This is the "Care and feeding
of a New World Age" report for Gregorian date of July 12th 2015 for 1 – Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn,
with the
Cancer New Moon, Venus entering Virgo and the Sun and Mercury entering Leo.
July 12th for 1 – Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn
carries the themes of growth and sustenance, journeying in new
directions, photosynthesis, protectors of the home and family, the World Tree
energy that connects heaven and earth, peace, harmony, and order, strength in
being flexible, the crusader or champion, and sharing with others. Quetzalcoatl
the god-king Feathered Serpent was prophesized to return in the year 1 Reed.
Quetzalcoatl is credited for replacing human sacrifice with flowers, songs and
meditation. The reed connects light energy with earth energy in an integration
of multidimensional existence. This trecena is a time to be grateful for family
and home. So share your most precious home, your open and loving heart.
Before I get into the daily energy for 1 –
Ben "ben" or Reed or Corn, on
the 12th all the planets appear to be moving forward from our vantage point on
Earth, except Saturn, Chiron, Neptune and Pluto which
appear to move retrograde or in reverse motion. Remember the themes of
retrograde planets are the review the past, re-evaluate, reminisce and we can
see these themes being played out. Saturn
retrograde reviews our commitments, plans, what we do for work, and structures
of our lives. This one is a little more complicated than most because Saturn
began its apparent reverse movement in Sagittarius, but currently has backed
into the final degrees of Scorpio. Saturn retrograde is a task master that
demands we take responsibility to review, our beliefs while in Sagittarius and
our ethics while in Scorpio. Chiron retrograde in
Pisces is about releasing stuck emotional energy, so that we can return to the
natural flow of life. Retrograde Chiron has us reviewing our wounds so that
they can be released, by having the courage to open our hearts to any fear or
pain associated with our past. When Chiron is in Pisces people are willing to
sacrifice their individual pain in hopes of finding bliss in Universal
consciousness. At its worst this can manifest as folks justifying their
victimhood as some form of martyrdom. This should be transcendence and
surrender without losing ourselves in the experience. Neptune retrograde
is seeking transcendence through spiritual experiences. This will be a time to
use spiritual practices to keep us grounded as we expand our intuition and
consciousness. Both Neptune and Pisces, the sign it rules, tend to be dreamy,
imaginative, difficult to nail down due to their qualities of illusion and
illumination often without any way to know which is which. They represent
compassion and co-dependence, selflessness and loss of self, higher purpose and
substance abuse, in their inspiration to transcend the material plane and
experience something beyond words and thoughts. When Pluto,
the planet of transformation through a death and rebirth cycle, is retrograde,
which is about reviewing the past, and releasing anything from the past that is
a burden to our new path. Pluto in Capricorn is determined in exposing the
darkness, destroying the old order, so that we can rise up like the Phoenix
from the ashes to soar again. Capricorn is about large structures which
includes banks, governments, corporations, and religions. Pluto is in Capricorn
until 2023 where it is destroying and regenerating the structures that are the
foundation of our societies, represented by Capricorn. This is a time of a
cosmic course correction for the entire planet. We cannot continue to harm
Mother Earth for the economic gain of a few. It is the resistance to Pluto's
lesson of letting go of the past, that brings tragedy and pain.
Since Venus, the most sacred planet to the Maya, is slowing to a stop to
turn retrograde before sunrise on the 25th, I thought I’d cover it in this
report. Venus appears
to be stopped at the opening of the month prior to appearing to move retrograde
or in reverse motion from the perspective of the Earth on
July
25th, in the sign of Virgo, which brings the planet of esthetics,
romance, and money to remain in the sign of the Virgin a week before backing
into Leo on the 31st. Venus retrograde reviews
not only our social and romantic relationships, but also what we value, so this
is a period where people with assess what they are attracted to, including
possessions and wealth. When a planet is stopped it is said
to be at the peak of its power. Venus is currently moving through its shadow
period since June 21st, when it crossed the point where it will eventually turn
direct. It remains in the shadow prior to turning retrograde on July 25th, where we receive information about needing to adjust our
direction. Venus is retrograde from the 25th,
at 0 degrees 46 minutes of Virgo until September
6th at 14 Leo, which will be the time when we
will notice events related to our relationships and/or money that shifts our
thinking to prepare us for the change we will implement after Venus is direct.
