This is the "Care and feeding of a New
World Age" report for Gregorian date of September 16th 2014 for 1 - Ix
"eesh" or Jaguar in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, with Pluto moving
direct, the Sun moving into Libra for the Equinox, the Libra New Moon, and
Mercury moving into Scorpio.
September 16th 2014
is 1 - Ix "eesh" or Jaguar carries the themes of shamanism, earth magic,
strength and intellect, spirit of the jungles, gratitude, speed and stealth,
Mother Nature, feminine and feline energy, mysticism, and expansion of
consciousness. The Jaguar represents the primal spiritual force that inhabits
all of us. To the Maya the Jaguar’s spotted coat represents the Milky Way
Galaxy. The Maya also refer to the Milky Way the "White Boned Serpent:
Wakan Chan " and the "path in the sky to the center of the universe:
Kuxan Suum." This 13 day cycle is about exposing our dark spots to the
light and being transformed. This is a time to release fear so we can be in our
intuition and also to turn our attention and actions to taking care of our
planet and our bodies.
Before I get into
the daily energy for 1 - Ix "eesh" or Jaguar trecena, on the 16th all
the planets appear to be moving forward from our vantage point on Earth except
Chiron, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto which appear to move retrograde or in reverse
motion. Chiron retrograde in Pisces is about releasing stuck emotional energy,
so that we can return to the natural flow of life. Uranus
in Aries is seeking to shake our very foundation through the unexpected
rebellion of the individual. Obviously this is a difficult time of upheaval,
destruction, death, unexpected change, natural disasters, violence and war.
Retrograde Uranus in Aries will have people wanting to hurry the process of
getting free. To push the river of revolution whether it be personal or
governmental. I think that this is the time of detaching (Uranus) to act as an
unobstructed individual (Aries). Being an outer planet, Uranus creates events
that we "respond" to. The inner planets effect us personally as
individuals, but the outer planets change the landscape which effects us as a
collective and as individuals within humanity. Neptune
in its own sign of Pisces is seeking transcendence through spiritual
experiences. This will be a time to use spiritual practices to keep us grounded
as we expand our intuition and consciousness. This will be important energy to
nurture as we are in the middle of four years of the challenging Uranus Pluto
squares that have been affecting us as a collective and as individuals. Pluto represents death, completion, and in Capricorn,
the breakdown of structures, to bring about transformation. Pluto in Capricorn
is determined in exposing the darkness, destroying the old order, so that we
can rise up like the Phoenix from the ashes to soar again. Capricorn is about
large structures which includes banks, governments, corporations, and
religions. This is a time of a cosmic course correction for the entire planet.
The big change during the
Jaguar trecena is Pluto changing directions, as it moves from retrograde to
direct on September 22nd. With Pluto, the planet of transformation through a
death and rebirth cycle, has been retrograde since April, which is about
reviewing the past, required releasing anything from the past that is a burden
to our new path. Pluto will take our baggage regardless of our attachment, if
it doesn't have a purpose in our rebirth. What I find interesting about the
astrology of September is Pluto in Capricorn slows to a stop and begins its
forward or direct motion on the 22nd. Planets are said to be at the peak of
their power when they are stopped. Pluto rules power and the misuse of power.
So I expect issues regarding the misuse of power will become even more public
after Pluto is moving direct. When I think about the news from Ferguson
Missouri, the militarization of police in the USA, Gaza, Ukraine, Syria, Iraq,
and Afghanistan. These are all examples of the misuse of power.
Pluto moved into
Capricorn in 2008 which was the point when the overly optimistic investments of
Pluto in Sagittarius started to crash. Pluto in Capricorn is determined in
exposing the darkness, destroying the old order, so that we can rise up like
the Phoenix from the ashes to soar again. Pluto will be in Capricorn until
2024, and early in its transit through a sign there is a breakdown phase, where
something that no longer serves us is dismantled to create space for something
new. Capricorn is about large structures which includes banks, governments,
corporations, and religions. This is a time of a cosmic course correction for
the entire planet. We cannot continue to harm Mother Earth for the economic
gain of a few. Pluto is about power and empowerment which I believe is about
our spiritual evolution from being conditioned to live in fear of not getting
our needs met, like too many rats in a maze, to realizing there is enough for
all, we don't need to fight each other. We have been sold, and at a high price
I might add, the concept of "manufactured lack." It is the resistance
to Pluto's lesson of letting go of the past, that brings tragedy and pain.
Capricorn is about building and achievement and as an earth sign it's rooted in
the material world. The goat climbing the highest mountains is its symbol.
