that flowers is one of the symbols of Ahau,
because the name Patanjali, the author of the Yoga Sutras, means one who casts
flowers through time, which a quality of Ahau is the ancestors casting their
wisdom through time. Ahau is considered to be one of the most sacred of days,
because life would not exist on the Earth without the warmth and light of the
Sun. Being both a wave and a particle, light transcends form. This 13 day
period is about shining light on any uncertainty, honoring our ancestors, and
taking time to purify our light to heal our spirits and Mother Earth.
Since we begin a new Gregorian month during
this trecena, I thought I'd discuss the metaphysics of the upcoming month. July is the seventh
month and with the digits for 2015, when added together we get 15, then we add
1 + 5 to tell us that this is a fifteen/six month in numerology. Basic
numerology reduces numbers to one through nine, so when we think about that arc
the six represents a time of review after gaining insights during the five
month. It's about finding balance by sorting out to determine what we want to
keep and what has fulfilled its purpose and can be released. These qualities
are shared by the sign of Virgo, which is the placement of Venus from the 18th
to the 31st. The six month wants resolutions and harmony. The
fifteen/six combination is represented by the Devil and the Lovers in the Tarot
cards, which is about facing our bedevilments or problems with tenacity and
humor to hone ourselves in relationship to the other. This quote from Bennett
W. Goodspeed represents the Devil archetype, "The difference between a
comedy and a tragedy is that in a comedy the characters figure out reality in
time to do something about it." This offering from Anais Nin is helpful in
understanding the Lovers, "The value of the personal relationship to all
things is that it creates intimacy, and intimacy creates understanding, and
understanding creates love." So July represents a new series of events and
a shift in a new direction on many levels including facing our inner shadow and
sharing our light with others. With Saturn in Scorpio, also mirrors the tarot,
to align action with responsibility, transparency and ethics.
Before I get into the daily energy for 1 – Ahau
"ah-how" or Sun, on the 29th all the planets appear to be moving forward
from our vantage point on Earth, except Saturn, Chiron, Neptune and Pluto which
appear to move retrograde or in reverse motion. Remember the themes of
retrograde planets are the review the past, re-evaluate, reminisce and we can
see these themes being played out. Saturn
retrograde reviews our commitments, plans, what we do for work, and structures
of our lives. This one is a little more complicated than most because Saturn
begins its apparent reverse movement in Sagittarius, but eventually backs into
the final degrees of Scorpio. Saturn retrograde is a task master that demands
we take responsibility to review, our beliefs while in Sagittarius and our
ethics while in Scorpio.
Chiron retrograde in Pisces is about releasing
stuck emotional energy, so that we can return to the natural flow of life.
Retrograde Chiron has us reviewing our wounds so that they can be released, by
having the courage to open our hearts to any fear or pain associated with our
past. When Chiron is in Pisces people are willing to sacrifice their individual
pain in hopes of finding bliss in Universal consciousness. At its worst this
can manifest as folks justifying their victimhood as some form of martyrdom.
This should be transcendence and surrender without losing ourselves in the
experience. Neptune retrograde is seeking transcendence through spiritual experiences. This
will be a time to use spiritual practices to keep us grounded as we expand our
intuition and consciousness. Both Neptune and Pisces, the sign it rules, tend
to be dreamy, imaginative, difficult to nail down due to their qualities of
illusion and illumination often without any way to know which is which. They
represent compassion and co-dependence, selflessness and loss of self, higher
purpose and substance abuse, in their inspiration to transcend the material
plane and experience something beyond words and thoughts. When Pluto, the planet of transformation through a death
and rebirth cycle, is retrograde, which is about reviewing the past, and
releasing anything from the past that is a burden to our new path. Pluto in
Capricorn is determined in exposing the darkness, destroying the old order, so
that we can rise up like the Phoenix from the ashes to soar again. Capricorn is
about large structures which includes banks, governments, corporations, and
religions. Pluto is in Capricorn until 2023 where it is destroying and
regenerating the structures that are the foundation of our societies
represented by Capricorn. This is a time of a cosmic course correction for the
entire planet. We cannot continue to harm Mother Earth for the economic gain of
a few. It is the resistance to Pluto's lesson of letting go of the past, that
brings tragedy and pain.
Ok let's look at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena.
June 29th is 1 - Ahau "ah-how" or Sun: unity
experienced through honoring the wisdom and memory
of our ancestors in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, while Venus trines Uranus which wants social experiences and
romantic encounters to be outside the norm, unusual, and surprising. This is a
great day to try something out of the ordinary. The daily routine will just not
cut it under this influence. Folks are looking to do something stimulating in
their social lives and relationships. A day when there may be unique encounters
and love relationships that begin under this influence are exciting, electric,
unstable and short, but have a strong potential to change our lives. This could
also bring unconventional agreements in our relationship such as agreeing to
change from an exclusive coupling to experimenting with having other lovers.
Experiencing different types of entertainment is also favored by this transit,
by enjoying music, art, or theater that is outside your normal choices. Also
on the 29th the Sagittarius
Moon is challenged by Neptune which makes daydreams and fantasies feel more important than reality.