Often we reconnect with old friends and lovers, and repair ailing relationship
during Venus retrograde. Venus will take a few days to build momentum in moving
reverse after the 25th. Venus was supported by Uranus on June 29th, merged with Jupiter on July 1st, and squares Saturn on the
14th, and during its retrograde it will repeat these alignments
and once direct make these same angles a third time. So we will experience the
themes of wanting social
experiences and romantic encounters to be outside the norm, unusual, and
surprising when Venus dances with Uranus, conjunct Jupiter is optimistic, happy, outgoing and eager, but also can also
bring folks to indulge themselves and spend money, as self discipline is at a
low,
and challenged by Saturn brings a time of having
difficulty relating to others, feeling cool, reserved, isolated, as folks will
be reevaluating what they are getting out of their relationships as compared to
what they are putting in.
Ok let's look at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena.
July
12th for
1 – Ben "ben" or
Reed or Corn: unity experienced through maintaining
the home in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, with the Sun square Uranus which is a
disruptive transit adding to the likelihood of upsets and behaviors that are
upsetting to others. Also unexpected mechanical problems, a sudden argument, or
separation within a relationship. With the Sun involved we are talking about a
conflict between egos. Folks will also be more likely to feel restless, so it
might be important to be conscious of this possibility, and find a way to allow
the restless energy to express itself, rather than being shocked by how it gets
expressed unconsciously. This brings to the accident prone energy, and a time
to realize those accidents are not happening to you, you are creating them. The
drive to do something free and liberating is strong, just try to exercise
enough consciousness to give it expression without causing damage to your life.
With the Sun Pluto opposition on the 6th, we have a week of change, disruption,
and transformation of our routines and settled parts of our lives where we've
become sedentary and complacent. Also on the 12th
the Gemini Moon is challenged by Neptune in which daydreams and fantasies feeling more important
than reality.
The 13th is 2 – Ix
"eesh" or Jaguar: duality experienced through enjoying nature, while Mercury trines Neptune in
the water signs of Cancer, and Pisces. Mercury finding support from Neptune is
very imaginative and creative, also more sensitive to the world around us. This
favors art, music, poetry, romantic literature, and daydreams. We'll probably
hear more people talking about their fantasies and hopes for the future, as
people are less interested in discussing practical matters. A great day for
studying mystical and spiritual subjects, as we can transcend rational thought
and just know through our intuition. During this time we have a stellium in
Cancer, with Mercury, Mars, the Sun, then the Moon, leading up to the New Moon
in the sign of its rulership on the 15th, which puts a great deal of emphasis
on home and family between the 13th and the 16th. Also on the 13th
the Moon in Gemini harmonizes with Uranus, Jupiter, and Venus which shifts from
having pleasant yet restless
energy that desires emotional excitement, followed by feeling in the flow and
having a sense of wholeness, and finally having pleasant energy to be with
friends and loved ones.
July 14th is 3 – Men "men" or Eagle:
taking action through seeing from
a higher perspective, while Venus
square Saturn which can be a day of having difficulty relating to others,
feeling cool, reserved, isolated... Many will be reevaluating what they are
getting out of their relationships as compared to what they are putting in. If
you feel loneliness or depression on the 14th, just realize that this too shall
pass. Also on
the 14th the Sun trines Chiron which
illuminates our wounds by opening our hearts to allow healing. Also on the 14th
the Cancer Moon finds support from Neptune which brings our innermost subconscious fantasies and daydreams
confusing reality, and may not be great for accomplishing much work.