Pluto rules the underworld so look for more events from underground such as
earthquakes, volcanoes, and giant sink holes, and events involving tunnels or
subways, and infrastructures in general, but also battles for underground
resources, such as oil and fracking. Here in Maine we are battling the Nestle
corporation as their subsidiary Poland Springs is taking legal action against
the locals over water rights, as they drain the aquifer for profit, while people's
wells are going dry. Across the US there are reports of efforts to squeeze
water out of drought ridden places for sale and for fracking. Capricorn is also
about the elderly and in the U.S. we have a political battle over social
security, which was paid for by people's payroll deductions and has nothing to
do with the national debt, but because our government borrowed from social
security and has no way to pay it back, they want to dismantle this life line
for our seniors.
Pluto was last in
Capricorn from 1762 to 1778 where it transformed political and economic
structures all over the world, from the end of the Seven Years War when France
ceded Canada to Britain, to political unrest in Europe and her Colonies which
brought changes to many nations. Catherine the Great came to power after the
murder of her husband and went to war with the Ottoman Empire which yielded
Russian control of Turkish territories. Poland was divided into three sections
owned by Austria, Prussia, and Russia. British Parliament passed the Stamp Act
to pay for the cost to quell the Colonial rebellion which than escalated into
the American Revolution. That sounds familiar, increasing taxes to maintain
control of an oppressed population, resulting in the overthrow of the
oppressor. It couldn't happen again... or could it with Pluto in Capricorn. I'm
thinking about current events related to the previous Pluto cycles during the
first American Revolution the colonists were against "Taxation without
representation", but isn't that what we have now in the USA? Our elected
officials do not represent their constituents and are rather in the pockets of
multinational corporations. The story of the misuse of power continues.
The parallels between Britain
during the previous Pluto in Capricorn from 1762 to 1778 and the United States
currently are significant. Britain was deeply in debt after the Seven Years
War, which occurred while Pluto was in Sagittarius. They had colonized many
countries and needed revenue from their subjects, both at home and aboard. The
British Empire was spread thin to maintain their global territory. One of the
sources of income from outside of England came from the East India Trading
Company, which is remembered for trading in tea, although their main commodity
was opium, which was grown in India, using forced labor, and sold to China. The
ships then return to England with China black tea for the wealthy. The British
Government publically condemned the trade of opium, but secretly supported the
practice because of the revenue it produced. The East India Company also
provided ships for the slave trade. The parallels between Britain during the
last Pluto in Capricorn period and the United States during this time of Pluto
in Capricorn are uncanny. Both nations increased the lands under their charge
through wars that had plunged them into debt. They then seek to recover their
lost fortune through unfair and oppressive actions, allowing companies to be
become so large they can run other countries, as the East India Company ran India
during that time period. Eventually this leads to the oppressed masses saying
"enough is enough", which led to the first American Revolution last
time.
The previous Pluto in
Capricorn time period was 1516 to 1533 which was the time period when exploration
of the New World yielded the colonies, but also the anti-Catholic Church
movement with Martin Luther nailing his thesis to the church door in 1517. So
this could also bring forward more of the misuses of power by the Catholic
church.
This time of Pluto at the peak
of power, has it moving aggressively towards its sixth of seven challenging
squares to Uranus in Aries, which will be exact on December 15th at 12 degrees.
These challenging angles between Uranus, the planet of disruption, revolution
and unexpected change in Aries, the sign of the individual, challenging Pluto
the planet of death and destruction but also rebirth, in the sign of Capricorn
representing structures including governments and corporations, is the most
powerful transit of our time. The seeds of these events of these Uranus Pluto
square were planted during the three Uranus Pluto conjunctions of 1965 to 1967. These two titans have exact confrontations an
amazing seven times between 2012 and 2015. Usually this type of transit occurs
three or five times. Seven times is unusual and very intense. The world will be
a very different place by the end of 2015.
Ok let's look at
the daily vibrational energy for this trecena.
September 16th 2014 for 1 - Ix
"eesh" or Jaguar: unity experienced through enjoying nature. Mercury
retrogrades force us to slow down and pay more attention to our lives by making
us focus on the details of our daily experience. When looking at a retrograde
cycle of any of the personal or inner planets, it provides information about a
correction to our present course. During this report period we have Mercury
beginning to travel through the first stage of the retrograde process since 9/14. There are two important points to be aware of in
looking at the cycle. We look at the point where the planet
appears to move backwards and the point where it appears to move forward again. The first stage represents the
shadow time between passing 16 degrees Libra, the point where the planet will
eventually begin moving forward again and the point where the planet slows,
stops, and begins moving in reverse, 2 degrees Scorpio on 10/4. During the
first stage we receive information about needing to adjust our direction. Also
on the 16th the Cancer Moon trines Neptune which brings out our innermost
subconscious fantasies and daydreams confusing reality, which may not be great
for accomplishing much work. The 17th is 2 - Men "men" or Eagle:
duality experienced through seeing from a higher perspective, with Venus
opposing Chiron, which we may feel as tension in our relationships or regarding
money that brings our past wounds to the surface, to allow conscious healing. Also
on the 17th the Moon in Cancer is opposed by Pluto, in harmony with Venus, and
challenged by Uranus which starts with bringing deep emotions rising to the
surface, then later having pleasant energy to be with friends and loved ones,
and finally people are likely to act hasty and jump to conclusions. September
18th is 3 - Cib "keeb" or Wisdom: taking action through
introspection, meditation and forgiveness, with the Cancer Moon finding support
from Saturn, challenged by Mercury, and in harmony with the Sun, which starts
with having a sober realistic view of life, then later has our moods
influencing our ability to think rationally, and finally feeling balance
between our inner and outer worlds. The 19th is 4 - Caban
"kah-ban" or Earth: stability through gratitude for Mother Earth, with
the Leo Moon finding support from Mars which brings the energy for asserting ourselves in a positive manner and standing our
ground if necessary.