The 30th is 2 – Imix
"e-meesh" or Crocodile: duality experienced through nurturing new
beginnings, while the Moon
in Sagittarius Moon is opposed by Mercury, and
supported by Uranus, Venus and Jupiter, which shifts from some feeling a real conflict between feelings
and reason and others having fruitful expressions of their deeper awareness
either internally or with another, then later brings a desire for emotional
excitement to engage in activities outside our daily routine, followed by enjoying
social interactions with others, and finally having feelings of inner and outer
equanimity.
July 1st is 3 – Ik "eek" or Wind: taking action through
communication, while we have the Capricorn Full Moon at 9
degrees 55 minutes, almost 10 degrees Capricorn, opposing Mars and the Sun in
Cancer, in harmony with Neptune and merging with Pluto. Full moons are a time of tension as the Sun
in Cancer is about balancing security, home and family, with the Moon in
Capricorn, representing work and productivity. The
day is a mix of the high level of energy that we have in a full moon, with the themes of,
opposed by Mars; influencing people to be more excitable and irritable, which
can cause problems in our personal lives. Sextile Neptune; brings greater
sensitivity to others' emotions with possible psychic impressions for those who
are open. Conjunct Pluto; we have more intense moods rising to the surface from
deep in our psyches. Many people go out and howl on the Full Moon, but this one
has so much sensitivity to others and unconscious deep feelings coming to the
surface, that this might be a good lunation to spend alone or with someone you
know very well, as the opposition to Mars brings unsettled emotions with a
strong likelihood of miscommunications that could lead to conflict. The Moon in
Capricorn can be depressing, with Mars, it could include anger. The saving
grace of this Full Moon could be Venus conjunct Jupiter, which brings expansion
to the themes of love and money. Folks with planets near 10 degrees of Aries,
Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn may want to approach this lunation with caution.
For those who have planets well aspected by the Venus Jupiter conjunction, at
21 degrees Leo, may experience some protection during this Full Moon. Also on
the 1st Venus conjunct Jupiter
which is one of the most agreeable transits, unfortunately it only lasts a day.
It has a very pleasant effect on people's moods. Many will be more optimistic,
happy, outgoing and eager. It can also bring folks to indulge themselves and
spend money, as self discipline is at a low. This would be a great day to have
any type of celebration, and of course with Venus love relationships are
favored. Typically, excellent energy for a wedding or a party. Also on the 1st the
Sun trines Neptune
which with Neptune's support of the Sun, we are more idealistic and understand
a more spiritual level of reality. This increases our sensitivity to the more
subtler aspects of the world around us. This is good for spending time alone to
engage in activities like meditation, yoga, working of art, music or any
creative project. To explore the more spiritual levels of reality from an
emotional and intellectual perspective. This great for studying metaphysical or
spiritual subjects and looking at your life to consider how you are doing in
meeting your needs spiritually and materially. Idealistic romanticism may be a
factor in our relationships today. Particularly in combination with Venus
conjunct Jupiter happening at the same time, we need to remain grounded in seeing
our loved ones are ordinary humans. This transit increases sensitivity to the
subtler aspects of reality, with people experiencing a flash of ESP or other
types of mystical experiences.
The 2nd is 4 - Akbal "awk-bol"
or Night: stability through contemplating the stars, while Mercury sextiles Uranus, which brings new discoveries
and new people into our lives with an overall
sense of excitement and innovation as Mercury interacts with its higher octave
planet Uranus. Flexibility is helpful to experience this transit with its
excitement and interest, if you find this disruptive you may want to examine
your attitude regarding deviating from the preordained plan of the day. This is
good for looking at old problems, that have troubled you in the past, with
fresh eyes. Challenges may be approached as new puzzles to solve as thinking
becomes more inspired. Not a day where you will be content to follow your usual
routine, so leave some room for spontaneity with new ideas and experiences
being the reward of going with the flow. Also on the 2nd the Moon in
Capricorn merges with Pluto and is challenged by Uranus which moves from having more intense moods rising to the surface
from deep in our psyches, followed by folks acting hasty and jumping to
conclusions that may not be correct.
July 3rd is 5 - Kan "con" or Seed or Lizard: empowerment
through planting seeds and making new connections, while Mercury sextiles Jupiter,
which brings our attention to the larger issues in life. Many will find their
minds wandering to thoughts about the future, as our hopes and wishes are more
important under this influence. This is also good for thinking about the
overall patterns in our lives. This is optimistic and brings a positive
attitude. This is also good for business negotiations, contract discussions,
and commercial transactions, as well as any dealing with the law. Travel also
benefits so this would be good energy to start a trip, or perhaps research some
far off place you wish to visit. Religious and philosophical subjects seem more
attractive for investigation at this time. Also on the 3rd
the
Capricorn Moon harmonizes with Saturn bringing realistic expectations through being calm and reflective.
The 4th is 6 – Chicchan
"chee-chan" or Serpent: being in the flow through being flexible, as the Aquarius Moon is stimulated by Uranus and opposed
by Jupiter which shifts from having pleasant yet
restless feelings craving emotional excitement to do something outside the
daily routine, to later experiencing feelings of generosity.