The
15th is
4 - Cib "keeb" or Wisdom: stability through introspection, meditation and
forgiveness, while we have the Cancer New Moon. New moons are times of
new beginnings and in Cancer is about shifting and changing of our families,
and home life to bring more security. New Moons bring the opportunity to set an
intension for manifestation on the following full moon. Look to the house of
your astrology chart that contains 23 degrees 14 minutes Cancer to consider
what area of your life is being activated by this new moon. For me that would be my second house of money, income, financial
prospects, and possessions, so I would set an intension related to using this
energy to increase abundance.
The moon merges with Mercury, Mars, and the Sun, is opposed by Pluto, and
challenged by Uranus. The New Moon conjunct Mercury brings positive energy for integrating our thoughts and
moods, and
Mars brings the other side of the coin with experiencing irritable moods and critical communications. Opposed by Pluto
brings some of our deepest emotions rising to the surface to be examined and
released in a way that leads to empowerment, and challenged by Uranus, people are likely to act hasty and jump to
conclusions. This is a difficult New Moon as folks will want to break free of
limitations and create excitement, with Mercury and Mars opposing Pluto which
can bring power struggles, and obsessive thinking and the compulsion to create
something new, unique, and powerful. Also on the 15th Mars opposes Pluto
which may seem out of control and very intense when Mars opposes its higher
octave planet Pluto. Mars is personal desire and will. Pluto represents the
higher will and desire to transcend limitation to become our authentic and
empowered Self. In opposition these forces are in a tense relationship with
each other. Followed by Mercury opposed by Pluto
which wants to get to the bottom of any problems in relationships or with
people we encounter. Expect intellectual conflicts where folks try to convince
each other of their personal "truth". These conflicts can become
subversive in their attempts to persuade and may result in a smoldering
conflict, which plays out behind the scenes. Power plays are a strong
possibility under this influence. Propaganda and indoctrination are themes we
will likely see escalate for a day or so. The best use of this transit is to
investigate hidden and secret subjects, whether they are coming from our
environment or aspects of ourselves. Research and puzzle solving benefit from
this energetic, just be careful of becoming obsessed with one possibility to
the detriment of everything else. With both Mars and Mercury being opposed by
Pluto, I'd expect hidden and subconscious information and actions to come to
light.
July 16th is 5 - Caban "kah-ban" or Earth: empowerment through gratitude for Mother Earth, while Mercury is conjunct Mars which should be handled with care because folks are more
argumentative and take their egos too seriously for a few days. There could be
information that activates circumstances with the need to take action. Active
meditations such as yoga, tai chi, running or hiking would be a good way to
balance the high level of mental stimulation. Also on the 16th
the Moon in Cancer finds support from Saturn where folks settle into a more sober and realistic view of
life.
The 17th is 6 – Etznab
"etz-nob" or Flint:
being in the flow through being
introspective, while the Leo Moon
makes no angles which does not favor major decisions or purchases, but is good
to use for resting to assimilate this latest round of energy and experiences.
July 18th is 7 - Cauac "cow-ack" or Storm: reflection through recognizing the gifts in adversity,
while Venus enters Virgo for two weeks
due to its retrograde cycle, which brings a
level of caution to romance and socializing. This will be a time when people
want to feel special in the eyes of their partners. For some reason this
placement of Venus tends to promote scandal. This can also bring a love for the
world at large rather than just one person. Also on the 18th Mercury square Uranus which as planet octaves, brings tension between our lower
and higher minds. If we can remain flexible this can bring a fascination with
new information and experiences, but without flexibility this could be nerve
wracking as surprises and upsets become bothersome when the day does not go as
planned. This could bring some folks epiphanies or other lightening fast new
information, that if nor paid attention to, may be gone just as quick. A
recording device may be a good way to capture these thoughts for review on
another day. Use this time for brainstorming and leave analysis and adding
detail for later as concentration is difficult under this influence. Also not a
great day to make important decisions because of the impulsive and hasty nature
of this energetic. Also
on the 18th the Moon finds support from Uranus,
merges with Jupiter and Venus, and is challenged by Saturn, which starts the
day with having the impulse to
engage in activities that make us feel more alive, followed by good feelings
and generosity towards others, then later people feeling lonely or isolated,
and finally feels cheerful, warm, gregarious, and wanting to go out and
socialize.