September 20th is is 5 - Etznab "etz-nob" or Flint: empowerment
through being introspective, with the Moon in Leo merging with Jupiter,
supported by Uranus, and challenged by Saturn, which shifts from good feelings
and generosity towards others, to later having the impulse to engage in
activities that make us feel more alive, and finally people feeling lonely or isolated. The 21st is 6 - Cauac
"cow-ack" or Storm: being in the flow through recognizing the gifts
in adversity, while Venus sextiles Saturn and Mars squares Neptune. With Saturn harmonizing with
Venus we feel, in a positive way, the obligations in our relationships. There
is a sense of duty of being of service to our loved ones. People will be more
likely to hold group ideals above their own for a day or so. This is a day to
be clear about our relationships based on concrete reality rather than wishful
thinking. This would be a good day to sit down with your lover to discuss your
relationship, where a conscious understanding can be reached about what each of
you expects from the partnership. Remember they're not perfect either and move
forward with open eyes. Because of the focus on practical reality, this transit
can be good for business dealings. Creative activities that require a close
attention to detail are favored under this transit. It also may bring new
friendships or relationships with older people or you may be the older person.
Expect intellectual conflicts where folks try to convince each other of their
personal "truth" while Mars is squaring
Neptune which can be difficult because it brings up a sense of doubt and
discouragement. This also brings energy for confrontations where people feel inadequate
and try to avoid challenges that they hoped would just go away. People also
question what they are doing with their lives or have others trying to convince
that they are making a mistake and need to change their life's direction. Times
like these I appreciate knowing my Human design strategy and authority to
recognize what decisions are correct for me. Neptune and Mars can bring
"deceitful actions" or taking a "devious course" to avoid
adversity. Physical energy is likely to be low under this influence, so it
would be good to avoid excessive strain. Basically this energy is about
conserving your energy while confronting your fears. Recognize that this will
last a few days so it's best not to get lost in any hopeless feelings. Also on
the 21st the Moon in harmony with Mercury, challenged by Mars, and opposed by
Neptune, which begins with being very
social and having lots of conversations, then the potential for people to be
irritable and have needless disputes, and finally feeling sensitive emotionally
but confused regarding the accuracy of what's being felt. September 22nd is 7 -
Ahau "ah-how" or Sun: reflection
through honoring the wisdom and memory of our ancestors, with the Equinox on the 22nd as the Sun moves into Libra which is the sign of the Sun's fall, which
means that the Sun is debilitated in the sign of the scales. Equinox and
solstices astrology charts give us insight to the coming season and this one
with the Jupiter trine Uranus and Mars square Neptune in tight aspect, we are looking
at support for opportunities to create unexpected change, but also the
possibility that people act with deceit and to delude others in the upcoming
season. Saturn is sextile the Moon Venus conjunction so we are looking at
limitation and the need for discipline regarding money, and love, along with
having realistic expectations through being calm and reflective. As folks
develop personal courage, and become less dependent on the opinions of others
(Mars square Neptune), the Libran will lose the vacillation and hesitation for
which this sign is so well known, and become an authority (Sun) in issues of
justice and fairness (Libra), prepared to take responsibility (Saturn) for the
consequences of their actions (Libra) through embracing the opportunities (Jupiter)
to make unexpected changes personally and politically (Uranus). North of the
Equator it is time to review the intentions we planted during the Spring
Equinox. South of the Equator this is time to plant new intentions for the
upcoming year. Also on 22nd Pluto turns direct which
slowly shifts the energy of the planet of death, rebirth and transformation
from our inner experience during the retrograde period, to the outer world as
it continues to destroy the decaying Capricorn structures of government, big
business, and big religion. This has Pluto moving towards its next
confrontation with Uranus on December 15th for their 6th of 7 squares, which
will be a dramatic time as the resistance of the old forms continues to
collapse in its conflict with those seeking individual liberty. Pluto is
affecting many of us as it changes directions at 11 degrees of Capricorn, which
is a time of increasing intensity and force, when superficiality will not be
enough. This will be particularly intense for people with personal planets at
11 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn. Pluto is at the peak of
its power, due to its lack of movement as it changes directions. This can be
destructive energy that needs to fulfill its purpose as transformation. It's
really best to hold lightly and let go if needed. Surrender that which has out
lived its purpose. Also on the 22nd the Virgo Moon finds support from Pluto
which brings out intense emotions and stimulating sensitivity, which also
favors sexual relationships. The 23rd is 8 - Imix "e-meesh" or
Crocodile: balance through nurturing new beginnings, with the Moon in Virgo
harmonizing with Saturn, and merging with Venus which shifts from wanting to be
alone in our thoughts and feelings, to later having cheerful, warm, gregarious
feelings, and wanting to go out and socialize. September 24th is is 9 - Ik
"eek" or Wind: patience experienced through communication, while we
have the Libra New Moon merging with the
Sun, stimulated by Mars, and challenged by Pluto. Pluto square this New Moon
can bring the compulsion to engage in activities that are not good for us in
the long run, but it can also help us to look inside and find what we want in
any situation, as long as we are honest with ourselves. Be cautious of power
struggles as people will easily slip into the role of victim or perpetrator.