July
5th is 7 - Cimi
"key-mee" or Transformation: reflection through releasing what no
longer serves us, which brings the second occurrence Mercury sextile Venus bringing mental ease for solving
problems. Mercury in harmony with Venus also brings a light hearted energy to
the day. This is nice for using our minds for leisure, like reading for
pleasure, going to an art show or concert, playing a game you enjoy, or just
talking with friends. This is a day where we get a break from the heavier
concerns of life. This is also excellent for communicating our feelings to the
people we love. So tell someone you love them today. Express your appreciation
and gratitude and I suspect it will come back to you in kind. Also an excellent
day to appreciate beauty, so you may want to put yourself in a beautiful
environment whether it's a home, museum, or a day in the country. Also on the 5th
the Moon finds support from Mercury and Mars, is opposed by Venus, and
challenged by Saturn. The day begins with being more in touch with our feelings and able to share them with
others, followed by pleasant energy for enjoying sensual experiences and rich
food with a caution against overindulgence, then later people feeling lonely or
isolated, and finally feeling a little more confident than usual with the
ability to assert ourselves in a positive manner.
The 6th is 8man-eek" : balance
through being of service to others, with the Sun opposing Pluto
coloring the day's energy, which can cause rather intense encounters with
others or circumstances that expose something that was hidden or that we chose
to ignore, for the purpose of transforming an old worn out pattern that can no
longer serve us. This indicates power struggles with others, particularly
people in authority. This day really has the hallmark of relationship
difficulties that could possibly lead to breakups. You may want to keep that in
mind rather than trying to repair the damage of today's words or deeds later on
down the road. Overall we are talking about transformation on some level as a
shift is required away from doing things the same old way. The Cancer Capricorn
axis will bring tension related to balancing home and family with career and
responsibilities in the outer world. This shift requires a major transformation
where outer power reflects inner power, where transparency and integrity are
key. Also
on the 6th the Pisces Moon merges with Neptune, finds support from the Sun, and
harmonizes with Pluto, which shifts from feel empathy for those around us, including the possibility of
clairvoyance and telepathic experiences for those of us who are sensitive by
nature, followed by feeling balance between our inner and outer worlds, and
finally having deep emotions finding their way to the surface and felt on a
profound level.
July 7th is 9 - Lamat "la-maught" or Star or Rabbit: patience
experienced through being grateful for abundant relationships, while the Moon in Pisces is challenged by Mercury and
supported by Saturn which moves from folks being
critical in their communications particularly with the people they have
intimate relationships with, to later having a sober realistic view of life.
The 8th is 10 – Muluc
"moo-luke" or Offering: manifestation through appreciating creation,
while Mercury enters Cancer after being
in the Gemini for almost 7 weeks as part of the retrograde cycle. While in the
sign of the Crab, people will be communicating and thinking more about home and
family from the perspective of security. Also on the 8th
Mars trines Neptune which is good for using our energy
in activities that benefit others rather than helping ourselves. This can also
inspire us to seek spiritual knowledge about how we relate to others and the
universe. Neptune balances the usual high physical energy that we normally have
with a Mars transit, and actually may leave us feeling like doing very little.
This makes us more conscious of the needs and wants of others. This is a good
time to look at our lives and the world more objectively, without judgment, due
to Neptune softening Mars' desires with detachment. Folks are more likely to do
charitable work with poor or disadvantaged people, with a caution against
seeing yourself as a savior to those who are worse off. This transit favors
spiritual practices, creativity, and compassion. Also on the 8th
the the last quarter Moon in Aries is challenged by Mars, Pluto, and the Sun,
and merges with Uranus which shifts from people feeling irritable which could lead to needless disputes,
followed by having the compulsion to
act in ways that may not be good for us in the long run, then later we
encounter challenges to our daily routines, and finally people are feeling impulsive and acting rashly,
with moods changing quickly and unexpectedly.
July
9th is 11 – Oc
"awk" or Dog: resolution through enjoying family and friends, while
the Moon is supported by Jupiter and Venus, and harmonizes with Mercury which
moves from people having a pleasant
sense of wellbeing, followed by enjoying pleasant feelings and social
interactions, and finally people feeling chatty and having numerous
conservations.
The
10th is 12 - Chuen "shoe-in" or Monkey:
understanding through creating something new, while the Taurus Moon harmonizes with Neptune and Mars and
is supported by Pluto which shifts from being very
sensitive to the moods of others, followed by having the desire to work
independently from others, and finally feeling on a deeper more intense level
under the influence of Pluto.
July 11th is 13
- Eb "eb" or Road : movement to the next
stage serving your community, while the Moon in Taurus in harmony with Sun,
challenged by Jupiter and Venus, and opposed by Saturn, with the day begins
with feelings of inner and
outer equanimity, followed benevolent and generous feelings for those in our immediate
environment, the later having pleasant energy for being with the others we want to know better,
and finally feeling lonely and isolated.
So no matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Sun trecena, take
some time to be in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a
sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment
through introspection, meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is
a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the
performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time to observe
the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a
human experience.