The 19th is 8 "ah-how" : balance through honoring
the wisdom and memory of our ancestors, with Mercury trine Chiron brings greater understanding to past
wound and greater opportunities for healing to occur. Also on the 19th
the Virgo Moon is opposed by Neptune which has people feeling sensitive emotionally, but confused
regarding the accuracy of what's being felt.
July 20th is 9 - Imix "e-meesh" or Crocodile: patience experienced
through nurturing new beginnings,
while the Moon in Virgo is supported by Pluto, and in harmony with Mars and
Mercury, which begins with bringing out intense emotions and stimulating sensitivity, which
also favors sexual relationships, followed by having the desire to work
independently from others, and finally people feeling chatty and
having numerous conservations.
The 21st is 10 – Ik "eek" or
Wind: manifestation through communication,
while the Sun trines Saturn. When the Sun is supported by Saturn, we have a great
opportunity to learn something about ourselves through our relationship with,
and our effect on our environments. It brings out the close relationship
between who we are and what we do. Also on the 21st
the Virgo Moon harmonizes with the Sun and Saturn which shifts from feeling balance between our inner and outer
worlds, to later wanting to be alone in our thoughts and feelings.
July 22nd is 11 – Akbal "awk-bol" or Night: resolution through contemplating the stars, while
the Sun enters Leo, which is its place of rulership, for
the next month's time we can expect more drama and creative energy. People may
seem more witty, vivacious, chatty, so expect life to turn a little more
entertaining when the sun shines on the King of the Jungle. Also on the 22nd
Mercury trine Saturn in the water signs of Cancer, and Scorpio gains some
balance. Saturn supporting Mercury which may bring our thoughts to more serious
concerns. This brings concentration and attention to details. This is careful
energy to be methodical and painstaking. This is good for organizing your
environment or your life from a conservative and practical perspective. Counsel
from an elder is favored under this influence or you may just want to be alone
in your thoughts. Also
on the 22nd the Libra Moon is challenged by
Pluto which brings having the compulsion to
act in ways that may not be good for us in the long run.
The
23rd is 12 - Kan "con" or Seed or Lizard: understanding through planting seeds and making new
connections, while Mercury enters Leo which brings two
weeks of more exuberant and leadership in communication. Expect that people
will express themselves with a little more drama, less sensitivity, more
stubbornness, and with a flair for humor. It would be best to avoid being
arrogant or boastful under the Leo Mercury influence. Also on the 23rd
the Sun merges with Mercury which stimulates our social interactions and conversations,
particularly with people who are part of our new direction, and in Leo this
could be related to creativity. Also illumination comes to some of the dark
areas of our minds which brings forward information that was previously in the
shadows. This alignment emphasize an increase in conversations, although folks
are more inclined to talk than listen. Being a conjunction, this brings the
initiative to start something new, including starting a new creative venture,
as Mercury rules commerce and the exchange of ideas. This also brings a
sharpness to the thinking process and is a good time to make plans for the
future. Also
on the 23rd the Moon is challenged by Mars, opposed by Uranus, and
harmonizes with Jupiter and Venus which begins with people feeling irritable which could lead to
needless disputes, followed by folks
are emotionally excitable and impulsive, then later brings good feelings and congenial social
interactions, and finally wanting to be with friends and the people we love.
July 24th is 13
- Chicchan "chee-chan" or Serpent: movement to the next stage
through being flexible, with the
first quarter Moon in Scorpio being challenged by the Sun and Mercury, and
supported by Neptune which starts with we encounter challenges to our daily routines, followed by folks
being critical in their communications particularly with the people they have
intimate relationships with, and finally we have fantasies and daydreams
distracting us from accomplishing routine tasks.
So no matter what energies are affecting you during this 1 Reed trecena, take
some time to be in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a
sunrise or sunset, communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment
through introspection, meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is
a blessing no matter what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the
performance of a life time on this world stage, just take some time to observe
the play as well as act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a
human experience.