Moon stimulated by Mars brings the desire to work independently from others.
New moons are times of new beginnings and in Libra is about balance,
partnership, diplomacy, and ascetics. With Pluto
interacting with this new moon, new beginnings might include something that needs
to be released. New Moons bring the
opportunity to set an intension for manifestation on the following full moon.
Look to the house of your astrology chart that contains 1 degrees 8 minutes
Libra to consider what area of your life is being activated by this new moon.
For me that would be my fourth house of the home and inner world, so I would
set an intension related to using this energy, such doing something to beautify
my home or some type of inner work that is astatically pleasing on that day.
That would fulfill the Libra New Moon's desire for pleasantry and beauty
through the fourth house's role of inner world and the home. Jupiter trine
Uranus in this new moon chart may bring surprising opportunities and the
confidence to take a risk that could lead to a new beginning that includes more
freedom and independence. With the ruling planet of Libra, Venus unaspected or
without a connection to other planets in the chart, suggests that the focus on
relationships with be balanced with the need for autonomy and freedom from the
Jupiter Uranus trine. The 25th is 10 - Akbal "awk-bol" or Night:
manifestation through contemplating the stars, while Jupiter
trines Uranus which brings the desire for expression by doing something
outside of the normal routine. Folks will want to experience a new type of
freedom and to discover aspects of living that until now were unknown. The
inner effect is to explore metaphysical and philosophical matters for inner
truth, and outwardly through some new activity. People are more open to new
ideas which may lead to diverting from the path that has turned into a rut.
This transit can bring a sudden surprise opportunity or some sort of new chance
that can be beneficial. Also on the 25th the Libra Moon harmonizes with Jupiter
and is opposed by Uranus which brings the feeling being in the flow and having
a sense of wholeness, while folks are
emotionally excitable and impulsive. September 26th is 11 - Kan "con"
or Seed or Lizard: resolution through planting seeds and making new
connections, with the Moon merging with Mercury and finding support from
Neptune, which shifts from positive energy for integrating our thoughts and
moods, to later our innermost subconscious fantasies and daydreams confusing
reality, which may not be great for accomplishing much work. The 27th is 12 -
Chicchan "chee-chan" or Serpent: understanding through being
flexible, with Mercury moving into Scorpio which,
due to turning retrograde October 4th, will spend almost only 12 days in the
sign of the scorpion before returning to Libra. Mercury in Scorpio brings a
questioning and probing intellect. That seeks out what is beneath the surface,
and puts an emphasis on fields like medicine, science, religion, and the
occult. So under this influence folks may feel a greater need to investigate
and uncover what previously could not be known. Also on the 27th the Scorpio
Moon in harmony with Pluto and challenged by Jupiter, the day moves from having
deep emotions finding their way to the surface and felt on a profound level, to
later having benevolent and generous feelings for those in our immediate
environment. September 28th is 13 - Cimi "key-mee" or Transformation:
movement to the next stage through releasing what no longer serves us, with the
Moon in Scorpio merging with Saturn, and in harmony with Venus. The days starts
with wanting to be alone in our thoughts and feelings, and later wanting to be
with friends and the people we love.
So no matter what
energies are affecting you during this 1 Jaguar trecena, take some time to be
in the flow of the planet by being in nature, watching a sunrise or sunset,
communing with the stars, being conscious of the moment through introspection,
meditation or being with someone you love. Every day is a blessing no matter
what dramas beckon to distract us. We are all giving the performance of a life
time on this world stage, just take some time to observe the play as well as
act your part. Remember you are a spiritual being having a human experience.
